Wisconsin has one of the easier travel schedules of any Big Ten football team in 2024. It lands at No. 13 of 18 teams in the new-look conference in total travel miles for the 2024 season.

The Badgers are scheduled to travel 6,245.9 miles during their 2024 slate with an average mileage of 1,249.18 miles per road trip. UW will cross six time zones in their current 12-game slate — a number that could change with Wisconsin’s bowl game status in December.

UCLA football, a new addition to the 18-team Big Ten conference, will travel over 22,000 miles this season with an average mileage of 3,764.67 per trip. The Bruins will cross a staggering 26 time zones during their season as well.

Indiana, on the other hand, checks in with the fewest miles required to travel this fall. The Hoosiers will venture just 4,894.88 miles and move an average of 1,233.72 miles for each road trip.

The bulk of Wisconsin’s travel arrives when it squares off against USC in in Week 4, Rutgers in Week 6 and Nebraska in Week 11. The Trojans’ LA Memorial Coliseum is located roughly 2,000 miles from Camp Randall Stadium, which marks UW’s longest voyage of this fall — again barring a coastal bowl game.

Wisconsin’s other away games include a Week 7 matchup vs. Northwestern and a Week 9 contest vs. Iowa. Both universities are located within 200 miles of Madison.

Given the 18-team expansion, Wisconsin’s travel plans will appear differently every season. In 2025, UW will make its way to Eugene, Oregon for a game against Dan Lanning’s Ducks. It will be their furthest Big Ten road destination next fall.
