Robert Saleh’s reaction to Xavier Gipson’s game-winning TD return was EVERYTHING

The Jets coach went from looking dejected to this.

In case you missed Monday’s wild end to Week 1, Jets starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers went down with an injury after only four snaps, leaving Zach Wilson (yes, that Zach Wilson) to lead the team the rest of the way.

It was going exactly as you thought it would, except Bills quarterback Josh Allen missed the memo that he could easily win the game, practically giving the football away at every turn. His four turnovers led to a Hail Mary field goal that barely made it in, sending the game to overtime.

In the most Jets way possible, they somehow forced Allen to make more terrible throws, leading to the most “ARE YOU KIDDING ME?” ending to a Monday Night Football game I’ve ever seen.

Rookie Xavier Gipson returned a punt for a walk-off touchdown to win. Seriously.

Jets head coach Robert Saleh’s reaction to that moment was EVERYTHING.

Saleh ran onto the field like it’s Christmas morning, encapsulating all we love about football. I can’t say I blame him. The man experienced a lifetime’s worth of emotions in three hours. (He also likely pulled out what little hair he does have watching his team fight without its starting quarterback.)

As we have seen with Rodgers’ injury, sports can be cruel, but sometimes, sports can bring you childlike joy. What a game.

The Bills are coming off back to back losses to the Titans and the Chiefs, two of the best teams in the league right now, they are looking for a huge bounce-back game at the Jets today. The Jets are who we thought they were, still winless and struggling with Adam Gase as their coach.  The good news is they will have Sam Darnold in the lineup today who will give them a boost.

Can the Bills get back on the winning side of the ball against the lowly Jets?  Tune in today’s game, here is everything you need to know to stream the action!

The Jets relied on their defense to get a 16-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in their last game. Adam Gase’s squad forced two crucial turnovers, both interceptions of Steelers quarterback Devlin Hodges, which proved to be the difference. The Jets and Steelers went into halftime tied at 10, but the Jets held Pittsburgh scoreless the rest of the way to propel themselves to victory.

Meanwhile, Buffalo saw its AFC East title hopes disappear for good last week when the team lost 24-17 to the New England Patriots. Josh Allen threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns, with 108 of those yards going to wide receiver Cole Beasley. However, Allen and the Bills came up just short on their final drive of the game, getting stopped near the goal line in the final two minutes. While there is no such thing as a good loss in the NFL, Buffalo did prove itself capable of competing with the Patriots and the AFC-leading Baltimore Ravens in recent weeks, which is a positive sign heading into the postseason.
