Boozer twins will visit Florida basketball in November

The twin sons of Carlos Boozer will return to Gainesville for an official visit in November.

A pair of highly sought-after 2025 prospects announced they’ll visit the University of Florida this fall.

The Boozer twins, Cameron and Cayden, will follow up on an unofficial visit from last season and be on campus the weekend of Nov. 4 and plan to attend the matchup with the Gators and Arkansas Razorbacks on Jan. 13.

Cayden Boozer is especially excited to revisit Gainesville.

“I loved the fans, I loved the atmosphere, the team, and the coaching,” Boozer said. “It was a good experience for us.”

Landing both recruits would be a big get for head coach Todd Golden and the Florida basketball squad, but the prospects stated before they are willing to go their separate ways in college.

“We definitely could be a package deal, we also could go somewhere different,” Cameron Boozer said. “At the end of the day, we’ve got to go somewhere that’s best for us.”

“It would be awesome if we could go to the same school at the same time, but one school might be the best situation for him and it might not be for me.”

The Boozer twins are the sons of former NBA star Carlos Boozer, who played in the league for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, Utah Jazz and the Chicago Bulls.

According to 247Sports, Cameron Boozer is the consensus No. 1 recruit in the nation with a five-star rating and receives comparisons to Orlando Magic forward and NBA first-round pick Paolo Banchero.

Cayden Boozer, however, is a four-star recruit and nationally ranked No. 17 and is the No. 3 overall point guard.

Cameron Boozer says his twin brother is the best point guard in the nation.

“(Cayden) is a very underrated player and gets overlooked a lot because I am his brother,” Cameron said. “The way he pushes the tempo and controls the pace of the game, the way he attacks the rim and finishes, how crafty he is, his skill and feel for the game is rare and I feel like he should be talked about way more.”

The Florida Gators basketball season is still a couple of months away. The first tipoff against Loyola is set for Nov. 6.

Top prospects Cooper Flagg, Cameron Boozer face off at Peach Jam

Cooper Flagg and Cameron Boozer faced off at Nike Peach Jam for a battle of the top two 2025 prospects, with Flagg getting the upper hand.

Scouts from a dozen NBA teams packed the Riverview Park Activities Center on Wednesday as the top two prospects in the class of 2025, Cameron Boozer and Cooper Flagg, faced off in the Nike Peach Jam.

Boozer is the No. 1 recruit in the class, but Flagg has been fighting to get the better of him and leapfrog the Columbus (Miami, Fla.) power forward in the rankings. Flagg took home MVP honors in a head-to-head matchup last week at the NBPA Top 100 Camp.

Flagg, a power forward at Montverde Academy (Fla.), looked to bounce back offensively after scoring just seven points on Monday afternoon — a game he impacted on the defensive end more than the offensive, recording 10 blocks.

Boozer, who helped his team win the Peach Jam title last year alongside his twin brother Cayden Boozer, recorded 16 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and five blocks in the Peach Jam opener.

Flagg and his own twin brother, Ace, led Maine United to the win over the Boozers’ Nightrydas on Tuesday with a margin of 73-65. Cooper had 21 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and two blocks, while Ace had 22 points and 11 rebounds.

Cameron had 22 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks, while Cayden, a four-star point guard, recorded 11 points and five assists.

Bronny James, Bryce James to face top NBA draft prospects Ausar, Amen Thompson in dream game for scouts

This is a big test for Bronny James.

After an eventful summer of collegiate recruitment, the next test for Bronny James on his road to the NBA will come in a game against Overtime Elite.

Bronny and his younger brother Bryce, who recently received his first collegiate offer, are set to suit up for the California Basketball Club for a preseason tournament at OTE Arena in Atlanta.

They will face the City Reapers, led by twins Ausar Thompson and Amen Thompson, at 8:00 p.m. on Oct. 20. Ausar and Amen are both projected top-10 picks in the 2023 NBA Draft.

While this matchup is a big opportunity for James to showcase what he can against NBA-bound talent in the Thompson twins, it’s not the only big game that this tournament offers.

Miami’s Columbus High School Explorers, featuring Class of 2025 No. 1 overall recruit Cam Boozer, will play against YNG Dreamerz on Oct. 20 and Cold Hearts on Oct. 21. The top recruit is the son of two-time NBA All-Star big man Carlos Boozer.

After the preseason games, the OTE League season begins on Nov. 4.
