The Thunder come off of Monday’s 90-88 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers as whopping +425 underdogs. The Lakers will win this game as the superior team in all areas of the floor, but the -589 odds are far too chalky with a $10 bet returning a profit of just $1.70. It’s not worth even the incredibly low risk.

The Lakers have won four straight games and are 7-1 at home for the season. Additionally, they last played Sunday in a 122-101 win over the Atlanta Hawks. The have the skill, home and rest advantage over a Thunder squad now 0-5 on the road following Monday’s loss.

Line/Against the Spread (ATS)

The LAKERS (-10.5, -115) are 9-4 overall against the spread and 6-2 at home ATS. The Thunder are 8-5 overall and 3-2 on the road after covering Monday against the Clippers.

Los Angeles outscores its opponents 110.8-100.6 points per game with OKC losing by an average score of 105.8-105.6. The Thunder have played two back-to-backs so far this season and lost the second half each time.

The SUNS are getting -154 odds at home against the Eastern Conference-leading Celtics. Boston is 5-2 away from home and coming off a 100-99 loss to the Sacramento Kings on Sunday as it heads into the third installment of a five-game road trip. Phoenix is 5-3 at home and coming off of a 128-112 beatdown of the Atlanta Hawks. The Celtics are on the second half of a back-to-back while the Suns have been off since Thursday’s win.

Phoenix has had a well-balanced offense of late with four different leading scorers over its last four games. Boston has had three different point leaders over its last four games. The Suns lead the league with a true shooting percentage of 59.3 as a team. The Celtics rank 15th at 56.2%.

Line/Against the Spread (ATS)

The better play Monday is to take the SUNS on the spread of -3.5 (-106). They’ll need to win by just four points against a tired opponent for a $9.43 return on the same $10.

The Sixers are coming off an all-too-close 98-97 home win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. They improved to 4-0 at home with the victory but they now hit the road at 3-3. They’ve won two games in a row after previously beating the Charlotte Hornets 114-106. Philadelphia outscores the opposition by an average of 109.7-105.3 points per game.

The Magic are stuck in 13th in the Eastern Conference following last year’s surprising playoff berth. They’re 0-4 on the road but a respectable 3-3 on home court; however, they dropped a 109-102 decision to the Indiana Pacers at home Sunday. They’ve played tight games but have been outscored by an average of 99.3-98.1.

Philadelphia may be the tired team on the second half of a back-to-back with travel, but it’s also the far deeper team. Star PF Al Horford rested Tuesday, ensuring he’ll be ready to go Wednesday night with Embiid out of the lineup. Take plus money with the 76ers at +110 for the outright win.

The Bulls are minus-4.6 (110.0-105.4). Both teams come into Tuesday having lost their last game. The Knicks took a 108-87 loss at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers Sunday. The Bulls lost 117-94 at home to the Houston Rockets.

In a coin flip game between two bad teams such as this, it’s never a bad idea to chase the value. Back the KNICKS at +190 and make a profit of $19 on a $10 bet should New York come away with the outright road win.

Line/Against the Spread (ATS)

There’s still value on the KNICKS on the spread of +6.5 with -121 odds. The same $10 wager fetches an $8.26 return if they stay within six points in a loss or win outright. They return to TD Garden after sweeping a three-game road swing, finishing it off with a 135-115 win over the San Antonio Spurs in Texas. Boston outscores the opposition by a league-best 9.3 points per game (113.1-103.8).

The Mavs are a perfect 4-0 on the road to start the year. They beat the Memphis Grizzlies 138-122 on the road Saturday after being upset 106-102 by the New York Knicks the night before on home court. Mavericks SG Luka Doncic has led his team in scoring seven of nine games and each of the last five. Boston had four different leading scorers over its last four games.

Roll with the CELTICS (-167) as they go for eight in a row in their return home.
