We know that Mel Tucker likes size in the trenches. Since coming to Michigan State football, it feels like he has extended an offer to every high school lineman in the country over 6-foot-5. That is the case with Charlie Symonds, a massive, 6-foot-7 offensive tackle out of The Taft School in Connecticut who the Spartans offered last week.
MSU is only Symonds second Power-5 offer, with the other coming from Virginia. He is currently unranked and this continues a trend of MSU getting in very early in the recruitment of guys who fit their desired positional profile.
After a great talk with @CoachCKap I am blessed to say I have have received an offer from @MSU_Football ! @TaftFootballCT pic.twitter.com/HFwOYcYBX2
