Colts sign S Ibraheim Campbell to the practice squad

Colts make a roster move.

The Indianapolis Colts signed safety Ibraheim Campbell to the practice squad and released cornerback Christian Angulo to the practice squad, the team announced Tuesday.

Campbell signed with the Colts practice squad earlier this season and has been on the active roster since Malik Hooker went down with a torn Achilles in Week 2. He was mostly used as a depth and special teams piece.

Campbell was released on Saturday before the team’s Week 6 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, along with defensive tackle Eli Ankou, who was claimed off of waivers by the Houston Texans.

Angulo has been on and off the practice squad for the Colts for the last few weeks and could continue to be as the team makes more moves.

Colts make a practice squad move.

The Indianapolis Colts signed cornerback Christian Angulo to the practice squad and released linebacker Jonas Griffith from the practice squad, the team announced Tuesday.

Angulo was signed to the practice squad exactly a week ago but was released just two days later when the Colts signed veteran linebacker Najee Goode to the practice squad.

The Colts are seemingly healthy at cornerback right now with all five players having roles in the Week 5 loss against the Cleveland Browns. Rookie sixth-round pick Isaiah Rodgers even brought back a kickoff for a touchdown to make an impact.

Griffith was signed to the practice squad last week as well when the Colts were dealing with injuries to the linebacker position, but it seems the team wants flexibility in the secondary.

The Indianapolis Colts signed cornerback Christian Angulo to the practice squad and released wide receiver Krishawn Hogan and tight end Ethan Wolf from the practice squad, the team announced Tuesday.

Angulo was one of the players who worked out for the Colts last week before the Week 4 win against the Bears. Hogan was signed the practice squad last week after the injury to Michael Pittman Jr. landed him on the injured reserve list.

With the return of Trey Burton to the offense, the Colts free up a spot on the practice squad with the release of Wolf.

The Colts also may be down a cornerback as T.J. Carrie deals with a hamstring injury. He was inactive for the game against the Bears and it isn’t clear when he will be able to return.
