Michigan State is looking to add a big skilled athlete to their 2022 class by offering 6-foot-4, 220 pounds tight end Charlie Kenrich of Middletown, Ohio.
Kenrich — who plays for Lakota East High — announced on Twitter on Saturday that he received a scholarship offer from the Spartans. Michigan State joins a handful of MAC schools, Purdue, Virginia Tech, Air Force, Navy, Duke and Vanderbilt to offer Kenrich.

As of right now, Kenrich is listed as a three-star prospect and ranked as the No. 20 overall prospect in Ohio for the class of 2022, according to 247Sports.
Kenrich considers himself an athlete — according to his Twitter account — so it’ll be interesting to see if Michigan State views him as a TE or D-Lineman. It is telling, however, that it was tight ends coach Ted Gilmore who Kenrich mentioned in his tweet on the scholarship.
