Stanford, Anderson, Emory, Keiser are No. 1 in latest 2024 Mizuno WGCA Coaches polls

These are the third women’s college golf coaches polls for the fall 2024 season.

The third women’s college golf coaches polls of the fall 2024 season have been released by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association.

Stanford (Div. I) and Keiser (NAIA) are repeat No. 1s in their respective polls but this time around, they’re joined by Anderson (Div. II) and Emory (Div. III).

The Cardinal’s lead in Div. I was down slightly. Three weeks ago, Stanford garnered 21 of the 23 first-place votes with South Carolina getting the other two. This time around, Stanford got 18 first-place vote, while Arksanas got three. The Razorbacks climbed from No. 9 to No. 2 in this poll. South Carolina slipped one spot to No. 3 but still collected four first-place votes. Texas is fourth in this poll and USC, which received one first-place vote, checks in at No. 5.

The next Mizuno WGCA Coaches polls will be released Friday, Nov. 15.

These are the second polls of the fall 2024 season. The Women’s Golf Coaches Association releases its polls about every four weeks.

Stanford remains atop of the Div. I ranking after getting all but two first-place votes. South Carolina got the other two and is the new No. 2 in this poll. USC drops from 2 to 3, while Texas remains No. 4. UCLA is the fifth team in this poll.

Stanford women’s golf starts No. 1 in Preseason Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll for 2024-25

Stanford, Dallas Baptist, Carnegie Mellon and Keiser are in the No. 1 spots in the preseason polls.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association has released its preseason polls for the 2024-25 season.

The Preseason Mizuno WGCA Coaches Polls are headlined by Div. I, which is topped by the defending national champion Stanford Cardinal.

Stanford is a unanimous No. 1 with former Pac-12 rival USC starting in the No. 2 spot. NCAA runner-up UCLA will start third, with South Carolina and Texas tied for fourth.

In the wake of the latest round of college realignment, there are 10 SEC teams in the top 25. The breakdown:

  • SEC (10) – South Carolina, Texas, Auburn, Arkansas, Texas A&M, LSU, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Florida.
  • ACC (6) – Stanford, Wake Forest, Florida State, Duke, Clemson, Virginia.
  • Big Ten (5) – USC, UCLA, Oregon, Northwestern, Michigan State.
  • Big 12 (2) – Arizona State, Arizona.

Dallas Baptist opens the season atop the Division II rankings after receiving eight first-place votes, followed by Flagler College at No. 2 with three votes. Findlay received one first-place vote to claim the No. 3 spot, while West Texas A&M and Anderson come in at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.

Emory women’s golf remain in top spot in Div. III Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll

Emory University received all but two first-place votes to remain in the top spot.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association has released the latest Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll for Division III.

This is the third poll of the 2022 spring season.

Emory University received all but two first-place votes to remain in the top spot in the Division III rankings, while Carnegie Mellon University holds steady at No. 2. Methodist University received one first-place vote and moves up one spot to No. 3, while the University of Redlands and George Fox University remain in the top five.

Emory finished third out of 12 teams in their last competition, the BSC Panthers Classic in Birmingham, Alabama. They’ll next play in the NCAA Division III Championship in Houston, Texas, from May 10-13.

Emory women’s golf takes over top spot in Div. III Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association has released the latest Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll for Division III.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association has released the latest Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll for Division III. This is the second poll of the 2022 spring season.

Emory is the new No. 1 after receiving 11 first-place votes, replacing Carnegie Mellon, which got the remaining two first-place votes, in the top spot. University of Redlands jumps six spots to No. 3, while Methodist and George Fox round out the top five.

Emory won the 24-team Jekyll Island Collegiate in Jekyll Island, Georgia, earlier this week for its fifth tournament title of the season. Emory led by 33 strokes after 36 holes and went on to win by 29, setting the mark for largest margin of victory in program history. Three golfers finished in the top 10.

Emory next competes in the BSC Panthers Classic in Birmingham, Alabama, on April 11 and 12.

Carnegie Mellon is No. 1 in the first spring 2022 Mizuno WGCA Div. III Coaches Poll

Four teams received first-place votes in the first spring 2022 Mizuno WGCA Div. III Coaches Poll.

Carnegie Mellon is the top-ranked women’s golf team in the first spring 2022 Mizuno WGCA Div. III Coaches Poll released by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association.

Carnegie Mellon garnered eight first-place votes. Four other teams collected first-place votes in the poll, with No. 4 Williams College getting three of them. No. 2 Emory and No. 3 Methodist each received one first-place vote. George Fox rounds out the top-5.

The Tartans last competed in the 2021 Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational, where they finished third among the 20 teams in the field. Next up is the Savannah Invitational at The Club at Savannah Harbor in Savannah, Georgia, March 7-8.

The WGCA has released its third women’s coaches poll of the season and Carnegie Mellon remains No. 1 with eight first-place votes.

The WGCA has released its third women’s coaches poll of the season, and in Division III, Carnegie Mellon University remains No. 1 with eight first-place votes.

Behind Carnegie Mellon, Methodist University holds steady at No. 2 with one first-place vote. George Fox University received two first-place votes to remain at No. 3, while Centre College jumped three spots to No. 4 with one first-place vote. Williams College remains at No. 5 after receiving two first-place votes.

Carnegie Mellon takes over top spot in WGCA Division III Coaches Poll

In Division III, Carnegie Mellon claims the No. 1 spot with four first-place votes.

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced the results of the most recent WGCA Coaches Poll. This is the second poll of the 2021 fall season.

In Division III, Carnegie Mellon claims the No. 1 spot with four first-place votes, while Methodist trails closely behind after also receiving four-first place votes. George Fox received one first-place vote to remain at No. 3, while Emory jumped three spots to No. 4 with two-first place votes. Williams College remains at No. 5 after receiving one first-place vote.

About the Women’s Golf Coaches Association

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women’s collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 650 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.

In Division III, reigning NCAA champion Methodist University takes the No. 1 spot with nine first-place votes, followed by NCAA runner-up Carnegie Mellon University, who received two first-place votes.

George Fox University received one first-place vote to open the season at No. 3, with University of Redlands coming in at No. 4. Williams College rounds out the top five after receiving one first-place vote.

Guilford has ended the Illinois Wesleyan men’s golf team run as the top-ranked team in the Division III Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll.

Guilford has ended the Illinois Wesleyan men’s golf team run as the top-ranked team in the Division III Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll.

Illinois Wesleyan was ranked No. 1 for eight polls in a row but this time around, it’s Guilford’s turn at the top. The Greensboro, North Carolina, college won the Jekyll Island Collegiate on Sunday in Georgia, and saw James Mishoe take medalist honors in the event, his fifth collegiate title.

Methodist got four first-place votes and finds itself ranked second. Huntingdon, Emory and Illinois Wesleyan make up the rest of the top five.
