Brooklyn Nets at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s Brooklyn Nets at Chicago Bulls odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Brooklyn Nets (9-12) square off against the Chicago Bulls (8-13) Monday evening. Tip-off from the United Center is set for 7 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Nets vs. Bulls odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: Nets lead 1-0

The Nets dropped 2 in a row to the Orlando Magic, culminating with a 100-92 defeat as 7-point dogs Sunday. F Cam Johnson led the way with 26 points — but rolled his left ankle in the final minute — and G Dennis Schroder added 20 and 7 dimes. The Nets are 4-6 over the last 10 games.

The Bulls dropped their second in a row Friday with a 138-129 cover as 12-point dogs against the Boston Celtics. C Nikola Vucevic had 32 points and 11 boards while drilling 6-for-9 from downtown. F Zach LaVine added 29 points on 4-for-11 from distance. The Bulls have lost 3 of 4.

Nets at Bulls picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 114, Nets 110

Moneyline

Upon looking at this matchup, my initial thought was: “OK, I like the Bulls, and Vucevic is going to be tough to stop.” Then I saw the -350 odds, and my thinking pattern went: “Eww.”

I wouldn’t take the Bulls -350 against a college team.

Instead, this is what I need you to do. Pop open your BetMGM app and place a wager on NIKOLA VUCEVIC OVER 1.5 THREE-POINTERS (-125). I expected this to be 2.5. He’s shooting a career-high 46.9% from downtown. His 3-point shooting lines from the last 7 games: 6-for-9, 2-for-6, 1-for-3, 2-for-4, 2-for-5, 2-for-7, 6-for-8.

Against the spread

Before dropping 2 games to Orlando, the Nets beat Sacramento, Golden State and Phoenix — all on the road. The Nets have also defeated the Bulls in 4 straight games. Brooklyn is 13-7-1 ATS on the year.

I like NETS +7.5 (-110) here.

Over/Under

The last 3 meetings have gone Over, but the totals were 228.5, 214.5 and 221. We haven’t seen a total this high in this matchup since F Kevin Durant and G Kyrie Irving were in Brooklyn. The Nets are 6-4 O/U in their last 10, but the totals peaked at 224.5. Chicago is 7-3 O/U with fairly high totals as the Bulls are 4th with 118.5 PPG and 1st in pace. I believe those to be outliers and not conducive to this roster.

I like the UNDER 233.5 (-110).

Brooklyn Nets at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Brooklyn Nets at Chicago Bulls odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Brooklyn Nets (34-24) are slated to face the Chicago Bulls (26-33) on Friday at United Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Nets vs. Bulls odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Nets covered as 1.5-point home favorites to defeat the Miami Heat 116-105 last Wednesday. Brooklyn has gone 5-5 in its last 10 games despite trading G Kyrie Irving and F Kevin Durant recently.

The Bulls lost 112-100 to the Milwaukee Bucks last Thursday and were unable to cover as 7.5-point underdogs at home. Chicago is on a 6-game losing streak.

This will be the 4th meeting between the Nets and the Bulls this season. Chicago has covered the spread in 2 of the first 3 meetings despite Brooklyn winning the most-recent matchup while the Under has hit in all 3 meetings.

Nets at Bulls picks and predictions

Prediction

Nets 112, Bulls 109

Moneyline

The Bulls are expected to secure a victory at home, but I’ll take the NETS (+115) on the road. Chicago has struggled recently, and the roster has failed to perform well together, while Brooklyn still has a well-rounded roster sans Irving and Durant.

Against the spread

NETS +2.5 (-115) is the choice here despite Brooklyn’s moneyline likely having the better value at such a small spread. The Nets won by 11 just a couple of weeks ago against the Bulls despite Chicago having its usual trio of F DeMar DeRozan, G Zach LaVine and C Nikola Vucevic.

The Bulls are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS loss, and they are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games overall.

Over/Under

UNDER 222.5 (-110) is the lean in this matchup with the Nets playing at a slower pace since trading Irving and Durant. The Under is also 9-1 in the last 10 meetings between these teams.

Brooklyn Nets at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Brooklyn Nets at Chicago Bulls odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Brooklyn Nets (25-12) face the Chicago Bulls (16-21) on Wednesday at United Center. Tip-off is at 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Nets vs. Bulls odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Nets cruised to a 139-103 victory on Monday to cover as 11.5-point favorites on the road. Brooklyn is on a league-best 12-game winning streak.

The Bulls suffered a 145-134 overtime loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday as they failed to cover as 4-point underdogs on the road. Chicago is on a 2-game losing streak and has lost 3 of its last 5 games.

Nets at Bulls picks and predictions

Prediction

Nets 126, Bulls 116

Moneyline

Go ahead and PASS on the moneyline in this game despite the Nets being favored on the road. The risk of taking Brooklyn to win on the road at the current odds isn’t worth the return.

Against the spread

NETS -5.5 (-105) is where I’m leaning given how well Brooklyn has been playing. Amid the team’s 12-game winning streak, the Nets have won 7 of those games by 6-plus points.

The Nets are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a win of 10-plus points. Also, the Nets are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 road meetings against the Bulls.

Over/Under

All the trends point toward the Under being the ideal choice in this game, but I’ll take OVER 236.5 (-105) mainly due to the scoring potential of the Nets. Both of these teams are top 12 in true-shooting percentage this season.

The Bulls have gone Over in each of their last 4 games playing on 1 day of rest and they’ve gone Over in 5 of their last 6 games overall.

Brooklyn Nets at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Monday’s Brooklyn Nets at Chicago Bulls odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Brooklyn Nets (7-3) travel to United Center Monday to take on the Chicago Bulls (6-3). Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Nets vs. Bulls odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Bulls are welcoming the Nets two days after losing a close battle with the Philadelphia 76ers Saturday. The Bulls had multiple chances to pull ahead in the fourth despite the 9-point loss.

Their only losses to start the year are to the New York Knicks and Sixers (twice). Led by SG Zach LaVine and the league’s top fourth-quarter scorer DeMar DeRozan, the Bulls look to get back on track, having gone 2-3 since a 4-0 start.

The preseason title-favorite Nets, led by former MVPs PF Kevin Durant and PG James Harden, have been the opposite of the Bulls as they’ve won their last five games after a 2-3 start. Kyrie Irving remains out of the lineup for personal reasons.

Nets at Bulls odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 108, Nets 106

Money line

BET on the BULLS (-117) as Chicago is one of the smartest teams in the league. They rank third in turnover percentage.

Behind LaVine, DeRozan and big man Nikola Vucevic, this team averages the fourth-most free throws per game and shoots the highest percentage from the line.

Brooklyn ranks 17th in fouls per game which should allow Chicago to get some easy points in this one.

Also, the Bulls have a few stud defenders in Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso, both of whom should get chances to take on Harden and sharpshooter Joe Harris. Limiting them, despite how Durant does, should be key to victory.

The Bulls match up well with Brooklyn, and I expect their depth to help them come out on top in this one.

Against the spread

PASS on the spread and reference above.

Given how competitive these two teams should be, a close game should be expected. While one point isn’t much to be given, it’s providing relatively similar value to the money line, which I prefer here for the marginally worse odds.

Over/Under

“LEAN” to the UNDER 216.5 (-108) as both teams have defensive studs.

Durant should be able to tame one of the Bulls’ leading scorers, DeRozan. On the other side, it’s Caruso or Ball against Harden. I’ll take the young defenders in that one.

Both teams rank in the top six in defensive rating. Given the style of Durant and Vucevic in the halfcourt, both teams also rank outside the top ten in pace.

Considering the defensive prowess and the style of the teams, the Under looks like the better play. Unders are also hitting at over a 60 percent rate this season, so you’re on the side that’s been statistically better.

Brooklyn Nets at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Tuesday’s Brooklyn Nets at Chicago Bulls NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Chicago Bulls (29-39) have won their last three games after dropping four straight, but they’ll face a tough test on Wednesday night with the Brooklyn Nets (44-24) coming to town. Tip-off from the United Center will be at 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Nets-Bulls odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Nets snapped a four-game losing streak by beating the Nuggets 125-119 Saturday. SG James Harden remains out with a hamstring injury, but Brooklyn continues to score at a relatively high clip.

The Nets rank second in scoring and first in field goal percentage this season, with the defense lagging behind as the eighth-worst team in points allowed per game.

The Bulls are coming off a 12-point win over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday, a game in which they were favored by 9.5 points. They also crushed the Boston Celtics last week as 4-point underdogs, winning that one 121-99.

C Nikola Vucevic has averaged 22.7 points per game with the Bulls, while SG Zach LaVine leads the team with an average of 27.3 points per game.

Nets at Bulls: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bulls 116, Nets 114

Money line (ML)

It’s hard to trust the Nets right now after they dropped four straight, even coming off their win over the Nuggets.

The Bulls, on the other hand, have been tough to beat in the last week, especially given their 22-point win over the Celtics as 4-point underdogs.

There’s a nice reward to be had with a small wager on the Bulls +155, but I’d PASS on the money line and bet on the spread instead.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The Bulls are getting 4.5 points from the Nets tonight, which is a line I like. Brooklyn has only covered once in its last five games and the Bulls have not only won three straight, but they covered in each game, too.

Bet on the BULLS +4.5 (-110) tonight.

Over/Under (O/U)

The Over/Under is predictably high tonight, sitting at 232.5. But it might be tough for the Nets and Bulls to push the total over that number. The Under is 7-0 in the Bulls’ last seven games and 4-1 in the Nets’ last five.

I like the UNDER 232.5 (-105) in this one.

Brooklyn Nets at Chicago Bulls odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Sunday’s Brooklyn Nets at Chicago Bulls NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Brooklyn Nets (34-15) visit the Windy City Sunday for an early afternoon game against the Chicago Bulls (19-28) at United Center. Tip-off will be at 2 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Nets-Bulls odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Brooklyn has won four straight games, six of seven and 12 of its last 14 games but is just 5-19 against the spread in those contests.

The Nets’ only loss in the past two weeks was against current the Western Conference’s top-seeded Utah Jazz by a 118-88 score March 24 without any of their Big 3.

Chicago has lost six games in a row and eight of its last nine games while going 4-5 ATS. The past four Bulls losses were on a four-game Western Conference road trip with the latest being a 113-106 loss to the Jazz as 11-point underdogs Friday.

Nets at Bulls: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bulls 114, Nets 107

Money line (ML)

Newly acquired Bulls C Nikola Vucevic has played the Nets three times already this season while with the Orlando Magic, and he has balled out.

Vucevic is averaging 28 points per game on 49.3% shooting (40.7% from 3-point range) with 12.0 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game vs. the Nets this season.

Also, Brooklyn has one of its major edges dulled (offensive FTA/FG rate) with Harden being sidelined by injury.

Nets’ PG Kyrie Irving is in the bottom 36th percentile of guards in on-off court offensive free-throw rate, according to CleaningTheGlass.com, whereas Harden is in the top 95th percentile for guards.

“LEAN” toward BULLS (+125) for a quarter-unit.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

Definitely bet BULLS +3 (-110) heavier than or instead of Chicago’s money line.

My guess is every team in the league looks forward to playing Brooklyn and the Nets will get every team’s best effort even in the regular season.

Adding to that, the Nets are starting to play down to their competition and are 0-5 ATS in their last five games vs. teams with losing records.

Over/Under (O/U)

PASS with a slight “lean” towards Under 225.5 (-110) because the Nets have played to the Under in three straight games and six of their last seven contests and the Bulls are 3-7 O/U in their last 10 games.

The dealbreaker is that the inconsistent Chicago offense should be able to execute against a Brooklyn team that seems like it doesn’t want to play defense every now and then.
