Five stars from Tampa Bay’s 30-12 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars

No duds this week — see who shined in the Bucs’ dominant Christmas Eve win:

It’s the most wonderful time of the year — it has been for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, anyway.

The team hasn’t lost in December yet, extending its winning streak to four after decimating the Jacksonville Jaguars 30-12. We usually do a studs and duds article highlighting both the good and bad players during a Bucs game, but the Bucs were in control of this one pretty much the whole way through and there weren’t really any duds to speak of. As such, we compiled five stars for the game, as there were a number of players who stuck out in Tampa Bay’s indomitable Christmas Eve performance.

Check out who we thought played particularly well in Sunday’s game below:

Bucs Report Card: How we graded Tampa Bay’s win over Green Bay in Week 15

There was plenty to love from the Bucs’ win over the Packers in the Frozen Tundra.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on a winning streak, and it came at just the right time.

The Bucs have won three games in a row, with the latest being a dominant showing against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. The Bucs moved to 7-7 in one of their best games all year, controlling the pace of the matchup and finding the end zone often in the statement victory. The team faces some upcoming trials that will determine if it makes the playoffs or not, and if it plays like this more often than not, that will certainly come.

Here are Bucs Wire’s grades for the offense, defense, special team and coaching from Sunday’s win:

Studs and Duds from Tampa Bay’s big win over Green Bay

The Bucs won the Battle of the Bays and there were plenty of commendations to go around.

The Battle of the Bays goes back to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The team lost it last year in Tampa Bay, but it won it this year at Lambeau Field in December in dominant fashion. The Bucs beat the Green Bay Packers 34-20 on Sunday, moving to 7-7 on the season and continuing to lead the NFC South in what was a big game for the team’s playoff race. The offense excelled with four touchdowns, and while the defense somewhat struggled, they did a decent job of keeping the Packers out of the end zone.

There was far more praise to spread than negativity this week, but we still have our Studs and Duds of the game as always. Here’s who we thought was hot and who we thought was not in the team’s Week 15 matchup:

Bucs Report Card: How we graded Tampa Bay’s win over Atlanta in Week 14

The Bucs scored the second-most points they have all year and beat an NFC South opponent to take first place in the division — despite all that, there were still plenty of problems with their win against Atlanta.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers won their game against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 14 and took first place in the NFC South with the second-most points they’ve scored in a football game all year. That sounds good, right?

The truth is a bit more complicated. It was an overall rough day for the Buccaneers, as they gave up numerous yards on defense and struggled to move the ball for the majority of the game. They won despite all that (with some help from the Falcons), but they didn’t seem to be firing on any of their cylinders at the same time for the majority of the performance and will likely need to be better going forward to stay atop the divisional mountain.

Bucs Report Card: How we graded Tampa Bay’s loss to Indianapolis in Week 12

The Bucs continue to be entirely unable to put together a complete game in all four quarters.

Light is fading fast for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after another rough loss in Week 12.

The Bucs dropped their game against the Indianapolis Colts 27-20 on Sunday, and it was a game marred with the very same issues that have largely plagued it for the entire year. The team can’t bring together every aspect to play a complete four quarters, and it’s a huge reason why it’s 4-7 and has won just a single game in its last seven tries.

Bucs Wire staff picks for Week 12 against the Colts

Our staff feels confident in Tampa Bay’s chances this Sunday against the Colts.

It may be an AFC team, but that doesn’t make the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday any less important.

The Bucs remain in the thick of the NFC South race (somehow), back just one game from the first place New Orleans Saints and tied with the Atlanta Falcons at 4-6. The Indianapolis Colts, too, still have meaningful football to play for, just two games back from the AFC South lead themselves. If Tampa Bay can take this victory, it’ll come within striking distance of the division title once again.

Bucs Report Card: How we graded Tampa Bay’s loss to San Francisco in Week 11

Here’s how we graded Tampa Bay’s offense, defense, special teams and coaching in Week 11:

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers dropped their Week 11 game to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. That was to be expected, but that doesn’t mean that the standard should be lowered for the team itself.

The Bucs tend to underperform when faced with what offensive coordinator Dave Canales called “championship moments”, and this was another example of that. The Bucs dropped their game to the 49ers 27-14 on Sunday, dropping to 4-6. And while they’re still alive in the NFC South race, there are a lot of deep-rooted issues faced by Tampa Bay that don’t look like they’ll get better any time soon.

Here is how we graded all aspects of Tampa Bay’s performance:

Studs and Duds from Tampa Bay’s 27-14 loss to the 49ers

As always, some players showed out and some didn’t show up on Sunday against the 49ers:

While Sunday’s result against the San Francisco 49ers wasn’t exactly unexpected, the amount of chances the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had to stay competitive was — and they were chances that the Bucs often squandered.

Tampa Bay lost to the 49ers 27-14 on Sunday, and the game was closer than many believed it would be for a period of time. The Bucs were down less than a score heading into the second half, but things quickly got out of hand in the third quarter for Tampa Bay. There were still some solid performers from the game, but as always, there were also a few that contributed to the team’s woes.

Here are our studs and duds from Sunday:

Bucs Wire staff picks for Week 11 against the 49ers

Yeah, this might be a tough ask.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers can absolutely win against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. It’s just going to be very, very difficult.

The 49ers are 6-3 and coming off of a big win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, one of the best teams in the AFC. The Bucs also defeated an AFC South team, besting the Tennessee Titans in Week 10, but are still just 4-5 and fighting for a playoff spot and the division lead in the NFC South. The Bucs don’t need to win this game to do that, but doing so would be a huge playoff swing for the team.

Here is how our writers see Week 11’s big matchup going for the Bucs:

Behind Enemy Lines with the San Francisco 49ers

We sat down with 49ers Wire to take a look at Tampa Bay’s next opponent on Sunday.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have tilted with the likes of the Detroit Lions and the Philadelphia Eagles this year, but they face one of their biggest challenges yet this Sunday.

The Bucs are set to go up against the indomitable San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara, California for Week 11, travelling across the country to play one of the NFC’s most vaunted foes. It didn’t go well for Tampa Bay last year, losing 35-7 in Levi’s Stadium in Brock Purdy’s first NFL start.

We sat down with 49ers Wire’s Kyle Madson to talk about San Francisco’s recent three-game losing streak, last year’s matchup and more.
