Miami Hurricanes fans save falling cat with American flag at Hard Rock Stadium

Yes, the cat was okay!!!

Talk about being in the right place at the right time!

On Saturday, during the Miami Hurricanes game against the Appalachian State Mountaineers, a cat was stuck in a precarious position in the upper decks of Hard Rock Stadium. Somehow, a cat made its way to the upper levels of the stadium and then fell to the lower level, but thankfully a bunch of Hurricanes fans were able to make the save with an American flag!

Obvious warning on the videos below for tense situations and animals in peril, especially with the crowd dramatically reacting in the moment, so proceed with caution.

Here’s a different angle of the fall as well.

It’s well known that cats can survive falls from extremely high heights thanks to their tails and their flexibility, but it’s still terrifying to see happen in real time. Luckily, that group of Miami fans thought fast and were able to secure the catch and the save in dramatic fashion.

And of course, they also held the cat aloft like Simba inย The Lion Kingย after their incredible catch.

So yes, no cats were harmed in this dramatic moment, but this is absolutely one of the wildest moments we’ve seen at a sporting event… ever.

Yankees grounds crew desperately tries, and fails, to corral a cat on the field

Cat on the loose!

Cat alert at Yankee Stadium!

On Monday, during the New York Yankees game versus the Baltimore Orioles, play was halted in the bottom of the eighth after a cat wandered onto the field. The Yankees ground crew was tasked with rescuing the cat, but no matter how hard they tried, it eluded their grasp at every turn as the delay took more than a handful of minutes to be resolved.

Much like other cats on the field at major sporting events, the real joy of the moment came from the fans reactions and the broadcasters commentary of the event, with Yankees fans chanting “MVP” and “let’s go cat” as it scampered along the outer walls of the field.

I, personally, am a big fan of the Orioles call of the cat, as they were equally overjoyed at this sudden, adorable stop and also worried for the safety of the lost cat.

Of course, as hilarious and adorable as this moment is, it was certainly a terrifying experience for the cat and let’s just hope the cat is in good hands now that it is safely off the field.

Watch: Fearless cat sends coyote running for cover

Police in the Canadian province of British Columbia captured rare footage last week showing a fearless black cat chasing a coyote down a street.

Police in the Canadian province of British Columbia captured rare footage last week showing a fearless black cat chasing a coyote down a street.

โ€œThe things our patrol officers see at 4 a.m.,โ€ Port Moody Police stated in a tweet describing the video clip. โ€œCat 1, coyote 0.โ€

Viewers can see the cat dart from beneath a car, where the coyote had been sniffing, and sprint after the canine before it disappears around a dark corner.

Many were amused and several comments alluded to the bravery of the cat and cowardice expressed by a wily predator known to occasionally prey upon cats and small dogs.

However, several viewers wondered whether this might have been a trap. Coyotes often hunt in packs and sometimes lure potential prey into ambush range with these kinds of clever tactics.

But those who might have been saddened by this prospect were delighted to receive an update the next day by Port Moody Police:

โ€œThankfully thatโ€™s not the case,โ€ the department tweeted. โ€œWe followed the lone coyote out of the area. And the same cat was seen doing its rounds in the parking lot again this early morning!โ€
