Celtics: PG Marcus Smart (ankle) is on the injury report, but he is expected to play. SF Gordon Hayward (hand) remains out until late December.

Clippers: SF Kawhi Leonard (knee) is considered questionable, while PG Landry Shamet (ankle) is out indefinitely.

As long as Leonard is able to play in this game, I fully expect the Clippers (-238) to win this game. SF Paul George is back and doing the things the team expected him to do when he was added via trade in the offseason. The Celtics (+195) are a great play if Kawhi sits, although the number is likely to change dramatically if he is officially ruled out.

The Lakers have won four straight games and are 7-1 at home for the season. Additionally, they last played Sunday in a 122-101 win over the Atlanta Hawks. The have the skill, home and rest advantage over a Thunder squad now 0-5 on the road following Monday’s loss.

Line/Against the Spread (ATS)

The LAKERS (-10.5, -115) are 9-4 overall against the spread and 6-2 at home ATS. The Thunder are 8-5 overall and 3-2 on the road after covering Monday against the Clippers.

Los Angeles outscores its opponents 110.8-100.6 points per game with OKC losing by an average score of 105.8-105.6. The Thunder have played two back-to-backs so far this season and lost the second half each time.

The Thunder have a neutral point differential and play to an average scored of 107.1-107.1. Both teams were victorious their last time out, with the Clips beating the Atlanta Hawks 150-101 at home and the Thunder topping the Philadelphia 76ers 127-119 in overtime.

The home team will win this one whether or not Leonard and/or Beverley are active, but the -500 odds are far too chalky. Monitor this line as it will improve if the two players are ruled out, but the spread is the better play.

Phoenix has had a well-balanced offense of late with four different leading scorers over its last four games. Boston has had three different point leaders over its last four games. The Suns lead the league with a true shooting percentage of 59.3 as a team. The Celtics rank 15th at 56.2%.

BROOKLYN (-3.5, -115) will cover against the Pacers. The Nets can put up 120-plus points per game and the Pacers may not be able to keep up in the fourth quarter.
