There will be a host of recruits visiting Michigan State this upcoming weekend, which includes three-star athlete Cashus Shivers of Detroit.

Shivers announced early on Monday that he plans on attending Michigan State’s “Spartan Dawg Con” event this upcoming weekend. This annual event brings in numerous recruits and alumni to celebrate Michigan State football and its offerings.

Shivers ranks as the No. 45 athlete and No. 405 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He plays for Detroit Cass Tech and is listed as the No. 9 player from Michigan in the class.

Michigan State has already extended a scholarship offer to Shivers. Other notable schools to have offered Shivers includes Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisville, Missouri and Pitt.

Michigan State football is the latest power five school to extend an offer to in-state 2025 athlete Cashus Shivers.

Shivers announced the offer from the Spartans shortly after taking a visit to Michigan State this weekend. Shivers is from Detroit and plays for powerhouse Cass Tech.

Shivers is currently unranked on 247Sports, but will be one of the higher-ranked players from Michigan in good time. He holds offers from more than 10 schools already, including the likes of Michigan State, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisville, Missouri and Pitt.
