The Minnesota Vikings’ injury luck has been a roller coaster over the last few weeks and things got even weirder on Saturday. Center Garrett Bradbury told reporters that he was involved in a minor car crash after the game on Saturday.
Thankfully, all parties ended up being okay afterward, but it tighten up Bradbury’s back afterward, an injury that has caused him to miss the last two games.
According to The Pioneer Press’ Chris Tomasson, the accident wasn’t Bradbury’s fault, which hopefully means that it was just a fender bender.
The Vikings started Austin Schlottmann in his place the last two weeks but with Leonard Williams and Dexter Lawrence coming up this week, they could use Bradbury back on Christmas Eve.
Garrett Bradbury said he was in a minor traffic accident after Saturday game but said he is generally fine although his back injury tightened up a little Accident he said not his fault
Investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board made a shocking announcement on Thursday.
After originally releasing that a 13-year-old boy was driving a pickup truck responsible for a Texas crash that killed six University of Southwest golfers and the coach back in March, investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board made a shocking announcement on Thursday — that the boy’s 38-year-old father was driving the truck and he had methamphetamine in his system.
According to an Associated Press story Thursday, the NTSB said that DNA testing confirmed that the father, Henrich Siemens, was driving and that toxicological testing showed the presence of methamphetamine in Siemens’ blood.
The van was carrying school’s team back from a golf tournament. The University of the Southwest is a private Christian university located in Hobbs, New Mexico. Teams were competing at the TankLogix Collegiate at Ranchland Hills Golf Club in Midland, Texas.
Head coach Tyler James, 26, was among those killed. The students who died were identified as: Mauricio Sanchez, 19, of Mexico; Travis Garcia, 19, of Pleasanton, Texas; Jackson Zinn, 22, of Westminster, Colorado; Karisa Raines, 21, of Fort Stockton, Texas; Laci Stone, 18, of Nocona, Texas; and Tiago Sousa, 18, of Portugal. Hayden Underhill, 20, and Dayton Price, 19, remain in the hospital.
Siemens and his son died in the crash, as well.
According to the Associated Press:
The collision happened at about 8:17 p.m. in Andrews County, which is roughly 30 miles (50 kilometers) east of Texas’ border with New Mexico. Although it’s a rural area, the roads there are often busy with traffic related to agriculture and oil and gas development.
In the days after the crash, the NTSB had said that the truck’s left front tire blew before impact. But it said Thursday that so far, investigators haven’t found evidence of a loss in tire pressure or any other indicators that the tire failed.
The NTSB said the road they were traveling on consisted of a northbound lane and southbound lane. Near the crash site, the roadway was straight but there was no highway lighting.
The crash is still being investigated to determine the probable case of the crash, the NTSB said.

The reportedly “minor” car crash that sent Jerry Jones to the hospital this week did not leave the Cowboys owner with any notable injuries. Video of the accident, though, is somewhat scary to watch and makes it appear that the 79-year-old may have been extremely lucky in that regard.
The accident occurred Wednesday evening at an Uptown intersection just over 20 miles from The Star in Frisco. TMZ Sports obtained dashboard-cam footage from motorist Allen Roberson Jr., who was sitting in a nearby vehicle but was not otherwise involved in the crash.
The video shows a silver sedan turning from Harry Hines Boulevard, a one-way road with multiple lanes, onto an adjacent two-way street. As the sedan attempts to make a left turn from one of the center lanes of traffic, a dark-colored car- moving in the same direction, in an outer lane further to the left- enters the same intersection at a higher rate of speed. The dark car attempts to brake but hits the silver sedan, making violent impact with the driver’s side door.

Jones was in the dark-colored car. It is not known, however, if he was driving.
The video goes on to show Jones walking around with a slight limp after the crash. At one point, he pulls up his pant leg to examine his knee or lower leg; an occupant of the silver sedan “appeared to be complaining of some kind of head pain,” according to TMZ.
The Cowboys owner can then be seen talking with emergency medical personnel on the scene after the crash.
Jones was taken to Parkland Hospital, but was released shortly thereafter. Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones confirmed Wednesday night that his father was “all good.”

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was released from a Dallas area hospital after a minor car accident Wednesday evening. He returned home, according to reports, with team executive vice president Stephen Jones offering a brief confirmation that the injuries sustained by his father in the crash were not serious.
The crash happened about 8 p.m. near Harry Hines Boulevard and Wolf Street. Jones was taken to Parkland Hospital, about two miles away, “as a precautionary measure.”
He was reportedly released shortly thereafter.
Sources say Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been released from the hospital & is home resting comfortably.
Jones was checked into Parkland hospital tonight after a minor accident, but that was done at the insistence of police, per sources.
The exact nature of the accident has not been made public, although the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that two vehicles were involved, as per Dallas police.
Whether the 79-year-old Jones was behind the wheel is not yet known.

“USW is a tight-knit family,” athletic director Steve Appel said in a statement, “and I am confident we will work together to get through this. We have amazing students here, and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else to get through something like this.”
Former Alabama WR suffered non-life threatening injuries, will be charged with DUI resulting in death
Former Alabama star wide receiver Henry Ruggs III was a speedy fan-favorite while with the Crimson Tide. He was on the team alongside three other first-round receivers: Jerry Jeudy, DeVonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle.
Ruggs was drafted No. 12 overall in the 2020 NFL draft by the Las Vegas Raiders and has been a consistent starter for the team.
Today, it was first reported by TMZ that Ruggs was potentially involved in a bad car accident. The Las Vegas Metro Police department has since released a statement confirming his involvement, adding that he will be charged.
The crash took place early in the morning and involved a Chevrolet Corvette, driven by Ruggs, and a Toyota Rav4.
Metro police have identified Ruggs as the driver of the vehicle that caused the crash, resulting in the death of one. He did not flee the scene, but showed signs of impairment.
He is reportedly being treated at a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Ruggs will be charged with a DUI resulting in death.

Former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Tarvaris Jackson passed away in a car accident in Alabama on Sunday evening, according to a report from NFL Insider Ian Rapoport. He was 36 years old.
Former #Seahawks QB Tarvaris Jackson died last night in a car accident in Alabama, a spokesperson for his employer Tennessee State tells me. Jackson, 36, was TSU’s QB coach. Along with Seattle, he also played for the #Vikings and #Bills.
Jackson was the quarterback’s coach at Tennessee State University at the time of his passing, having completed his NFL career in 2015.
Originally a second round pick by the Vikings in 2006, Jackson spent five years in Minnesota, starting 20 games.
He joined the Seahawks in 2011 and had his best NFL season, starting 14 games and throwing for 3,091 yards and 14 touchdowns, playing part of the season with a torn pec.
He was Seattle’s last starting quarterback before Russell Wilson came along, and after spending one year in Buffalo he was Wilson’s backup from 2013-2015, earning a Super Bowl ring and completing 15 passes for 188 yards in those three seasons.
Jackson began coaching in 2018, taking over as the quality control coach at his alma mater, Alabama State, before transitioning to the job of quarterback’s coach at Tennessee State last year.
Our thoughts are with the Jackson family at this time.
