Ohio State men’s soccer will face Michigan in Big Ten Championship

In another rendition of Ohio State vs. Michigan, the Buckeyes will battle the Wolverines in the Big Ten Men’s Soccer Championship.

Ohio State men’s soccer has been on a roll this season, and it is set to take on the Michigan Wolverines in the Big Ten Championship Game Sunday at 2 p.m. EST.

The game will take place on the Big Ten Network.

The Buckeyes earned the No. 1 spot in the conference and were the lone team with a first-round bye.

As for Michigan, it came in 7th in the Big Ten and beat the No. 2-seeded Indiana Hoosiers on Nov. 7, following that up with a win over the No. 6-seeded UCLA Bruins on Nov 10.

Ohio State had just one foe to down in order to get where it is.

The Buckeyes beat the Washington Huskies, who were ranked No. 4 overall in the tournament. They beat them 3-1 and had a few stellar goals like the one below.

The Buckeyes are 13-1-3 on the season.

They faced Washington at SeatGreek Stadium in Illinois for the semifinal matchup Sunday and will return home to Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium for the Big Ten Tournament title on Nov. 17.

Ohio State will no doubt be the favorite, but Michigan is rolling. This should be a thrilling battle of rivals.

David Bloyou’s scoring helps Penn State move on in Big Ten Men’s Soccer Tournament

Daniel Bloyou scored two goals to lift Penn State by Ohio State in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Men’s Soccer Tournament.

The scoring leg of David Bloyou came in handy in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Men’s Soccer Tournament this weekend for the Penn State Nittany Lions. Two goals from Bloyu proved to be the difference in favor of the Nittany Lions, who moved on with a 3-1 victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday.

Bloyou’s first goal opened the scoring for the game in the 22nd minute, in which he capitalized on a rebound opportunity in front of the Buckeyes’ goal.

Tyger Evans added to the Penn State lead with a goal a mere seven minutes later.

In the second half, Ohio State would start to bring the pressure but Penn State said not so fast and continued to make things difficult. The second goal from Bloyou in the 55th minute gave the Nittany Lions a commanding 3-0 lead, and the rest of the game could be put on cruise control.

Ohio State scored in the 87th minute to snap the shutout.

Penn State will now face Michigan on Wednesday in the Big Ten Tournament Semifinals. Penn State will host the Wolverines, who are coming off a won over Michigan State in the quarterfinal. Game time and TV information was not immediately available at the time of this posting.
