This video message by Tom Brady makes his Bucs arrival feel real

We’ve yet to see Tom Brady in a Bucs jersey, but he sent out a message to fans today that makes his arrival to Tampa Bay feel real.

Tom Brady is the new quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We’ve read and heard that numerous times over the past month. But since the coronavirus pandemic has put normal life on hold, we haven’t seen Brady holding up a Bucs uniform or wearing a Bucs helmet on the field yet.

And while Brady didn’t give us that today, he did send out a message to all Bucs fans saying how excited he is to be a Buccaneer and how welcoming the Tampa community has been to him and his family.

Take a look at the video, which finally makes this Brady thing feel real for fans.

Tom Brady posts hilarious picture throwing shade at Peyton Manning and Tiger Woods

Ahead of his golfing showdown against Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning, Tom Brady posted this hilarious image on Instagram.

Before the PGA Tour returns this summer (as is the hope) Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning will tee up in The Match: Champions for Charity, with all donations and fundraising going to COVID-19 relief.

Per ESPN:

“The Match: Champions for Charity” will benefit coronavirus relief. The event will air live on TNT — possibly Memorial Day weekend — at an undisclosed location without spectators.

While we don’t know much more about the specifics, we do know that Brady will be teaming up with Mickelson to go against Manning and Woods.

And it seems like Brady is already talking some friendly smack, posting the below picture on his Instagram a short while ago.

Brady’s wife Gisele was quick to comment on her husband’s post, making it clear who she’ll be rooting for.

Let the games begin!

Gronkowski let Brady know about interest in reuniting two months ago

Rob Gronkowski is now a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but it seems he started thinking about returning two months ago.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers pulled off a blockbuster trade yesterday with the New England Patriots that will bring tight end Rob Gronkowski out of retirement and reunite him with quarterback Tom Brady.

The pair worked wonders on the field during their nine-year run together, with Gronk catching 78 touchdown passes from the future Hall of Famer, most by any player. But while fans seemed shocked by the news, Brady, himself, may have seen it coming.

According to Gronkowski, he let Brady know about his possible interest in returning when they met up to throw around the football a few months ago, before Brady had made his decision to leave the Patriots and join Tampa Bay.

Per Gronkowski (via ESPN):

“I said, ‘I’m definitely interested in your decision that you make.’ I didn’t put any pressure on him. I said, ‘If there’s a right opportunity out there, and you go somewhere and that opportunity is right — even if you go back to the Patriots and I feel like the opportunity is right — there’s a possible chance that I would definitely love to reconnect.'”

Gronk went on to say that Brady was “all fired up and juiced up” about the idea. I’m guessing Brady is still feeling that way today.

Tom Brady celebrates the return of Gronk on Twitter

Bucs QB Tom Brady took to Twitter today to tell his old friend Gronk it’s “time to run it back.”

First Tom Brady, and now Rob Gronkowski.

It seems the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are becoming the Patriots of the NFC South after acquiring the star tight end from New England yesterday. Gronk will end his one-year retirement to join Brady and the loaded Bucs in 2020.

Brady and Gronk have dominated on the field together, and nobody seems happier about his return than Brady himself. The six-time Super Bowl champion took to Twitter this morning to celebrate the return of his friend.

Take a look.

WWE issues statement putting Rob Gronkowski on notice

Rob Gronkowski may be looking to bring a title to the Bucs in 2020, but he’ll also have to prepare to defend another sort of title.

The Buccaneers’ vault just added a little more treasure to it today, as Tampa Bay worked a trade with the New England Patriots to bring tight end Rob Gronkowski to the Bucs to reunite with quarterback Tom Brady.

Gronk retired from football last offseason, so has been away from the game for a full year. Clearly, some time away was just what he needed to reignite his desire to play. But while Gronk prepares to work with Brady to bring a championship to Tampa Bay, he’ll also have to be prepared to defend another title of sorts.

Check out the tweet below from ESPN’s Field Yates.

I have a feeling Floridians will embrace Gronk.

Another Tom Brady celebrates a special anniversary today

Bucs QB Tom Brady took to Instagram today to give a special shoutout to a few special people in his life, including Tom Brady.

Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has had a lot to celebrate over his Hall of Fame career. From numerous records set to six Super Bowl championships, every year is an anniversary of some achievement in the quarterback’s football life.

But, today, it’s another Tom Brady who is celebrating an anniversary — Tom Brady, Sr. that is. The junior Brady took to Instagram today to wish his mother and father a special 51st anniversary.

Fun fact: Brady and his New England Patriots mounted the greatest comeback in history in Super Bowl 51 against the Atlanta Falcons, overcoming a 28-3 second-half deficit.

Congratulations to the Brady bunch!

A reminder that Tom Brady had this resume ready to go if football didn’t work out

Bucs QB Tom Brady had his resume ready to go back in 2000 in case football didn’t work out for him.

The NFL draft is next week, and for a select few it will mark the culmination of years of hard work and sacrifice. The draft is where dreams are made and also shattered. Players hoping to get that phone call from a general manager or head coach are soon faced with the stark reality of the NFL business, which is that no matter how big your dreams are, sometimes things just don’t go your way.

For Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, the thought of not being drafted certainly crossed his mind more than once during the 2000 NFL draft, when the Michigan quarterback had to wait until the sixth round to hear his name called.

Brady, as we all know, has yet to forgive or forget what happened to him on that fateful day. And, as it turns out, he had his resume all polished and ready to go in case football didn’t work out for him. Take a look now at an old Facebook post from Brady where he showed off his resume.

Brady has a few more accolades he can probably add to his resume now.

Donovan Smith shows off his sweet home gym setup

With social distancing preventing athletes from going to the gym, Bucs tackle Donovan Smith showed off his home gym setup on Instagram.

With the coronavirus pandemic putting the sports world on hold, NFL veterans are having to find new ways to stay in shape without the benefit of the world class training facilities they’ve become accustomed to using during the offseason.

For Bucs safety Andrew Adams, that means doing a little band work in his driveway, while former quarterback Jameis Winston has been putting in the time and effort at home in his own backyard. For Bucs offensive tackle Donovan Smith, who will be part of the O-line in charge of protecting Tom Brady this upcoming season, that means setting up a sweet little home gym right in his garage.

Smith posted to his Instagram story recently to show the setup he has going on and some of the equipment at his disposal. I’m sure Brady doesn’t care how Smith stays in shape, so long as it means he stays upright.

Take a look at some of the screenshots from Smith’s story below.

This Instagram post caused a friendly feud between two Bucs teammates

What started as an innocent post by the Bucs on Instagram quickly turned into a friendly feud between Andrew Adams and Sean Murphy-Bunting.

Bucs quarterback Tom Brady spent two decades playing for the New England Patriots and their head coach Bill Belichick. While championships seemed to come on almost a yearly basis for the G.O.A.T., the “Patriot Way” and Belichick’s strict environment may have ultimately played a role in Brady’s decision to bolt this offseason.

Now in Tampa Bay, Brady will be playing for Bruce Arians, a coach who seems to be the complete opposite of Belichick in terms of personality. Even better, Brady will be walking into a locker room filled with great teammates and big personalities. It really is a brotherhood among Bucs players in the locker room, which was clear after Brady signed and several Bucs players initially refrained from celebrating out of respect for former QB Jameis Winston.

And if you want more proof of just how close-knit these Bucs players are, take a look at this recent Instagram post from the Buccaneers’ official account. What started off as an innocent highlight video of cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting quickly turned into a friendly feud between SMB and Bucs safety Andrew Adams.

Take a look.

Flashback Friday: Brady’s Patriots down Byron Leftwich’s Jaguars in playoffs

Now that they are together in Tampa, take a look back at the 2005 AFC Wild Card game between Tom Brady’s Patriots and Byron Leftwich’s Jags.

Tom Brady coming to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers means he’ll now be working with not only head coach Bruce Arians, but also offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich.

Leftwich, a former first round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars, went 0-2 against Brady during his days as the Jacksonville QB, including a loss in the 2005 AFC Wild Card.

In honor of Flashback Friday, take a look back now at highlights from that game.
