WWE Raw results: Brock laughs, Trish confesses, and a bargain breaks down

Find out what happened as The Judgment Day battled Matt Riddle, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in the main event.

When you’re a WWE legend, sometimes you just do whatever you want and you don’t have to gives your reasons why until after the fact. That’s an idea that’s relevant to two of the big subplots for tonight’s episode of WWE Raw from North Little Rock.

First, there’s Brock Lesnar. Cody Rhodes actually thought he was going to tag up to face the Bloodline together, and why not? Lesnar certainly has no love for Roman Reigns, and besides, this was Cowboy Brock. The guy with the big hat and the bigger smile. Surely, Cody could trust him.

As it turned out, not so much. Rhodes shifted naturally from disappointment (and pain) to seeking some payback, and challenged Lesnar to a match at Backlash. Tonight should give us an inkling about whether he’s going to accept.

It was ever so slightly less shocking when Trish Stratus assaulted Becky Lynch after they lost the tag team titles together — or rather, Stratus lost the belts that didn’t even belong to her — because, well, Trish has done this before. But whether The Man really thought Stratus was her ride or die or not, what’s done is done, and now Trish is supposedly going to tell the WWE Universe why she did what she did.

Oh, and Becky says she won’t be there, but we shall see.

Also on tap for tonight, Austin Theory takes on Bobby Lashley in a battle of old enemies, and The Miz faces Seth Rollins as he continues to try to wash the memory of losing to Snoop Dogg away. Sorry, Miz, not going to happen as long as video exists.

WWE Raw results: Cody challenges Brock, KO fights on one leg but not alone

Live WWE Raw results for April 10, 2023 in Seattle, with Cody Rhodes addressing the fallout from his assault by Brock Lesnar last week.

Poor Cody Rhodes. All he wanted to do was to keep fighting those mean jerks in the Bloodline, and it seemed like he even had a strong new friend to help him do it last week on Raw.

Then Brock Lesnar viciously attacked him, proving that even though there was a happy go lucky Cowboy Brock under his mean jerk exterior, there was, in fact, another mean jerk underneath Cowboy Brock. Who knew?

Since Roman Reigns doesn’t seem inclined to give Rhodes the rematch he wants, Cody now has to probably do a program with Brock. The good news is that Lesnar doesn’t work every week. The bad news is that, well, when you get in the ring with Lesnar, you have to get in the ring with Lesnar. Suplex City and all that.

Anyway, the fallout from that attack is supposed to go down tonight in Seattle, whatever that turns out to be.

You may also be interested to know that there’s a tag team title match slated for this episode of Raw. Becky Lynch and Lita were two-thirds of a winning team at WrestleMania 39, but now they’ve got to settle in and start defending their championship. They’ll take the first stab at that tonight against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, who should at the very least compete against them in a straightforward and respectful manner.

Earlier today, WWE also promoted this episode as the in-ring return of Matt Riddle against The Miz, but that match is no longer mentioned in the preview on the company’s website, so we’re assuming it got scrapped for some reason.

That leaves a lot of time to fill with other stuff, so we’ll just have to wait and see what else is in store. Tune in to USA at 8 p.m. ET to watch, or pop back in here as we Wrestle Junkies keep you up to date with the latest WWE Raw results as they take place.

WWE Raw After WrestleMania results: One Beast of a surprise for Cody Rhodes

If there’s ever an episode of its flagship show that WWE wants to play close to the vest, the Raw After WrestleMania is it. On the heels of an eventful and emotional two-night WrestleMania at SoFi Stadium, the scene shifts to Crypto.com Arena for tonight’s show.

And it promises to be more packed than usual, because WWE announced that the first hour will be commercial-free. Will we see NXT promotions? Stars returning after long absences? A certain Catalyst, perhaps? We’ll have to wait and see.

WWE has literally said nothing else about what to expect, so let’s do some speculation. First and foremost, there’s the matter of Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare went into WrestleMania confident and with the vast majority of the WWE Universe behind him to achieve his destiny … and lost.

Since it took the entire Bloodline to defeat him, maybe Rhodes isn’t completely crestfallen. But he’ll have to pick himself up and try to move forward, and that likely starts tonight.

Bianca Belair had a more successful outing on Sunday night, turning away a tough challenge from Asuka to remain the Raw Women’s Champion. We could learn what’s next for The EST of WWE in L.A. as well.

Plus we know Bad Bunny will be on hand tonight. The music superstar played a small but pivotal role on night 1 of WrestleMania, preventing Dominik Mysterio from using a chain on his father. Bad Bunny will be the host of Backlash, the next WWE premium live event, but perhaps there’s even more in store for him on Raw.

There’s bound to be much more, but just like you, we’re going to have to watch to see exactly what it is. That means tuning to USA at 8 p.m. ET (and getting all your bathroom breaks in ahead of time, thanks to the no commercials) or keeping it locked here at Wrestling Junkie for us to hit you with live Raw After WrestleMania results all evening.

Opening Bell: WrestleMania callouts continue, Winnipeg welcomes AEW

Get set for the week in WWE and AEW with Opening Bell: quick previews of Raw, SmackDown, Dynamite and Rampage.

Welcome to the Opening Bell, where we round up what’s been announced for WWE (Raw and SmackDown) and AEW (Dynamite and Rampage) programming for the week we’ve just begun.

WWE Raw preview – Monday, March 13, Amica Mutual Pavilion, Providence, RI

Eight matches are set for WrestleMania 39, but guess what? That’s not enough to fill up two days of action from SoFi Stadium.

Raw is going to help with that, it appears. Edge wants Finn Balor to face him man to man so they can settle things between them once and for all. Three guesses how this is likely to end, and the first two don’t count. So, uh, one guess, that is.

Brock Lesnar has (somewhat surprisingly) already accepted a WrestleMania meeting with Omos. What we haven’t seen yet is the two men in the same ring so we can all go, “Hey, Omos is way taller than Brock, wow!” We’ll get that opportunity on Raw.

Here’s what else to expect this Monday on USA:

AEW Dynamite preview – Wednesday, March 15, Canada Life Centre, Winnipeg

You may have heard that Candian pro wrestling fans are pretty great. You may have also heard that AEW Dynamite does well when it visits a city for the first time. Both of those things are true, and both are relevant this week when AEW makes its debut in Winnipeg.

The company will try to repay the sure to be live crowd with a big match starring two of its favorite sons. Kenny Omega and The Elite will battle Chris Jericho and the Jericho Appreciation Society and current titleholders House of Black in a triple threat match for the AEW World Trios Championship.

Orange Cassidy is also done defending his All-Atlantic Championship … because it’s now the AEW International Championship. Jeff Jarrett will attempt to ensure that his reign ends as soon as it begins on Dynamite.

Here’s everything else AEW is promoting for Winnipeg:

  • Hangman Adam Page and the Dark Order (including Canada’s own Stu Grayson) will do the trios thing too against Blackpool Combat Club
  • TBS Champion Jade Cargill will accept an open challenge from any Canadian opponent
  • MJF will have his re-bar mitzvah celebration
  • We’ll hear from The Outcasts, which is what Saraya, Toni Storm and Ruby Soho are now calling themselves
  • QTV will make its debut

WWE SmackDown preview – Friday, March 17, T-Mobile Center, Kansas City, MO

One match wasn’t enough to determine who Gunther will face in an Intercontinental Championship defense at WrestleMania. So this week’s SmackDown will attempt to settle that issue, with Sheamus and Drew McIntyre battling for the opportunity.

The two longtime rivals turned friends may be back to their old status quo now after both pinned opponents at the exact same time last week (that was the first match we referred to above). If one can defeat the other man to man, they’ll move on to the title match in L.A. … but we have a feeling there might be more hijinks involved.

AEW Rampage preview – Friday, March 17, Canada Life Centre, Winnipeg (recorded March 15)

It’s a holiday edition of sorts for Rampage this week, with the broadcast taking place on St. Patrick’s Day. Even though it’s being pre-taped Wednesday, AEW does an excellent job of celebrating whatever is going on when Rampage actually airs (like it did on NBA All-Star weekend, for example), so it’s no surprise this is being billed as St. Patrick’s Day Slam.

While we know AEW will play up that theme to the hilt, we don’t know yet what matches are booked for Friday night. As is often the case, keep an eye on both the company’s social media accounts and this week’s Dynamite to get more insight.

WWE Raw results: Edge learns The Judgment Day isn’t done with him yet

The old adage about try, try again will be in full effect tonight on WWE Raw in Ottawa.

As you may have heard, Sami Zayn did not write the storybook ending to his personal saga at Elimination Chamber in front of his hometown fans in Montreal this weekend. But it’s possible that a Canadian could still end up sporting some gold before WWE heads back to the U.S.

That’s because Edge has answered the open challenge of Austin Theory for the United States Championship. Both men should feel pretty good coming off big victories on Saturday night. But Theory has a way of coming out on top even when things go against him, and Edge can’t be sure he’s left The Judgment Day completely behind him. That makes it look like uphill sledding for the Rated R Superstar.

Speaking of uphill sledding, Mustafa Ali has been doing plenty of that in recent weeks. While he’s more than willing to do whatever it takes to earn more opportunities, he’s about had it with Dolph Ziggler for … well, not having the same attitude, basically. They’ll try to settle their differences in the ring in Ottawa.

And a late addition to tonight’s card should also have plenty of WrestleMania implications as Seth Rollins battles The Miz. Rollins saw his Elimination Chamber moment ruined by Logan Paul, who also has quite a history with the A-Lister. It will be interesting to see if and how that might come into play tonight.
