Un nuevo escándalo entre un famoso y un empleado de una aerolínea, solo que esta vez, el famoso es un ex jugador de la NFL y terminó arrestado por la policía del Aeropuerto Newark Liberty de Nueva Jersey.

Se trata de Brendan Langley, receptor abierto que actualmente juega en la liga de Canadá pero que formó parte de los Denver Broncos entre 2017 y 2018 quien golpeó a un empleado de la aerolínea provocándole una herida en el rostro.

El video compartido en redes sociales rápidamente se hizo viral pues se muestra que están discutiendo y es el empleado el primero en soltar un golpe que fue respondido por el jugador profesional de la liga de Canadá y donde todo terminó con el jugador arrestado y el empleado despedido.

La aerolínea United Airlines emitió un comunicado advirtiendo que investigarán más a fondo los hechos pues no toleran ningún tipo de violencia ni en aeropuertos ni a bordo de sus aviones.

Testigos refieren que la discusión comenzó cuando Langley comenzó a transportar sus cosas en una silla de ruedas por lo que el empleado le dijo que no era posible y tendría que pagar por un carrito extra por lo que las cosas subieron de tono y terminó en el video que todos pudimos observar.

A former Denver Bronco draftee and current Calgary Stampeder was in a wild fight at Newark Airport

One of the combatants in the wild brawl at Newark Airport in New Jersey was a former NFL and current CFL player.

Brendan Langley, a third-round pick by the Denver Broncos in 2017 and current Calgary Stampeder, has been arrested and charged with simple assault.

The United Airlines worker he fought in the melee is no longer employed by the airline as a result.

The Calgary Stampeders football club is aware of the reports concerning Brendan Langley.

The team is currently looking into the matter in order to learn the full details and will have no further comment until the investigation is complete.

Langley signed with the CFL  team in February as a wideout.

With the Broncos, je played 16 games at defensive back over the 2017 and ’18 seasons. He made six tackles and returned 10 kickoffs for 244 yards and one punt for six yards.

Rahim Moore was among six former Denver Broncos players who were cut when XFL teams trimmed their rosters from 71 players down to 52 players earlier this week. The safety failed to make Washington, D.C.’s final roster.

In addition to Moore, defensive lineman Sealver Siliga (Dallas), offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio (Seattle), tight end Orson Charles (Dallas), wide receiver Steven Dunbar (Dallas) and cornerback Lorenzo Doss (New York) were also cut by their XFL teams.

Former Denver wide receiver Jordan Leslie, linebacker Josh Banderas, wide receiver John Diarse and wide receiver Durron Neal were part of the XFL draft pool but went unselected in October.

Ex-Broncos cornerback Brendan Langley was drafted by the XFL’s Houston-based team but he left the league to sign with the Seahawks’ practice squad during the NFL playoffs. After Seattle’s season ended, Langley’s contract expired and he was not re-signed.

Wide receiver/returner Kelvin McKnight was selected by Dallas in the XFL draft but left the league in December to sign a reserve/future contract with the Broncos. He spent part of last season on Denver’s practice squad.

Punter Shane Tripucka, the grandson of Broncos Ring of Fame quarterback Frank Tripucka, was part of the XFL draft pool but went unselected. He worked out for the Broncos in December but was not among the players Denver signed to reserve/future contracts.

Wide receiver Max McCaffrey, the son of former Broncos wide receiver Ed McCaffrey, was selected by D.C. in the XFL draft but he left the team earlier this month to join his father’s coaching staff at Northern Colorado. The younger McCaffrey will coach UNC’s wide receivers this fall.

The XFL will kick off on Saturday, Feb. 8 when D.C. hosts Seattle at 12 p.m. MT on ABC. That game will be followed by L.A. at Houston on Fox.
