Bucs Week 12 Thursday Injury Report: Three key defensive players remain out

There’s still one more day of practice left, but things aren’t looking good for both of Tampa Bay’s starting linebackers.

The Bucs could be in big trouble at the second level of the defense come Sunday.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released their injury report for Thursday, and three key defensive players — Linebackers Lavonte David and Devin White and cornerback Jamel Dean all did not participate in practice. If David and White can’t go, both of Tampa Bay’s starting linebackers would be out, paving the way for SirVocea Dennis and K.J. Britt to start alongside each other on Sunday. The secondary takes a hit with Dean out, too, and corner Carlton Davis has only been a limited participant in his first two days of practice this week.

Here’s what the injury report looks like for Thursday:

Colts’ three non-participants from Wednesday remain non-participants, but safety Rodney Thomas II and center Ryan Kelly became full participants Thursday.

Bucs Week 12 Thursday Injury Report: Defense banged up significantly on first day

Wednesday was just a walkthrough practice, but if the injury report is anything to go by, Tampa Bay’s defense could be hurt going into Week 12.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could be in trouble defensively when they go to play Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.

The team had its first practice for Week 12, which was simply a walkthrough without pads, helmets, and jerseys — the team mostly wore t-shirts and didn’t do much in the allotted media time. As such, this report is an estimation, but it’s a grim one nonetheless. Linebacker Lavonte David, cornerback Jamel Dean and LB Devin White were all listed as non-participants, while cornerback Carlton Davis, wideout Chris Godwin and center Robert Hainsey were limited participants. If those three defensive players weren’t able to play, Tampa Bay’s defensive unit would be crippled significantly heading into the weekend.

Here’s what the first Week 12 injury report looks like:

Meanwhile, the Colts are having problems of their own. The team doesn’t have a lot of players on the injury report, but CB Juju Brents, tight end Drew Ogletree and linebacker Grant Stuard all did not participate in Colts practice on Wednesday.

Final Week 11 Injury Report: Only one player ruled out for Sunday

The Bucs are very healthy heading into San Francisco — something they weren’t last year when they played the 49ers.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be a whole lot healthier than they were the last time they faced off against the San Francisco 49ers in 2022.

Only one player is confirmed to be out — that’s safety Ryan Neal, who has been dealing with a thumb injury and wasn’t able to participate in practice. Four players are questionable, but all of them were full participants in Friday’s practice and thus should almost certainly play in Sunday’s game in Santa Clara.

Here’s what the final injury report for the Bucs looks like:

The 49ers are also fairly healthy, with only two players listed as out for Sunday in guard Aaron Banks and guard Nick Zakelj. Three other players are questionable but, like the Bucs, were all full participants in practice.

Bucs Week 11 Thursday Injury Report: Health improves during second practice

Only one player did not participate in Thursday’s practice.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are getting healthier as their showdown with the San Francisco 49ers draws closer.

Safety Ryan Neal remains the only Buccaneer who isn’t practicing, so his availability for the team’s game against San Francisco remains in doubt. Everyone else who didn’t practice on Wednesday did practice on Thursday, with offensive tackle Luke Goedeke (foot) and linebacker Devin White (foot) both returning to practice on Thursday.

Here is what the full injury report looks like:

As of time of writing, the 49ers are not done practicing due to West Coast timing. On Wednesday, San Francisco had three players who did not practice and two limited participants.

Bucs Week 11 Wednesday Injury Report: Three players out for first practice

There are a few players to monitor in practice this week before the team heads out west to play the 49ers.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have three players who did not participate in practice, but it isn’t as bad as it looks from the outside.

The Bucs are set to face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, and there are a few teams to monitor before the team flies out west. Luke Goedeke didn’t practice with a foot injury, but according to FOX Sports’ Greg Auman, it was just a rest day for Goedeke and he will likely play against the 49ers. Safety Ryan Neal did not participate and had a wrap on his hand, which correlates to his thumb injury, and Devin White was listed with a foot injury as well and did not participate. Mike Evans, suffering from a quad injury, was a limited participant, and Josh Hayes is still recovering from a concussion.

Here’s what the Wednesday injury report looks like in full:

The 49ers were still practicing at the time of the report, so they likely won’t be included on the official reports given to the media by Tampa Bay. San Francisco had three players out in practice, with one being tackle Trent Williams — this was likely precautionary, though, as he was listed as resting on the team’s injury report.

Bucs Wednesday Week 10 Injury Report: Four players held out

Matt Feiler and Logan Hall, two players that were out in Week 9 against the Texans, returned to practice.

Four players did not participate in Wednesday’s practice.

Carlton Davis was held out with a toe injury, but he was available to reporters and it sounded as if he was going to play on Sunday. Cornerback Jamel Dean suffered a concussion against the Houston Texans and will thus have to clear concussion protocol before he is able to play again. CB and special-teamer Josh Hayes was also out due to a concussion, while wideout and kick returner Deven Thompkins did not practice due to a personal matter.

Everyone else listed on the report was a limited participant, including defensive tackle Logan Hall and offensive lineman Matt Feiler, who did not play in Week 9.

Here’s what the full injury report looks like:

The Tennessee Titans have quite a few players on their injury report, and five players did not participate. Among them are wideout Treylon Burks, who suffered a bad concussion on Thursday Night Football against the Steelers, and former Bucs CB Sean Murphy-Bunting, who is dealing with a thumb injury.

Final Week 9 Injury Report: Two Bucs players ruled out

The Bucs are mostly healthy, but the Texans will be missing one of their key playmakers.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be in good shape when they face off against the Houston Texans in Week 9.

Both guard [autotag]Matt Feiler[/autotag] and defensive tackle [autotag]Logan Hall[/autotag] will be out for Sunday’s game, and three other players — cornerback Christian Izien (illness), safety Kaevon Merriweather (ankle) and nose tackle Vita Vea (groin) are questionable, but only Izien didn’t participate on Friday. As it stands, the Bucs are mostly healthy.

Here is what the Week 9 injury report for both teams looks like:

On the Texans side, wideout Robert Woods (foot) and tight end Brevin Jordan (foot) are both out, and a third player who won’t make Sunday’s game is one of Houston’s biggest. Running back Dameon Pierce is dealing with an ankle injury, and he won’t play — a huge boon for the Bucs. Houston’s offense will have to make do with a subdued rushing attack when the game comes around.

Bucs Week 8 Final Injury Report: Two players out, three questionable

Here’s the Bucs’ final injury report after Wednesday’s walkthrough practice:

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had two weeks with virtually no players out, but fortune like that doesn’t last long in the NFL.

The Bucs will have two players out when they face off against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday. Guard Matt Feiler is out with a knee injury and is set to be replaced by Aaron Stinnie, while special teams player and safety Kaevon Merriweather is out with an ankle injury. Quarterback Baker Mayfield (knee), wideout Chris Godwin (neck) and defensive tackle Vita Vea (groin) are listed as questionable, but Mayfield and Godwin are almost certainly playing — Vea, who has missed three straight practices, is probably doubtful to play given his lack of participation.

Here is Tampa Bay’s full injury report. As a reminder, all three practices were walkthroughs and designations are just an estimation:

On Buffalo’s side, tight ends Dawson Knox (wrist) and Quintin Morris (ankle) are out, so it will be Dalton Kincaid as Buffalo’s TE1. Linebacker Baylon Spector is out with a hamstring injury and defensive tackle Ed Oliver is questionable with a toe injury.

Bucs Week 8 Tuesday Injury Report: Vita Vea, Matt Feiler listed as non-participants

The Bucs conducted another walkthrough on Tuesday, so designations on this injury report are once again estimations.

It’s a short week for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and it could mean that some of their starting players will be out for Thursday night against the Buffalo Bills.

The Bucs released another injury report Tuesday, but it should be noted that the team conducted a walkthrough practice — this means that any player’s status is an estimation, as the team didn’t truly practice. That being said, Bucs defensive tackle Vita Vea was once again listed as a non-participant with a groin injury, which leaves his status for Thursday in doubt. Bucs guard Matt Feiler is dealing with a knee injury and is unlikely to play on Thursday, paving the way for either Aaron Stinnie or Nick Leverett to take his place.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield told reporters Tuesday that his knee injury is simply a pain tolerance issue moving forward and that he’s fine to play. He was listed as a limited participant in practice.

Here’s what Tampa Bay’s injury report looks like for Tuesday:

On Buffalo’s side, tight ends Dawson Knox and Quintin Morris and linebacker Baylor Spector were the only players listed as non-participants. Knox is set to have surgery on his wrist which will keep him out for quite some time.

Texans-Bucs Injury Report (Dec. 19): See who’s in and who’s out for Week 16

See the latest injury report for the Houston Texans and Tampa Bay Buccaneers ahead of Saturday’s Week 16 matchup.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers head into Week 16’s matchup against the Houston Texans as home underdogs. But, the Texans, who are still looking to clinch a playoff spot, shouldn’t underestimate this Bucs team.

Tampa Bay is riding a four-game winning-streak into Saturday’s game on NFL Network, and they’d love nothing more than to upset the Texans on a national stage.

Quarterback Jameis Winston has had back-to-back games of 450-plus yards, and is now on pace to throw the fourth-most yards in a season in NFL history (5,226). But, with wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin out for the remainder of the season, he’ll have to rely on some reserves to help him get there.

With that, here is the latest injury report for both teams ahead of Saturday.
