Florida WR Ricky Pearsall added to Biletnikoff Award Watch List

Florida wide receiver Ricky Pearsall is now earning some national recognition from the Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee.

Florida wide receiver [autotag]Ricky Pearsall[/autotag] is coming off a career game against South Carolina, and he’s now earning some national recognition from the Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee.

The committee added five players to the 2023 Biletnikoff Award Watch List on Thursday in a second round of updates.

“The Biletnikoff Award recognizes the college football season’s outstanding FBS receiver, regardless of position. Any player, regardless of position (wide receiver, tight end, split end, inside receiver, slot back or running back) who catches a pass is eligible for the award. As such, the Biletnikoff Award recognizes the outstanding receiver, not merely the outstanding wide receiver.”

The National Selection Committee is a group of prominent college football journalists, commentators, and former receivers. Foundation trustees do not vote and have never voted, according to the official site.

Receivers are periodically added to the watch list as their season performances dictate, meaning Pearsall has quite literally played his way into contention.
