Michigan State was featured in Cameron Upshaw’s top schools list

Michigan State football has been featured in another top prospect’s top schools list, this time in the form of Florida safety Cameron Upshaw Jr.

Upshaw, a native of Perry, Florida, and attending Taylor County High School, is a highly sought-after prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. He narrowed down his top school’s list to 14, and the Spartans made the cut.

Michigan State is featured alongside South Carolina, Penn State, West Virginia, Maryland, Iowa, Virginia, Florida State, Nebraska, Louisville, Mississippi State and Arkansas.

Michigan State football has extended a scholarship offer to 2023 safety prospect Cameron Upshaw of Havana, Fla.

Michigan State football has extended a scholarship offer to 2023 safety prospect Cameron Upshaw of Havana, Fla.

Upshaw announced the scholarship offer from the Spartans via Twitter on Thursday. Upshaw is ranked as the No. 60 safety and No. 670 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2023 class.

With the offer from Michigan State, Upshaw now holds scholarships from more than 20 schools. His list of schools showing interest includes Michigan State, South Carolina, Arkansas, Florida State, Iowa, Indiana, Louisville, Mississippi State, Nebraska and Penn State.
