The Chicago Bulls (3-6) and Atlanta Hawks (4-6) meet Saturday at State Farm Arena with tip-off set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Bulls vs. Hawks odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: First meeting; Bulls won 3-1 last season

The Bulls lost their 4th straight game Thursday, falling 135-119 to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Chicago couldn’t cover as a 9.5-point home underdog, and the Over (227) hit. It was the second time in 3 games the Bulls allowed 135 points, a tough hole to dig out of. G Coby White (24 points, 8 assists) and C Nikola Vucevic (25 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists) led Chicago in scoring.

The Hawks lost a heartbreaker in Detroit, 122-121, covering as 2.5-point underdogs Friday while the Over (227.5) cashed. G Trae Young gave Atlanta a 121-120 lead with 12.5 seconds left, but Pistons G Cade Cunningham‘s hook shot with 8.5 seconds remaining put Detroit ahead for good. Young finished with 35 points and 13 assists, while F Jalen Johnson added 20 points and 9 rebounds.

Bulls at Hawks picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 122, Hawks 118

Moneyline

PASS.

I believe the Bulls (+125) will win, as they’re well-rested and the Hawks are on a back-to-back after a tough loss. I’m avoiding the moneyline, though, and playing it safe with the spread instead.

Against the spread

BET BULLS +2.5 (-105).

The Bulls have won 6 of the last 10 meetings, going 7-3 ATS. However, covering the spread will be more challenging without LaVine, who usually benefits from G Josh Giddey’s assists. That said, Giddey has been relentless offensively and will likely continue leading his team effectively.

The Hawks looked strong in their last win, and with No. 1 pick F Zaccharie Risacher potentially living up to expectations, their high-powered offense will be tough to stop. Still, the Bulls have had success recently, and Atlanta struggles on back-to-backs, having failed to cover on the second night of their last 2. Despite the Hawks’ scoring advantage, we’ll back the Bulls to cover.

Over/Under

BET OVER 237.5 (-110).

Both Atlanta and Chicago play an up-tempo style, with the Hawks ranking in the top 10 for scoring (115.9 PPG) and the Bulls in the top 15 (113.7 PPG). Both teams are also in the top 5 for possessions per game.

The total has gone Over in 2 of the last 3 meetings. Additionally, the total has hit the Over in 5 of Atlanta’s last 6 home games and 4 of Chicago’s last 5 on the road. With these trends, I’m expecting this game to go Over Saturday.

Chicago Bulls at Atlanta Hawks picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Chicago Bulls at Atlanta Hawks odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Chicago Bulls (11-14) visit State Farm Arena Sunday to face the Atlanta Hawks (13-13). Tip-off is at 6:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Bulls vs. Hawks odds, and our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Bulls faced a Dallas Mavericks squad without all-star G Luka Doncic, and they took advantage of the matchup, dropping 144 points in a 29-point rout Saturday as 4.5-point favorites. Although the Bulls are below .500 this season, they are 7-5 at home and go to Atlanta on a 2 game winning streak.

The Hawks are trending in the wrong direction. With the fallout between G Trae Young and coach Nate McMillan, Atlanta is on a 3-game losing streak. Their last game was Friday at the Brooklyn Nets, where they lost 120-116, but covered as 7.5-point underdogs. They’re back home where they play much better.

Bulls at Hawks picks and predictions

Prediction

Hawks 115, Bulls 113

Moneyline

After a 2-game homestand the Bulls are back on the road, where they have struggled this year. The Bulls are 4-9 as the visitor versus the Hawks who are 8-5 at home. On top of that Chicago is 1-2 on a rest disadvantage.

LEAN HAWKS -140.

Against the spread

The Bulls have only covered once in their last 5 road games, but the Hawks have not been great either. After covering in their previous game they are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games. I know the line is tight but I see this game being close and will AVOID.

Over/Under

Trendwise the Under is strong. The Bulls have hit the Under in 7 of their last 9 games on no rest. The Hawks have gone Under in 5 of their last 7 home games.

Another reason to like the Under is that Chicago ranks 26th in the league in 3 pointers made per game (10.5). Atlanta has the 3rd-best defense against the 3, giving up just 11 of them per game.

BET UNDER 234.5 (-105)

Chicago Bulls at Atlanta Hawks odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Chicago Bulls at Atlanta Hawks odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Chicago Bulls (39-23) travel to Phillips Arena Thursday to take on the Atlanta Hawks (29-32) . Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Bulls vs. Hawks odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Hawks enter the game following a 9-point road loss to the Celtics, failing to cover as 6.5-point underdogs.

Atlanta is 4-6 against the spread (ATS) over its last 10 and is also 4-6 straight up in that span. Led by All-Star G Trae Young, the Hawks are 27-34 ATS on the season.

Chicago is a much better 36-25-1 ATS and 39-23 straight up. Howeverthe Bulls are just 15-14 on the road. Chicago opened as 4-point favorites and were quickly priced down to 1.5-point favorites.

The Bulls have covered 6 of their last 9, but have failed to cover in their last 2, losing to the Grizzlies and Heat by 6 and 13 respectively.

Bulls at Hawks odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Hawks 116, Bulls 112

Money line

BET on the HAWKS -103.

The line movement indicates sharp money is pouring in on the Hawks. Before playing this, I’d make sure Young is set to play as he’s listed as questionable on the injury report.

The Hawks haven’t been good for most of the season, but over their last 10 games, they actually have a .6 better net rating than Chicago.

The Hawks rank 7th in offensive rebounding and 3rd in turnover rate over that span of games. Chicago will continue to be without its two best perimeter defenders, which should help Young be able to operate with ease.

Lastly, Chicago isn’t good on the road at just 15-14 while Atlanta has found success at home 18-13 compared to 11-19 on the road. Having played better lately and in a situation where they’d had success, I’d back the Hawks here.

Against the spread

PASS.

The Hawks haven’t lost a single game this season by just 1 point, so I’ll take the better money line odds.

Over/Under

“LEAN” to the UNDER 232.5 (-110).

The Bulls-Hawks has been assigned Josh Tiven as a crew chief. He’s just 21-24 O/U this season, allowing just under 220 points per game. Tom Washington, the referee, is just 14-21 O/U.

On top of that, while both teams have seen their defensive rating slip to over 114 over their last 10, the Hawks haven’t been playing with enough pace to warrant a 232.5-point total.

They rank 20th in pace over their last 10 whereas the Bulls sit 12th. Also the Bulls have gone Under the total in 5 of their last 6, and the Hawks have gone Under in 2 of their last 3.
