Poll: Which Chargers uniform combo is the best?

The Los Angeles Chargers have the best uniforms in the NFL, but which one ranks No. 1?

The Chargers possess arguably the best-looking uniforms in all of football, with those being the ones that were unveiled last year.

With that being said, now that Los Angeles has worn every single combination, I want to know which one sits atop of the throne.

Considering they’re all clean, it’s difficult to pick one. But the poll should allow us to gauge the general population’s clear cut No. 1 choice.

For reference, here are all the combinations:

  1. Powder Blue on Yellow
  2. White on White
  3. Powder Blue on White
  4. Royal on Royal
  5. White on Yellow
  6. Navy Blue on Navy Blue

Vote in the poll below to let us know which one ranks superior:

Door opens for Chargers to wear throwback uniforms in 2022

The Los Angeles Chargers might be set up to don their classic uniforms.

The Chargers have arguably the best uniforms in the NFL, but the threads that the team wore back in the day still ranked near the top.

It just so happens that Los Angeles might be able to bring them back as early as 2022, thanks to a new rule change.

The NFL sent a memo that said the league will allow teams to wear two different helmets starting in 2022. This changes a rule that previously prevented teams from wearing more than one type of helmet.

Now, with the league allowing two helmets per player, it provides more variety in jersey and helmet options.

Therefore, could we possibly see these in two seasons?

Chargers announce rookie jersey numbers for 2021 season

The Los Angeles Chargers rookies have their numbers set in stone for the 2021 season.

The Chargers announced the jersey numbers for their 2021 rookie class on Thursday night.

Here’s a look at the first-year players and the numbers they will be sporting:

  • OT Rashawn Slater – 70
  • CB Asante Samuel, Jr. – 26
  • WR Josh Palmer – 5
  • TE Tre’ McKitty – 88
  • EDGE Chris Rumph II – 94
  • OT Brenden Jaimes – 64
  • LB Nick Niemann – 31
  • RB Larry Rountree III – 35
  • S Mark Webb – 29

Chargers LB Kenneth Murray changes jersey number

Chargers linebacker Kenneth Murray will now be sporting a single-digit number.

You will no longer to see No. 56 head-hunting in the middle of the defense for the Chargers.

Linebacker Kenneth Murray, who previously wore that number in his rookie season, will now be sporting No. 9 moving forward, according to the team’s official website.

After NFL owners approved a rule change proposed by the Chiefs that loosens jersey number rules, Murray was among the few who expressed interest in changing numbers.

Murray wore No. 9 all throughout his collegiate career and it just so happens that it was available, which wouldn’t have caused any discretions between players.

Safety Derwin James is another player who will most likely change his jersey number, going from No. 33 to 3, which is the number he wore at Florida State.

Chargers QB Justin Herbert among top 50 in merchandise sales

It only took a year for Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert to put the league on notice.

Quarterback Justin Herbert took the league by storm in Year 1.

The Offensive Rookie of the Year was the only Chargers player represented on the NFLPA’s top 50 player sales list, which ran from the period of March 1, 2020 to Feb. 28, 2021, finishing No. 34 overall.

According to the NFLPA, this is the only verified rankings of all officially licensed NFL player products and merchandise.

Included are adult and youth game jerseys, T-shirts, hoodies, bobbleheads, plush toys, socks, face coverings, headbands, figurines, wall decals, backpacks, pennants, photos, drink ware, and pet products.

Herbert set rookie records for total touchdowns (36), passing touchdowns (31), completions (396), multi-passing touchdown games (10), games with 300 yards passing (8) and three-passing touchdown games (6).

He was just 39 yards short of Andrew Luck’s record of 4,374 yards passing.

QB Tyrod Taylor working out in new Chargers helmet

The Los Angeles Chargers are going to have the freshest uniforms in the NFL.

The Chargers broke the internet when they released their new uniforms earlier this offseason.

It won’t be long until we see Los Angeles suit up in them, with the regular season slated to start as scheduled despite the coronavirus outbreak.

Quarterback Tyrod Taylor gave a small preview of what to expect with their new threads, as he was spotted working out in their new helmets.

The Chargers just owned every NFL team with their jersey redesign

The Los Angeles Chargers unveiled their new uniforms today, and it puts all other teams to shame.

‘Tis the season for change in the NFL — change of wardrobe that is.

With teams like the Buccaneers, Patriots, Falcons, Browns and even Colts making changes to their uniforms this offseason, it seemed as though the madness was over. Well, think again.

While each team’s new look is an upgrade over their previous one, none can hold a candle to what the Los Angeles Chargers just did. Take a look at LA’s new uniforms, which puts everyone else to shame.

While the navy blue unis certainly make them look similar to the old Rams, the baby blues and yellow are a perfect call back to the past, a theme most teams have embraced in their redesign.

The best feature? Numbers on the helmets.

The Rams have yet to unveil their new look, but I’m going to say it’s probably not as cool as this.
