WATCH: Cardinals rookie TE Trey McBride stumbles to 1st career TD

His four-yard touchdown catch gave the Cardinals a 10-7 lead on Sunday.

Arizona Cardinals rookie tight end Trey McBride scored his first NFL touchdown Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 17. It wasn’t pretty, though.

In  the second quarter after the Falcons lost the ball on a fumbled snap and the Cardinals recovered inside the 10-yard line and running back James Conner had a four-yard run, McBride scored on a four-yard touchdown pass from David Blough.

Blough ran a boot to his right, McBride faked a block and found space in the flat. Blough threw him the ball, McBride made the catch and stumbled and fell to the ground but slid forward into the end zone without being touched.

Here is the play:

It was his third catch of the game and gave the Cardinals a 10-7 lead.

It should be the first of many touchdowns for the second-round pick.

Cardinals sign WR Andre Baccellia from practice squad, elevate 2 others

[mm-video type=playlist id=01eqbw7fa4ahbvdd03 player_id=01eqbvhghtkmz2182d image=]
The Arizona Cardinals made some final roster moves Saturday afternoon for their Week 17 game on the road against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

They added three players to the roster to address injuries.

One thing they did not do was place safety Budda Baker on injured reserve despite his having a fractured shoulder that ends his season.

They signed receiver Andre Baccellia to the roster from the practice squad and elevated both long snapper Hunter Bradley and safety Josh Thomas.

Baccellia will add a receiver with DeAndre Hopkins out. It appears the receiving depth chart will be Marquise Brown, A.J. Green, Greg Dortch and Robbie Anderson. Pharoh Cooper will return kicks and punts, while Baccellia will offer depth if needed.

Bradley’s elevation was a give as he is the only long snapper on the team after Aaron Brewer landed on injured reserve.

Thomas is elevated for the first time. He will likely play on special teams. With Baker injured, Chris Banjo will likely start with Jalen Thompson, while Isaiah Simmons should get playing time as well. Thomas and Charles Washington will play on special teams.

DeAndre Hopkins downgraded to out, will not play vs. Falcons

He will miss his first game since returning from his six-game suspension.

The Arizona Cardinals made a change to their final injury report Saturday before they traveled to Georgia to take on the Atlanta Falcons Sunday.

Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was originally listed as questionable for the game after missing practice Friday with a knee issue. On Saturday, when the team was set to reevaluate him and see how he feels, he was downgraded to out.

He will miss his first game since returning from his six-game suspension to start the season.

Facing the 5-10 Falcons, the Cardinals will have quarterback David Blough starting, the fourth quarterback to start for them in as many games. They don’t have Hopkins, Zach Ertz, at least 3 of their starting offensive linemen, Budda Baker, Zach Allen, Byron Murphy, Antonio Hamilton and maybe Marco Wilson.
