Bengals will be without Ja’Marr Chase vs. Browns on MNF

As the Browns prepare to take on the Cincinnati Bengals, they will not have to gameplan around Ja’Marr Chase

The Cleveland Browns will have one less threat to deal with on Monday night when the Cincinnati Bengals make the trip up I-71 North. First reported by Malik Wright and confirmed by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Chase is facing a 4-to-6 recovery time with a hip injury. While the Browns have injuries of their own to work through, this is a massive blow to the opposition.

The Bengals still have plenty of threats to keep defensive coordinator awake at night, however, as Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd will step up as Joe Burrow’s primary pass catchers. The Browns currently rank as the 28th-best defense in DVOA, so it will take a lot more than one player missing this game to stifle the Bengals’ offense.

However, losing Chase is a big loss for the Bengals regardless.
