Watson is feared to have torn his Achilles.

Thompson-Robinson was escorted to the locker room for examination. Kevin Stefanski told the media he’d have an update on Thompson-Robinson’s injury on Monday. Quarterback Jameis Winston finished the game for the Browns. Winston was demoted to third-string quarterback earlier today.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson suffers major achilles injury in game against the Cincinnati Bengals

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered an achilles injury during the Cincinnati Bengals game. Watson was carted off the field, he presumably tore his achilles and will be out for the season. Players from both teams crowded around Watson and wished him well before he was driven off.

Watson struggled in his first half against the Bengals. He was coming into his own near the end of the second quarter. Watson was evading pressure and making plays out of structure. He led the Browns into the Bengals’ side of the field before his injury.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson was promoted to the second string before the game.  The Browns shocked fans making Jameis Winston a healthy scratch. The move has worked well so far.

Thompson-Robinson delivered a beautiful back shoulder throw to Cedric Tillman which resulted in a defensive pass interference penalty in the end zone. The ball was placed at the one-yard line, and Nick Chubb scored his first touchdown of the season, four plays later. The Browns are losing to the Bengals 6-7 at the end of the first half.

Browns lose Elijah Moore in loss to Eagles

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore suffered a leg injury against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore suffered a leg injury against the Philadelphia Eagles. Moore was injured during the waning minutes of the fourth quarter. He was tackled from behind and his legs buckled underneath him. Moore was able to walk off the field and into the medical tent.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski stated that Moore suffered a shot to his ribs.

Moore had another quiet day on the Browns. Quarterback Deshaun Watson is struggling to deliver the football to his wide receivers. The Browns’ passing offense was non-existent for most of the game.  Watson threw the ball for 144 yards and took five sacks. Moore caught his one target for three yards.

Moore can be a valuable part of the offense, but without a quarterback to get him the ball, it’s impossible to tell how he’s playing. The Browns brought in Moore two seasons ago to boost their passing offense, but opportunities have evaded him.

Hopefully, Moore will be healthy for next week. The Browns play the Cincinnati Bengals next week.

Another offensive lineman carted off in Week 6

The Cleveland Browns’ starting center, Nick Harris, suffered a right leg injury against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Cleveland Browns’ starting center, Nick Harris, suffered a right ankle injury against the Philadelphia Eagles. Harris injured his lower leg on a pile-up on third down. He was carted off the field with an air cast on his right leg. Harris was starting for an injured Ethan Pocic.

Harris has suffered multiple season-ending injuries during his time with the Browns. The team selected Harris in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL draft. The team likes Harris as a player and teammate. The Browns traded for Harris before the season started after losing him in free agency. It’s regrettable how derailed his career has been by injuries.

Starting right guard Michael Dunn is moving to center to replace Harris. Rookie guard Zak Zinter will step in as the right guard. The Browns starting right tackle made his return against the Eagles. Unfortunately, the Browns cannot avoid injuries on their offensive line. The Browns must get healthy to battle for a wild card spot.

Browns have four players exit Commanders’ game

Cleveland Browns starters Denzel Ward and Charlie Hughlett are ruled out against the Washington Commanders. Defensive starters Grant Delpit and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah are questionable to return.

Cleveland Browns lost a rash of starters during the third quarter against the Washington Commanders. Two two longtime starters were ruled out. Franchise cornerback Denzel Ward exited the game with a hamstring injury.  The Browns also lost their longest tenured player, long snapper, Charlie Hughlett with a rib injury.

Browns S Rodney McLeod exits, returns Commanders game with a cut face

Cleveland Browns starting safety Rodney McLeod Jr. left the game against the Washington Commanders with a face laceration

Cleveland Browns starting safety Rodney McLeod Jr. left the game against the Washington Commanders with a face laceration. He is questionable to return. Ronnie Hickman has stepped in as the deep safety to face the Commander’s prolific passing attack.

The Browns are vulnerable at deep safety. Starting free safety Juan Thornhill suffered a calf injury after the first game, and was placed on injured reserve during Week 2 of the season. He is able to return after next week.

McLeod and Hickman have stepped in for Thornhill, but they’re having a limited impact. McLeod is a 13-year veteran and his experience helps the Browns pre-snap, but he no longer has the athleticism to patrol the deep middle of the field. Hickman is inexperienced and is constantly caught between assignments.

The Browns need McLeod’s experience to help limit the Commanders’ explosive passing attack.

He came back into the game afterward being treated on the sideline.

Another DE exits with an injury

Cleveland Browns defensive end Ogbo Okoronkwo exited the game against the Washington Commanders and is being evaluated for a concussion.

Cleveland Browns defensive end Ogbo Okoronkwo exited the game against the Washington Commanders. Okoronkwo was seen walking to the locker rooms with trainers during the two-minute warning. Okoronkwo is being evaluated for a concussion.

The Browns are thin at the defensive end position. Reigning defensive player of the year, Myles Garrett is battling lower leg injuries. They lost third-year defensive end Alex Wright for the season earlier this week.  Okoronkwo is the Browns’ designated pass rusher, but he’s getting more and more playing time after the rash of injuries.

Okoronkwo is a very good pass rusher, but he struggles to sustain his gap in the run game. The Browns need the veteran defensive end healthy as they near the end of their bench. The Browns’ defense has been pitiful this season due to their inability to win in the trenches.  The Browns must create a better pass rush for their defense to improve. They need Okoronkwo for that.

Starting CB enters the concussion protocol after exiting vs. Raiders

The Browns lost another starter at the end of the game and his status is now up in the air.

Cleveland Browns starting cornerback Martin Emerson Jr. exited the game against the Las Vegas Raiders in the waning minutes of an embarrassing loss.

Emerson was slow to get up and walked to the medical tent with a gaggle of trainers to the medical tent. Emerson was deemed to be in the concussion protocol by head coach Kevin Stefanski after the game.

Emerson had a very rough game against the Raiders. Emerson gave massive cushions to Raiders’ receivers and they gladly ate up the free yards.  Emerson was torched multiple times by Raiders’ receiver Tre Tucker.

The Browns juggled their cornerbacks to replace Emerson. Slot cornerback Greg Newsome II kicked outside. Backup cornerback Cameron Mitchell replaced Newsome in the slot. Mitchell has played well in his limited time as Brown. He plays with a lot of physicality and he fits the demeanor of the defense.

The Browns have suffered a rash of injuries against the Raiders. The Browns lost starting center Ethan Pocic in the first quarter. Linebacker Jordan Hicks left the game with an injury but eventually came back in.

Hicks was slow to get up and immediately went to the medical tent for examination. Hicks went to the locker room shortly after. He is questionable to return

Browns backup linebackers Devin Bush and Winston Reid have replaced Hicks in the game. Bush is a longtime veteran who will help shoulder the load for the Browns’ defense. Reid is an undrafted free agent and a special teams ace.

The Cleveland Browns were bitten by the injury bug to start the season. The Browns’ offensive line is extremely battered. They lost starting center Ethan Pocic earlier in the game. The Browns’ defense hasn’t been unscathed. Star Myles Garrett is battling through a host of lower leg injuries. The Browns must get healthy to stay competitive over the rest of the season.

Pocic walked to the locker room with trainers near the end of the first quarter. He is questionable to return.

Nick Harris replaced Pocic to start the second drive. Harris played center last week after the Browns shifted Pocic and Joel Bitonio to left guard and left tackle respectively. The Browns’ offensive line has been plagued with injuries.

Their projected starters have yet to play a down together this season. The team put Pro Bowler Wyatt Teller on the injured reserve list. The Browns are starting rookie Zak Zinter in his place. The Browns must get healthy in the trenches.

The Browns offense started hot against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Browns have scored on their first two drives. The Browns are leading the Raiders 10-0 at the end of the first quarter.
