The unveiling of the Cincinnati Bengals jersey redesign Monday was a special moment for teams and fans.

It was a great success too based on the reactions. The Bengals offered up a sleek new design that got back to basics, hitting many fan requests such as removing the side panel and shadowing from the numbers. Chad Johnson was even there, puffing on a cigar to surprise players like Joe Burrow and Joe Mixon.

The reveal also provided a close-up view at Burrow’s knee.

It sounds like a silly thing, but Burrow’s rehab progress has largely been kept under wraps — on purpose as the team looks to protect him.

But it was so Burrow to flaunt the scar during the reveal:

To say onlookers noticed would be an understatement:

As of now, everything with Burrow is on schedule as he and the team shoot for Week 1. Monday was just something of a small reminder as to what he’s facing as the summer approaches.

It’s safe to say the biggest Cincinnati Bengals stars like the redesigned jerseys just as much as fans do.

Take Joe Burrow, who led the way with the following, according to Tyler Dragon of the Cincinnati Enquirer:

“These uniforms excite me… I think the fans will like them and they’ll be good for us. The guys that are here are the kind of people that are going to take this organization to where we want to go. We’re the future. It’s going to be a fun ride.”

Burrow, of course, was speaking about the players who joined him in attending the big reveal.

Such as wideout Tyler Boyd, who kept his reaction short and sweet, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com: “Unbelievable. They’re futuristic. A new glow for the new us.”

Star running back Joe Mixon was there too and pointed out one of the sleekest new features of the jerseys — the Paul Brown signature on the back.

“They’re fire. That means they’re fresh,” Mixon said. “I love the font. My favorite thing is the signature on the back.”

Let safety Jessie Bates tell it, these are tone-setters as a new era begins:

“We’re setting the standard of what we want. It’s a whole new locker room. Stuff like this gives the players a lift. I feel the guys here are among the main guys. It’s a different look and we’re excited about it.”

Similar story from defensive end Sam Hubbard:

The Bengals unveiled the new jerseys early Monday morning to a widespread positive reaction.

The big reveal featured Joe Burrow, Joe Mixon, D.J. Reader, Jessie Bates, Sam Hubbard, Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd, as well as Chad Johnson even making an appearance.

The new look is sure to remind fans of the “Color Rush” variants that were so popular and coincidentally, just as basic.

The Cincinnati Bengals unveiled their new jerseys on Monday after months of speculation and even an alleged leak.

The big moment, featuring Joe Burrow, Joe Mixon, D.J. Reader, Jessie Bates, Sam Hubbard, Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd, indeed showed off a flashy new design in sleek black, white and orange colorways.

It’s indeed a back-to-basics moment with no number shadows, no side panels and reworked stripes on the shoulders and pants.

Previously, the team had made it clear the iconic striped helmet wasn’t going anywhere. The team had also dropped hints about the redesign alongside some hints at the team unveiling a Ring of Honor. A prior alleged jersey redesign leak had caused a big ripple among fans, too.

Cincinnati Bengals tease jersey redesign with player reactions

The Cincinnati Bengals continue to tease the upcoming release of the jersey redesigns.

[mm-video type=video id=01f1jh5wgcnqgaxnpk playlist_id=01eqbw0bft20de1r4d player_id=none image=https://images2.minutemediacdn.com/image/upload/video/thumbnail/mmplus/01f1jh5wgcnqgaxnpk/01f1jh5wgcnqgaxnpk-04f4d3cf7f0a4168b43ea421b7b766c8.jpg]

The Cincinnati Bengals are making the most of the jersey redesign hype in the wake of announcing when they will officially make the big reveal.

After hinting there are nine different jersey combinations and detailing the “classic” and “sleeker” principles that went into them, the Bengals hit social media for a special post.

That post included some of the team’s biggest stars — Joe Burrow, Joe Mixon, Tee Higgins and others — getting filmed when they first set eyes on the new jerseys.

It’s a brief thing and — of course — doesn’t actually show the redesigned jerseys. But judging from the reactions of the guys involved, they’re bound to be a hit.

Those jerseys officially get unveiled Monday morning, with some of those names featured in the first purchasable editions.

These Bengals players will be featured in jersey redesign reveal and in pro shop

Here are the players who will be featured during the unveiling of the redesigned Cincinnati Bengals jerseys.

[mm-video type=video id=01f1jh5wgcnqgaxnpk playlist_id=01eqbw0bft20de1r4d player_id=none image=https://images2.minutemediacdn.com/image/upload/video/thumbnail/mmplus/01f1jh5wgcnqgaxnpk/01f1jh5wgcnqgaxnpk-04f4d3cf7f0a4168b43ea421b7b766c8.jpg]

Monday’s reveal of the Cincinnati Bengals jersey redesign that features nine different combinations will put five players in the spotlight.

Bengals fans can probably guess the names.

According to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com, these were the names they ordered up last September: “Back in September they opted to order Burrow’s No. 9, running back Joe Mixon’s No. 28, wide receiver Tyler Boyd’s No. 83, Tee Higgins’ No. 85 and defensive end Sam Hubbard’s No. 94.”

Getting these jerseys produced is quite a bit more involved than one might think. Those are the five that will be there in the pro shop after the big reveal.

But that’s just the beginning.

Hobson also added that two more special players will have jerseys in the shop soon enough: “As last season unfolded, they ordered the No. 30 of free safety Jessie Bates III and No. 24 of Vonn Bell and plan to have them in the Pro Shop in September.”

And of course, they’re keeping an eye on the fifth pick and will look to make that happen too.

With a dramatic roster overhaul continuing into this offseason, the Bengals had to plan ahead by focusing on their core pieces and now it’s only a matter of days before the unveiling happens.

Bengals say jersey redesign will feature nine combinations

More details on the Cincinnati Bengals jersey redesign.

[mm-video type=video id=01f1jh5wgcnqgaxnpk playlist_id=01eqbw0bft20de1r4d player_id=none image=https://images2.minutemediacdn.com/image/upload/video/thumbnail/mmplus/01f1jh5wgcnqgaxnpk/01f1jh5wgcnqgaxnpk-04f4d3cf7f0a4168b43ea421b7b766c8.jpg]

The Cincinnati Bengals announced Monday, April 19, is the big day for the reveal of the redesigned jerseys.

Still no word on what those will officially look like of course, but we can speculate given some important details.

Details, meaning Elizabeth Blackburn told Dan Hoard there will be nine different uniform sets, consisting of three tops and three pants.

Blackburn said the following, per Austin Elmore of 700 WLW: “There will be three different jerseys and three different pants that give us, at max, a combination of nine, but we will work with the team to decide. I’m not sure fans will see all 9 of them this year. There’s one that’s sort of meant to be together.”

Fans know where this is going. The three different colors will be orange, black and white, of course.

Perhaps most interesting is that there will be three different pants, which is a new feel for the team. Maybe we’re talking about orange pants, maybe something else like a throwback combo. What this means for the “Color Rush” editions is hard to say.

Either way, it’s nice to have a little more detail before the jerseys officially arrive.

Cincinnati Bengals fans react to potential jersey redesign leak

Cincinnati Bengals fans had plenty of thoughts about a potential jersey redesign leak.

[jwplayer QIDx8I61]

Sunday, a set of Cincinnati Bengals redesigned jerseys appeared to leak on social media, immediately going viral.

The jerseys, never seen publicly before, certainly looked the part of something official — or very close to it. Bathed in new stripes and with refinements on the old design that included the removal of the number shadow and side panels, it fit right with what the team said it wanted to do with the redesign.

We probably won’t know for a long time whether the leak was real, provided the team doesn’t bump up the timetable (the team has said it won’t reveal them in March).

For now, fans had a wide range of reactions to the potential leak, which gives us a pretty good idea of how the jerseys will be received if they’re the real thing:

Did the Cincinnati Bengals jersey redesign just leak on social media?

Cincinnati Bengals redesigned jerseys might have just leaked on social media.

[jwplayer QIDx8I61]

It looks like the Cincinnati Bengals jersey redesign leaked on social media.

After the team recently said it won’t reveal the anticipated jersey redesigns in the month of March, a viral image from an Ebay post appeared to leak the design over several different listings with jersey images.

The jerseys in the image have no side panels and clean up the stripes on the side. They also place a smooth Paul Brown signature on the interior of the collar. There also isn’t a number shadow on the supposed leaked jerseys.

For now, it’s probably best to reserve any judgment until the team actually announces something. It’s also best to wait until actually seeing them on a player instead of the long-sleeved jerseys just hanging there on a hangar.

But as of right now, a jersey leak was almost inevitable in this day and age and this would have to be a pretty elaborate hoax for it to not be close to the real thing.

Cincinnati Bengals say team won’t reveal redesigned jerseys this month

The Cincinnati Bengals will unveil redesign jerseys this offseason — but not in March.

[jwplayer QIDx8I61]

Cincinnati Bengals fans anxious to see the team’s redesigned jerseys will have to wait a little bit longer.

Elizabeth Blackburn, Cincinnati’s director of strategy and engagement, recently popped up on Lance McAlister‘s 700 WLW radio show in Cincinnati and dropped some details about her involvement with the new jerseys and when they’re going to make the big reveal:

“The uniform project was in motion already but it was fun to get to be a part of taking that over the finish line and we’re very excited to roll those out….that’s top secret, but it’s not this month.”

Translation: Not in March.

Blackburn also dove into a discussion about honoring past players, improving the fan experience and more on the show not too dissimilar from the outstanding letter she penned to fans in February.

Not that this was too unexpected. It always made sense for the Bengals to drop the redesigned jerseys around the draft. A mid-March drop would be nice to build hype, but if the team spends big in free agency again, fans can probably be at peace with the timetable.
