LSU’s 2025 class got even better on Saturday.

LSU’s already strong 2025 class got even better on Saturday.

The Tigers reeled in a commitment from four-star Robinson (Tampa) edge rusher [autotag]LaJesse Harrold[/autotag], the No. 100 player in the nation according to On3. The 6-foot-5, 207-pound prospect is also the No. 15 edge rusher nationally and the No. 14 recruit in the state of Florida.

Harrold’s commitment comes just a day after he was on campus for an official visit to Texas A&M. He officially visited LSU the prior weekend and Illinois the weekend before.

He’s the second high-profile recruit to commit to the Tigers in the last few days as No. 1 2025 interior offensive lineman [autotag]Carius Curne[/autotag] also joined the class.

LSU’s group of 13 commits now features eight top-100 prospects, headlined by five-star [autotag]Bryce Underwood[/autotag] and [autotag]Harlem Berry[/autotag].

LSU lands a commitment from top 2025 IOL Carius Curne

The Tigers added to their already strong 2025 class by landing one of the cycle’s best offensive linemen.

LSU’s star-studded 2025 recruiting class just picked up another fantastic piece.

On Thursday morning, four-star interior offensive lineman [autotag]Carius Curne[/autotag] committed to the Tigers over Arkansas and Missouri. The four-star Marion, Arkansas, product was on campus last weekend for an official visit with LSU, which was the heavy favorite to land the 6-foot-4, 320-pound recruit.

On3’s industry rankings have Curne as the No. 84 overall prospect and No. 5 IOL in the 2025 class, but On3’s own rankings have him as a top-25 recruit and the No. 1-ranked IOL. He is in position to potentially earn a fifth star from On3 when it expands its rankings to include 32 five-stars later in the cycle.

LSU’s 2025 class now features 12 commitments, seven of which rank inside the top 100 nationally. The Tigers’ group of commits remains the No. 2 overall class in the country according to On3.

Nation’s top interior offensive lineman, LSU target sets commitment date

The Tigers are trending for Carius Curne, who will commit on Thursday, after an official visit this past weekend.

LSU’s 2025 recruiting class is off to a red-hot start, and we’re now in the midst of the most important part of the recruiting calendar as each weekend in June has featured a number of high-profile official visitors.

This past weekend was headlined by a pair of players who rank at the top of their respective position groups. No. 1 safety [autotag]Jonah Williams[/autotag] was in attendance, and coach Jay Johnson’s baseball program stepped in to help recruit the two-sport star.

Also in town was [autotag]Carius Curne[/autotag], the top interior offensive lineman in the class. After his visit to Baton Rouge, Curne has set a commitment date for Thursday, June 20.

Curne, who hails from Marion, Arkansas, ranks No. 84 nationally and is the top player in Arkansas per On3’s industry rankings. Those have him as the No. 5 IOL, but On3’s own rankings are higher on him, placing him in the top 25 nationally as the top interior lineman in the nation.

The Tigers received three crystal balls from 247Sports to land Curne in March, and with a 93.9% chance to land him per the On3 recruiting prediction machine, they seem to be in good shape as we’re 72 hours out from his announcement.

Update: The original publication of this story indicated Curne would commit on Wednesday. He has set his commitment date to Thursday.

A big 2025 recruit de-commits from Arkansas

This is one you cannot lose if you’re Coach Sam Pittman.

This is NOT someone coach Sam Pittman wants to leave the state.

Arkansas had its first de-commitment of the 2025 class on Monday afternoon.

Consensus four-star offensive tackle Caruis Curne posted on X (Twitter) his decision to de-commit from the University of Arkansas. According to the 247Sports composite, Curne had a .945 rating.

Curne wrote in his post,

I have decided to de-commit from the University of Arkansas. I have the utmost respect for the coaching staff and appreciate their hard work during my recruitment. I hope that everyone will respect my decision as I attempt to do what is best for me and my family.

The Marion, Ark. native was the highest-rated recruit in Arkansas’ 2025 class, and with the position desperate for some high school recruiting success, this de-commit is a huge blow to Coach Pittman’s already fragile standing in the program.

But on the other hand, Curne might decide to return home after all is said and done. It wouldn’t be the first time a big recruit has de-committed just to recommit later in the recruiting cycle.

In-state talents like Shamar Easter (class of 2023) and Braylon Russel (class of 2024) de-committed after being one of the first to announce in their respective classes, and both are currently in the middle of spring football for the Hogs.

With Curne’s departure, Arkansas’ 2025 class moves 41st in the nation per 247Sports. It’s left with only four total recruits in the classes.

The No. 1 high-school football player in Arkansas commits to Hogs

The best players from the Natural State had been slipping out the door lately. Carius Curne isn’t going anywhere.

One of the best high-school offensive linemen in the Class of 2025 calls the state of Arkansas home.

He will do so for a few more years, too.

Carius Curne, a four-star offensive tackle from Marion High, committed to the Arkansas football team on Wednesday. The Razorbacks earned his commitment over poewrhouses Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Florida, Tennessee and fellow SEC schools Missouri and Mississippi State. Basically everybody.

Most of the recruiting web sites have Curne listed as an offensive tackle. In theory, he could also play defensive tackle. Besides head coach Sam Pittman, offensive line coach Eric Mateos and defensive line coach Deke Adams recruited Curne to the Hogs.

Arkansas should return a lot of offensive line depth for the 2025 when Curne arrives, though if the unit struggles like they did in 2023, that may not matter. For 2024, the Razorbacks have 14 linemen on scholarship with only Ty’Kieast Crawford and Josh Braun seniors.

At 6-foot-4 and 301 pounds, Curne is the 175th-ranked player in the class and the top-ranked player from the state of Arkansas.

LSU offers top 15 IOL in the 2025 class

LSU is looking to seal the interior offensive line for the future.

LSU is looking to seal the interior offensive line for the future and they may have found just the player to do that in Arkansas. The recruiting staff headed to Marion, Arkansas, to extend an offer to a big three-star lineman.

[autotag]Carius Curne[/autotag] is a 6-foot-5, 300-pound, three-star interior offensive lineman in the 2025 recruiting class. He is ranked as high as the No. 15 IOL in the country by Rivals. Curne is from Marion, Arkansas, where he plays for Marion High School. The Marion Patriots are currently 8-3 this season as they enter the playoffs.

There are no Crystal Ball projections for Curne at this time but Ole Miss is a 47% favorite to land him per On3.
