Brett Favre told Tom Brady to ‘go for it’

Former NFL QB Brett Favre said he spoke with Tom Brady at Super Bowl LIV and had this to say to the new Bucs QB.

Tom Brady isn’t the first Hall of Fame quarterback to switch teams late in his career. Guys like Joe Montana, Peyton Manning and Brett Favre have all made the move, leaving their respective teams in search of glory elsewhere.

Favre, the longtime quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, found himself switching teams twice towards the end of his career, first going to the New York Jets and then the Minnesota Vikings. Favre’s best season post-Pack was with the Vikes in 2009, when he threw for 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions while leading his team to a 12-4 record and trip to the NFC Championship Game.

Favre spoke on SiriusXM NFL radio yesterday about his encounter at Super Bowl LIV with Brady, and the advice he gave TB12.

The Bucs almost got Favre back in 2008 before he landed with the Jets. Fortunately, they snagged an even bigger quarterback this offseason.
