Texas A&M continues to roll on in Omaha beating Kentucky 5-1 on Monday night. This win will allow the Aggies to get some rest as they nurse a few minor injuries to Hayden Schott and Jace LaViolette.

Another major win that came out of the game is that Coach Jim Schlossnagle was able to save both his star closers Chris Cortez and Evan Aschenbeck due to the masterful job by the combo of Ryan Prager and Josh Stewart. They held the Wildcats to four hits and a single run scored.

While both teams left a ton of traffic on the bases, a big sixth inning from the Aggies proved to be the difference in the game scoring all six of their wins in that frame. Below are some of the best photos from the win on Tuesday night.

Best photos from No. 3 Texas A&M’s win vs. Oregon to move on to Omaha

View some of the best photos from Texas A&M’s late rally victory to move on the College World Series!

The Texas A&M Aggie baseball team needed all nine innings to secure their spot in the College World Series. For a large portion of the game, it looked like we were headed for game three. Oregon took an 8-4 lead into A&M and had some work to do if they wanted to get back into the game.

It took a little Olsen magic and a historic meltdown by the Ducks pitchers, but the Aggies exploded for a nine-run seventh inning to take a 13-8 lead. Multiple walks and a hit batter led to five runs coming across the plate, tying the game at 8-8. With bases loaded and two outs, Kaeden Kent stepped into the batter’s box, and with a 2-2 count, he blew the game wide open with a grand slam over the right cent wall.

Up 13-8, A&M would go on to add two more insurance runs off a Hayden Schott home run in the top of the eighth. Oregon was able to put one more run on the board before it was all said and done, but it would be the end of the line for the Ducks, with the Aggies taking the series in Game Two with a 15-9 victory. ‘No panic button,’ Texas A&M senior catcher Jackson Appel reflects on beating Oregon

“We know that we’ve got guys like Chris that are going to come in and they’re gonna dominate. There was no panic button from the offense.”

The No. 3 Texas A&M baseball team beat Oregon by a final score of 10-6 on Saturday afternoon at Blue Bell Park to begin the Bryan-College Station Super Regional.

“We know that we’ve got guys like Chris that are going to come in and they’re gonna dominate. No worries, like that game could easily stay at six the rest of the game for Oregon,” explained senior catcher Jackson Appel. “There was no panic button from the offense. We’ve done it before. We had like Georgia down 9-0 in the first inning earlier in the year and I think we run-ruled them that game. Just not hitting the panic button, staying good, that’s why we wear these shirts. Just finding a way and never hitting the panic button offensively.”

Appel was 3-for-5 with 2 doubles, 2 runs batted in and 2 runs scored against the Ducks. Game 2 at Olsen Field is on Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN2.

Texas A&M baseball will officially host a Regional in the NCAA Tournament

Texas A&M will officially host a Regional in the NCAA Tournament

Make your plans, Aggie fans, because Texas A&M (44-13) has officially been selected to host a regional in this week’s NCAA Tournament. The Aggies are one of 16 seeds that will host after finishing the season with an impressive 44 wins and 19 victories in SEC play.

However, the Aggies’ finish to the regular season features notable struggles at the plate, as the offense failed to find consistency in two consecutive SEC losses to LSU and Ole Miss before finally re-establishing their power-hitting identity against the Arkansas Razorbacks to finish out the season.

Winning two out of three games, A&M’s 14-4 game three victory over the Razorbacks didn’t create any momentum in the SEC Tournament, but SEC Freshman of the year Gavin Grahovac may have had the best quote of the year heading into the postseason:

“We’ve had a rough few weeks, but we’re still the Aggies, and we’re going to continue to play Aggie baseball.”

On Monday afternoon, the Selection show will reveal who the Aggies will face in the College Station Regional at 11:00 a.m. CT. on ESPN2.

Texas A&M expands Blue Bell Park capacity ahead of SEC matchup vs. No. 2 Arkansas

With a Top 5 matchup set to take place this weekend, the Aggies have expanded the capacity for fans to attend the series at Blue Bell Park.

With a pivotal Top 5 matchup set to take place this weekend, Texas A&M has expanded the capacity for the upcoming series at Blue Bell Park.

The No. 4 Aggies will host No. 2 Arkansas to conclude the regular season. Texas A&M desperately needs a boost of momentum after losing its last two sets on the road at LSU and Ole Miss, respectively.

Section 12 at Olsen Field has been revamped ahead of the series versus the Razorbacks. Bleachers have been placed in left center field to add about 250 more seats to the ballpark. General admission seats for that area will be sold at the box office on game day, two hours prior to first pitch. Presales for the lawn, general admission and standing room only have closed.

Weather permitting, the Aggies begin the three-game set Thursday evening at 7 p.m. According to Ryan Brauninger of TexAgs, if the series opener is postponed, a doubleheader would be scheduled for Friday, meaning Texas A&M would have its third conference double-dip in a span of five weeks.

New Texas A&M University plans include $80 million dollar renovation of Blue Bell Park

Plans to renovate Blue Bell Park is welcomed news as Coach Jim Schlossnagle looks to turn A&M into a baseball powerhouse

There is a quote from “Field of Dreams“, one of the greatest baseball movies of all time, “If you build it, he will come”. A line that is often misquoted, but has a lot of meaning in the early tenure of Jim Schlossnagle’s coaching career at Texas A&M.

With around six games left in the 2024 regular season, Coach Schlossnagle has amassed an impressive 123 -55 record, a third-place College World Series finish, and currently has a top-two team in the nation. This has brought record numbers of fans to the Blue Bell stadium to the top of them being over 100% capacity at times. So naturally fans started reaching out to new Texas A&M AD Trev Alberts on “X” asking when the park would see an expansion.

Social prevailed as the Athletics department sent out a link asking for input on enhancing the facility in the lead-up to the post-season. Then just a few short days later, WTAW 1620 AM/94.5 FM confirmed that the Texas A&M system board of regents approved plans that included renovations to Blue Bell Park.

Below you can check out a brief excerpt from the article.

The Texas A&M system board of regents on Tuesday (May 7) approved a new five year capital projects plan that includes an $80 million dollar renovation of the home of Texas A&M baseball.

System documents say the first renovations of Blue Bell Park since its opening in 2012, is scheduled to start during the 2025-26 fiscal year. The documents also say the cost will be paid by stadium revenue funds.

This is music to Aggie baseball fans as more space is needed and help A&M grow their home field advantage making the famous “Ball Five” chant even louder.
