Watch: Leo Chenal shows off vertical at Chiefs’ parade

Rookie linebacker Leo Chenal showed off his insane athletic ability by launching himself up the side of the Chiefs’ championship parade bus.

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in Super Bowl LVII on Sunday and they had their championship parade Wednesday. Although there were many noteworthy moments, one former Badger caught the eyes of the internet.

Rookie linebacker Leo Chenal showed off his insane athletic ability by launching himself from the street up the side of the Chiefs’ championship parade bus. The bus is approximately 11 feet tall, a distance that Chenal made look miniscule.

The rookie finished his first campaign in the NFL with 41 tackles, including two sacks, while playing all 20 of the Chiefs’ regular season and postseason contests. He figures to be a large part of the team’s defensive recipe moving forward.

Patrick Mahomes looked like he was having so much fun at the Chiefs Super Bowl parade

Patrick Mahomes is having a blast, as he should

Obviously, when you win a Super Bowl, the events in the aftermath are always going to be a blast. That’s just how it goes — especially for the Super Bowl MVP. This year, that’s Patrick Mahomes.

He already had the MVP Disneyland visit, which is a pretty cool perk in itself. But then there’s also the parade that comes after the win. We know how that gets. Just ask Tom Brady.

Now, it’s Mahomes’ turn to enjoy the parade once again for the second time in his career. And, boy, did he ever.

The parade has barely gotten started and Mahomes is already vibing out there with the people. You absolutely love to see it.

Beer in one hand, Super Bowl MVP in another. The boy is having a great time. He’s even dancing.

He’s even chugging beers with his WWE title belt on. This is just awesome stuff. Forget about the part where he nearly falls off the bus, because that definitely just happened.

He’s even out there touching the people. It’s such a cool scene.

My guy is having the time of his life right now and he absolutely deserves it. Everyone loved to see it.

Photos: UGA football celebrates back-to-back national championships

UGA football’s parade to celebrate back-to-back national championships was a lot of fun!

The Georgia Bulldogs celebrated winning back-to-back national championships in Athens on Jan. 14. Georgia fans waited a long time after 1980 season to win another championship, but Dawg fans did not have to wait long after the 2021 championship.

Georgia’s Kirby Smart, Stetson Bennett, Kelee Ringo, and more were on hand to celebrate the Bulldogs’ 65-7 national championship victory over TCU. Georgia players, coaches, and family all interacted with fans and eventually made it into Sanford Stadium.

A lot of elite recruits came to Athens for the championship parade.

What were the scenes like on the streets in Athens and in Sanford Stadium as Georgia celebrated another national title?

Destanni Henderson couldn’t make South Carolina’s championship parade so Dawn Staley made sure she was there in spirit

This is how you show your players love.

One thing about former South Carolina guard and current Indiana Fever draftee Destanni Henderson is that nobody is going to outwork her. Nobody.

She’s going to get her practice reps in. She’s going to hit the gym. She’s going to do whatever it takes to put herself in the best position to succeed. Henderson has always been that way during her rise to stardom.

If you need proof of that, look no further than where she is right now.

The WNBA draft was just on Monday. Henderson was picked by the Indiana Fever in the second round of the draft. She’s already in Indiana getting her bearings straight.

Of course, South Carolina just won its second National Championship last week in Women’s Basketball. Henderson absolutely starred in the championship game, too. They held their championship parade on Wednesday but Henderson couldn’t make it because she was already in Indiana putting in work.

Knowing what she was doing and where she was at, South Carolina Head Coach Dawn Staley wore a pair of shorts from her clothing line to make sure she was there in spirit.

It was an extremely cool gesture from a head coach that is extremely loved by her players. You can certainly see why here.

“I miss Henny, too. Henny’s already in Indy, but I got her shorts on…Henny, I got your shorts on today…Go get your dream, Henny.”

What an extremely thoughtful gesture from Staley. She’s making sure Henderson is still there in spirit and that’s awesome.

Henderson certainly appreciated it herself.

What a cool moment. You absolutely love to see it.

Donovan Mitchell laughs at Steve Kerr’s parade speech during ‘The Last Dance’

Donovan Mitchell got a laugh from Steve Kerr during episode nine of “The Last Dance.”

After spending five seasons alongside Michael Jordan in Chicago, Steve Kerr has been a featured character in the Bulls 10-part documentary series.

In a previous chapter, Kerr’s famous practice altercation with Jordan was a topic of conversation. In episode nine of “The Last Dance,” the Golden State Warriors head coach got a hefty slice of screentime. Prior to the documentary series finale, Kerr’s game-winning shot from the 1997 NBA Finals was thrust into the spotlight.

With only seconds remaining, the Bulls were tied with the Utah Jazz in game-six of the Finals. Instead of adding another game-winning shot to his resume, Jordan found Kerr at the top of the key for an open jumper.

Kerr drilled the eventual final shot of the game to give Chicago an 88-86 lead. Utah turned the ball over on the final possession of the contest to seal Jordan’s fifth title.

When the Bulls returned to Chicago, Kerr delivered a memorable speech at the championship parade. The former player turned Golden State coach jokingly said he had to bail Jordan out.

After watching The Last Dance, Donovan Mitchell chimed in on Twitter to give his thoughts on Kerr’s speech. The Utah Jazz All-Star got a laugh out of Kerr’s parade performance.
