Blues at Kings odds, lines, picks and predictions
Prediction
Blues 5, Kings 3
Money line
The BLUES (-130) are a solid value behind Binnington, as they just seem to have the Kings’ number. St. Louis outscored Los Angeles 10-3 in the first two meetings, so there is no reason to not keep banging them, even though the venue has changed.
Against the spread
The BLUES -1.5 (+170) are worth a small-unit play on the puck line. The Blues have had a high-octane offense that averages a league-best 4.7 goals per game, including a No. 2 ranked power play. St. Louis is also second on the penalty kill, another big reason for its success.
Five of its six victories have been by 2 or more goals, so if you like St. Louis straight up, you should like them on the puck line.
Over/Under
OVER 5.5 (-110) is the lean here. As mentioned above, St. Louis has the No. 1 scoring offense in the NHL, and L.A. has found its offense lately after a slow start as it’s scored eight goals across the past two games which include an Over result Saturday against Montreal.
