The Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide are among the top schools that are battling to land a commitment from elite running back recruit Branson Robinson.
Branson Robinson is a star at Germantown High School in Madison, Misssissippi. He is considered a four-star recruit and is rated as the No. 7 running back prospect in the rising senior class.
The Germantown standout is additionally ranked as the No. 2 recruit in the state of Mississippi. Robinson is a strong player, who has a frame very similar to Georgia Bulldogs legend Nick Chubb. Robinson is 5-foot-10 and weighs 220 pounds.
The four-star running back prospect announced his top five schools via his Twitter account:

Robinson puts Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, LSU, and Tennessee in his list of top schools. He remains open in his recruitment. Robinson surprisingly snubbed the Mississippi State Bulldogs from his top five.
Georgia and Mississippi State are projected to land a commitment from Robinson, but the touted running back prospect appears to be headed out of his home state.
Kirby Smart and the University of Georgia have 12 commitments in the class of 2022 at the moment. Branson Robinson, who is a 2022 recruit, could join four-star running back Jordan James as Georgia’s second commitment at the position.
