2021 LSU Tigers transfer portal tracker

The growing list of LSU players to test the transfer portal.

It should come as no shock to anyone to see players leaving in the transfer portal. Given the new rules with the one-time transfer waiver allowing immediate eligibility, it can be advantageous. Especially with the unknown for the LSU Tigers as they continue their search for the next head coach.

Players need structure and need to know where they fit in the future of the team. The only problem is a lot of these players get lost in the shuffle with the number of names already in the portal, it is busting at the seams with talent.

Welcome to college football free agency. We have compiled a list of players that have decided to leave Baton Rouge following the announcement of Eli Ricks to the portal.

LSU linebacker Bugg Strong enters the transfer portal

Another hit for the LSU football program.

More bad news for the LSU Tigers, according to reports linebacker Navonteque “Bugg” Strong has entered the transfer portal.

This season Strong has played in five games with 17 total tackles, 1.5 TFLs, and one sack. He has been lost in the shuffle at linebacker along with Mike Jones Jr due to the outstanding play of Damone Clark and Micah Baskerville.

Strong joined the team as the No. 1 JUCO linebacker in the 2021 recruiting class. The Mississippi product will now look to leave the program after less than one full season with the Tigers. Given how the season has gone and with Ed Orgeron on his way out, he likely won’t be the last. Billy Embody of Geaux247 was first to report the news.

The news of Orgeron’s departure has already seen a ripple effect of sorts. Aaron Anderson of Edna Karr already decommitted and Koy Moore entered the portal as well.
