Fairleigh Dickinson busted all of the remaining 2023 NCAA men’s tournament brackets

Fairleigh Dickinson: the ultimate bracket buster.

No. 16 Fairleigh Dickinson didn’t just take down No. 1 Purdue in historic fashion on Friday night.

It also busted all of the remaining brackets for the 2023 NCAA men’s tournament.

The gigantic upset victory for Fairleigh Dickinson erased any possibility that anyone who filled out a bracket this year would remain perfect, as not many would’ve expected Purdue to bow out of the tournament so quickly.

However, the Cinderella story of Cinderella stories had other plans, as the brackets fell to the wayside as the Knights pulled off the unbelievable win.

If you were depending on Purdue to win to keep your bracket alive, Fairleigh Dickinson says sorry not sorry.

Hey, a busted bracket isn’t the end of the world, and there’s always next year.

It’s incredibly rare to stay perfect for this long in the NCAA men’s tournament, and Fairleigh Dickinson’s amazing victory will surely heal any pain a busted bracket can cause.

3 important things to consider before filling out your men’s March Madness brackets, including key injuries

Helpful information and hints to make it easier to fill out a bracket.

The time has come. You have your printed out bracket and a pen. Oh, right sorry, it’s 2023. More realistically, you have your computer and a tab open to whatever your bracket challenge of choice is. It’s officially March Madness, and it’s time to fill out your men’s NCAA tournament bracket.

Before you put pen to paper — or keystroke to keyboard — there are some things to know. Which teams are dealing with injuries at the worst time? Who is playing close to home? Which team is riding a hot (or worse, cold) streak in March?

Let’s take a look at some things you should take into consideration before hitting submit on your bracket.

4 teams with the hardest path to 2023 Men’s Final Four (including Duke)

Which top teams have their work cut out for them this March?

The bracket is set, the ball will soon tip and the madness is just about here.

But when the dust settles, which of the 68 teams will make it to the 2023 men’s Final Four in Houston? Kansas, Houston, Purdue and Alabama remain the favorites after Selection Sunday, though they’ll each have their own tests ahead of them.

Still, the top-seeded teams tend to have easier paths to the first weekend in April than anyone else.

So who has the toughest road to the Final Four?

Let’s break it down by region using KenPom projections to see which of the elite teams in each has their work cut out for them.

Seahawks fans vote for Malik Willis to replace Russell Wilson at QB in 2022

The NCAA tournament begins today, so a lot of sports fans are in the mood for brackets.

The NCAA tournament begins today, so a lot of sports fans are in the mood for brackets. When it comes to the Seahawks, the talk is all about who their next franchise quarterback will be to replace Russell Wilson, who’s now officially with the Broncos. To find out which QB is the most popular option to start the 2022 season for Seattle, we decided to conduct a series of polls using our Seahawks Wire Twitter account.

First, among potential free agent QB signings, former 49ers starter Colin Kaepernick won our poll by a wide margin.

Then, Gardner Minshew of the Eagles (and formerly Washington State) dominated the vote for potential 2022 trade targets at QB.

Next, Liberty QB prospect Malik Willis crushed the competition in our poll of the top options in the 2022 NFL draft class.

Then, Drew Lock won the vote among internal candidates.

Finally, we put up the winners of each bracket against eachother. Malik Willis came out on top there.

It’s probably worth noting that Twitter is only one fairly toxic social media platform and not necessarily representative of the fanbase as a whole. Still, it’s instructive for letting us know how a certain group feels about the team’s options after dealing Wilson to Denver.

6 different NCAA men’s tournament brackets for the non-college basketball fan’s office pool

Six glorious ways to fill out a bracket with zero knowledge about this year’s field.

The 2022 NCAA men’s basketball tournament is finally upon us.

For even the most casual college basketball fans, it’s a reason to celebrate. Soon, our workdays will be filled with the wondrous distraction of Bill Raftery’s voice and 15 seeds punching above their weight class for 30 minutes before crashing back to earth. There may not be a better four-day stretch of sports than the 48 games the NCAA drops on us to welcome spring back into our lives.

If you aren’t a college basketball fan, this is an encroachment. A welcome one, perhaps — no one’s gonna notice if your productivity wanes Thursday/Friday, even if you’re just sneaking out to get your tires rotated — but still an interloper into your world. Much like the fantasy football defeats of fall, you’ll have to deal with stories of busted brackets that neither interest or involve you.

You’ll be confronted with multiple opportunities to join bracket pools. Your excuse of “thanks, but I haven’t really been paying attention this season” will be wiped away by some apocryphal tale of a friend’s friend winning the whole thing based on their dog’s picks.

So, here’s your chance to join them. You won’t even have to make the decisions yourself. Behold, six different brackets, one of which is based on an actual basketball expert’s picks, the rest mostly reliant on outside circumstances that have nothing to do with the game itself. Peruse, figure out which you like most, and feel free to steal it for your office/high school friends/closely-knit nursing home pool.

Barack Obama’s chalky NCAA Tournament bracket

Be careful not to get your fingers dirty with all this chalk…

It’s that time of year again where everyone is filling out brackets for the NCAA Tournament and again, the 44th President of the United States is no exception.

Barack Obama released his NCAA Tournament picks on Thursday and let’s just say the former commander-in-chief was probably a hit with his elementary school teachers because he’s all chalk.

At least in the Final Four.

Let’s examine:

Obama picks the four number-one seeds to reach the Final Four, something that has only happened one time in the history of the tournament.  I get the math behind it making sense but this is like going to the horse track and betting on the 2-1 favorite to show.

I know because when I was broke in college that’s exactly how I’d do it in order to simply be able to have something on each race.  Perhaps I should have instead just been using my money on something else but hey, one day I’ll learn.

It was safe, but it certainly wasn’t very fun.

Obama has Gonzaga beating Illinois in the championship on the men’s side while he got crazy on the women’s side having Baylor, a two-seed, beating Stanford for the title while another two-seed, Maryland, also makes his Final Four.

Brackets. Are. BACK.

It’s that time again – when dunks, brackets and buzzer-beaters inspire widespread incidents of March Madness. Get the jump on your friends by filling out your selections now!

In between all the games, mobile users can play USA TODAY Sports’ Couchketball virtual hoops challenge – the interactive basketball game where your skills determine the outcome.

Favorite Michigan State Spartans ever final: Magic Johnson vs. Cassius Winston

It’s a battle of point guards for the title of favorite Spartan ever

It’s an all hardwood finale for our Favorite Spartans Ever bracket.

Tournament favorite Magic Johnson squares off with the top two seed Cassius Winston to determine your favorite Michigan State athlete of all time.

Both men have had incredible impacts on Michigan State basketball, both on the court and off. Magic is one of the most famous athletes of all time and has a statue outside of the Breslin Center to commemorate his accomplishments. Winston is one of the most beloved players ever, capturing school records and the affinity of fans at a blistering pace.

They each cruised through their regions en route to the final four and made mince meat out of their semifinal competition. Johnson easily dispatched Kirk Cousins, but received his lowest vote percentage of the tournament at 73%. On the other side Winston blew out Draymond Green, winning 80% of the vote.

This is sure to be the toughest decision of the entire tournament for many voters, and that is the way it should be. So, for one last time, who is your favorite Michigan State Spartan athlete ever?

2020 NCAA Tournament Bracket: Vote in the championship

Our fake NCAA fan-voted tournament has reached the final. It’s time to decide our champion. Vote now!

It’s been a long, magical road to the get to our imaginary bracket championship, but here we are. With no actual March Madness to be had this year, we turned to you, the fans, to help us decide who will be crowned our NCAA tournament champions.

Did the tournament happen? No. But you all voted in an online poll, and that’s almost like basketball, right?

Anyway, we’re down to two. San Diego State rode a hot streak from the two-seed through a host of tough competitors, and is here now in the final. There they will meet a Cinderella, No. 8 St. Mary’s, who first shocked Kansas in the second round and now finds themselves in the title game.

For this special occasion, we’re going to leave voting open until Friday at noon ET.

VOTE NOW IN THE TITLE GAME.
