Marquise Brown, Antonio Hamilton, Kelvin Beachum active for Cardinals

Many of the Cardinals starters questionable for the game will suit up and play against the Buccaneers.

The Arizona Cardinals entered the weekend with a number of players questionable to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because of injuries. They mostly will suit up and start Sunday night.

The Cardinals released their list of inactive players and receiver Marquise Brown, cornerback Antonio Hamilton and right tackle Kelvin Beachum, all of whom were questionable to play after being limited to some extent during the week of practice, are all active and will play.

Brown was dealing with a groin injury, Hamilton missed a game with a back injury and Beachum suffered knee and ankle injuries last week. Beachum is the only offensive starter who has not missed a game this season. Also active is guard Max Garcia, who was dealing with a shoulder injury.

OL Will Hernandez designated to return from IR

Hernandez, Arizona’s starting right guard, missed five weeks and four games with a strained pectoral.

The Arizona Cardinals could be getting a starting offensive lineman back this week. Starting right guard Will Hernandez, on injured reserve for the last five weeks with a strained pec, was designated to return from injured reserve, allowing him to return to practice.

The team has 21 days to reinstate him to the active roster or he reverts to IR for the rest of the season.

Hernandez missed four games and could possibly return to the lineup this weekend when the Cardinals face the Denver Broncos on the road this weekend.

Hernandez was playing quite well this season before he was injured. His return would be big for quarterback Colt McCoy, who was sacked six times in the Cardinals’ Monday night loss to the New England Patriots.

DL Zach Allen to miss Week 15 game vs. Broncos with hand injury

Zach Allen will miss at least one game with a hand injury.

The Arizona Cardinals have lost starting quarterback Kyler Murray for the remainder of the season. He wasn’t the only starter to go down in the game.

Defensive lineman Zach Allen left the game with a hand injury.

He might not be done for the season, but he is expected to miss the Cardinals’ next game.

“Doesn’t look like he will be able to go this week,” coach Kliff Kingsbury told reporters Tuesday, noting that he didn’t know to what extent the hand was injured.

Allen was seen on the sideline with street clothes on and a cast on the hand.

One would presume that it is a break or a fracture of some sort.

Allen has been one of the most productive interior defensive linemen this season.

His presence will be missed this week when the Cardinals travel to take on the Denver Broncos in Week 15.

Zach Allen set to play vs. Patriots despite being questionable

Allen was officially questionable for the game with an illness that kept him from practicing on Saturday.

Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman Zach Allen is set to play Monday night. He missed practice on Saturday and was listed on the team’s final injury report as questionable for the game with an illness.

However, he is expected to suit up and play.

According to The Score’s Jordan Schultz, Allen will play.

Allen has had his best season as a pro and has stayed healthy.

He has 45 total tackles, a career-high 4.5 sacks, nine tackles for loss, 18 quarterback hits and 7 pass breakups.

He has started all 12 games this season.

The Cardinals and Patriots kick off at 6:15 p.m. Arizona time Monday night to wrap up the Week 14 schedule.

Chargers 25, Cardinals 24: Full highlights in disappointing Week 12 loss

Catch all the big plays that happened in the Cardinals’ 25-24 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.

The Arizona Cardinals looked like they were going to pick up a win at home over the Los Angeles Chargers. They outplayed them most of the game. They were in position to put the game away. They ran the ball well.

However, they failed to execute in the final quarter and the Chargers put together a comeback for a 25-24 win.

Justin Herbert’s third touchdown pass of the day went to Austin Ekeler from one yard out with 15 seconds left in game to make it 24-23 Cardinals.

Instead of electing to tie the game with an extra point, they went for two and got it to give them a 25-24 comeback win.

There were plenty of highlights from both teams.

Rondale Moore injures groin in 1st quarter, questionable to return

He left the game having only gotten a single rushing attempt that lost six yards.

The Arizona Cardinals suffered an injury early in the game. Wide receiver Rondale Moore, who has been the team’s No. 2 option in the passing game since the return of DeAndre Hopkins, exited the game after only one play.

He opened the game with a rush that lost six yards. After the play, he was seen moving his leg.

It was a groin injury. The team announced his return was questionable.

Greg Dortch replaced him in the game.

The Cardinals led the Cardinals 3-0 in the first quarter when Moore left the game.

DC Vance Joseph likes new defensive players on team

Joseph gave some initial thoughts about linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill and defensive lineman Trysten Hill.

The Arizona Cardinals added two defensive players this week, acquiring former Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Trysten Hill on a waiver claim and signing former Houston Texans linebacker Kamu Gurgier-Hill.

Defensive coordinator Vance Joseph likes both players and spoke about what they have to offer when he spoke with reporters on Thursday.

Grugier-Hill will be on special teams to start.

“Right now he’s covering kicks,” he said. “Obviously, he’s going to be a backup for us.”

But Joseph likes what he has to offer.

“He’s played a bunch of football, especially on third down. So we’ll see, moving forward, how he fits, but he’s definitely engaged. He’s intelligent. He’s played good ball in the past and he wanted to be here.

“He’s a good fit for us.”

Joseph didn’t have an idea yet about how Hill would fit, as he had only just arrived only hours before Thursday’s practice.

But he said that Hill was a player they like talent-wise and he also gives them needed depth on the defensive line.

“The player on tape was good for us,” Joseph said. “We inquired about him and couldn’t get it done. But to have him is a good thing for us. He’s a guy that is quick. He plays the nose and the shade and can rush the passer.

“He is eager to play and his tape is good.”

Budda Baker, D.J. Humphries miss 2nd straight practice for Cardinals

The Cardinals had five players out and five limited on Thursday’s injury report.

The Arizona Cardinals held a walkthrough on Wednesday instead of a full practice but were back on the practice field Thursday preparing for their Week 9 home game against the Seattle Seahawks. They released their second injury report of the week.

It had no changes from their first report of the week.

Five players were non-participants for the second day in a row and the same five guys were limited Thursday as were on Wednesday.

Cardinals sign former Texans LB Kamu Grugier-Hill

With his addition, the Cardinals now have six inside linebackers on the roster.

The Arizona Cardinals announced a roster move to bolster their linebacking corps. They signed former Houston Texans linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill on Wednesday.

Grugier-Hill is in his seventh NFL season and was recently released by Houston. A sixth-round pick of the New England Patriots in 2016, he didn’t make New England’s roster but was picked up by the Philadelphia Eagles and played four seasons for them, followed by one with the Miami Dolphins and then last season and this season with Houston.

His best season was 2021 for Houston. The 6-2, 230-lb linebacker had 108 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, three sacks, five quarterback hits, two forced fumbles, an interceptions and three pass breakups in 14 games, all starts.

His addition is interesting because the Cardinals are not short on depth at linebacker. Even with Nick Vigil currently on injured reserve, the Cardinals have Zaven Collins, Isaiah Simmons, Ben Niemann, Tanner Vallejo and Zeke Turner. All remain on the roster.

He has not played much on special teams the last two seasons but did for his first five.

To make room for Grugier-Hill on the active roster, the team waived kicker Rodrigo Blankenship with an injury settlement.
