Bills at Steelers picks and predictions

Prediction

Steelers 27, Bills 16

Moneyline

PASS.

The Steelers (-135) have a more commanding offense, but anything is possible in the preseason, so it may be worth a sprinkle on the Bills (+115).

Against the spread

BET PITTSBURGH -1.5 (-110).

With QB Russell Wilson set to see playing time for Pittsburgh Saturday, followed by Fields and Allen, expect a quick start against the Bills. The Buffalo defense allowed 33 points in Week 1 and has not made the changes to adjust quickly enough against two 1st-team caliber quarterbacks who are capable of captaining high-octane offenses.

Over/Under

BET OVER 38.5 (-110).

In their respective openers, both teams allowed a combined 53 points on defense. While both defenses should settle in a bit in Week 2, the offensive production for both should, as well. Expect Pittsburgh to carry more of the load, but both offenses should produce more points Saturday.

Buffalo Bills at Pittsburgh Steelers odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Buffalo Bills at Pittsburgh Steelers odds and lines, with expert NFL picks and predictions.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The Buffalo Bills (1-0) face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0) in Week 2 of the NFL Preseason on Saturday. Kickoff from Acrisure Stadium is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Bills vs. Steelers odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Bills knocked off the Colts 23-19 Saturday in their preseason opener. QB Matt Barkley went 14-of-15 for 172 yards and 2 touchdowns. The biggest story out of Buffalo last week was the return of S Damar Hamlin who saw his first in-game action since last January when he suffered cardiac arrest on the field against the Cincinnati Bengals. Hamlin had 3 solo tackles and seemed to get right back into his groove; a great sign for not only Bills’ fans but the NFL as a whole.

The Steelers took down the Buccaneers 27-17 on the road on Sunday in Week 1 preseason action. Pittsburgh got stellar performances from both quarterbacks with Mason Rudolph throwing 7-of-12 for 132 yards and a touchdown and QB Kenny Pickett going 6-of-7 with a TD pass to WR George Pickens, a connection we are sure to see more of in the regular season.

Bills at Steelers picks and predictions

Prediction

Bills 24, Steelers 23

Moneyline

LEAN BILLS (-120).

While the Steelers had a solid first game, their defense let up 10 unanswered points to end the game and they’ll surely have their hands full with the Bills announcing their starters will suit up for a maximum of a quarter and a half. Bills DL Shaq Lawson and company are still trying to cement their regular season roles, another factor that will lead to a Bills victory.

Against the spread

PASS.

Spreads are never simple in the preseason, especially separated by a point and a half. Both teams are expected to see their first teams, even if only for a quarter, and both teams have solid backup quarterbacks capable of leading their respective offenses. Expect a close game until the final whistle and don’t fret about the spread.

Over/Under

BET OVER 42.5 (-110).

We should expect points Saturday as both teams will start out with the first-team offenses which should test the opposing defenses. Bills QB Kyle Allen is looking to bounce back after a lackluster performance against the Colts last week while Pickett and Rudolph will be looking to pick up where they left off. With different defensive schemes still being perfected, both teams should be able to find the end zone multiple times.
