Bengals agree to terms with free-agent CB Chidobe Awuzie

The Bengals have made another splash in free agency, agreeing to terms with former Cowboys cornerback Chidobe Awuzie.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported the news, citing the Bengals liking Awuzie’s athleticism and consistency as reasoning for the signing.
Awuzie, a second-round pick in 2017, graded at a 51.9 at Pro Football Focus last year, allowing 25 catches on 38 targets over eight games.
The defense was a disaster around him though, so 2019’s 72.2 grade over 16 games is a better indicator of what the Bengals are getting.
This signing would appear to mean the end of the William Jackson era in Cincinnati, as Awuzie is a boundary starter and the team still has to find a slot guy to replace Mackensie Alexander

Bengals agree to terms with free-agent DE Trey Hendrickson

It didn’t take long for the Bengals to find a fallback plan after losing Carl Lawson in free agency.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Bengals have agreed to terms with former Saints pass-rusher Trey Hendrickson. It’s a four-year deal worth $60 million.
Hendrickson, 26, was an unexpected breakout for the Saints last year with 13.5 sacks, posting a 72.1 PFF grade.
The Bengals figure to give Hendrickson an even bigger role right out of the gates. At this point, they don’t figure to be done trying to add pass-rushers either

Did Bengals’ website drop a hint about upcoming jersey redesign?

For now, the only thing Bengals fans know about the team’s redesigned jerseys is that the iconic striped helmet won’t change. Everything else seems up for grabs.
In a recent Q&A session over at Bengals.com though, Geoff Hobson might’ve let the smallest of details slip while fielding a question about whether he could reveal any insight about the jerseys.
The last thing they want me to do is to spoil the surprise, so I probably have more information about the 2022 Paris fall fashions. From what I hear, classic is good, Geoff Hobson.
Classic is indeed very, very good. In fact, one of the things we hammered home about the new jerseys right after the team announced they were doing them.
Again, this is a small, small morsel of potential detail and something to tide fans over until the team actually reveals the redesign.
Still, something is better than nothing during this quiet portion of the offseason

5 teams that could target Bengals DE Carl Lawson in free agency

Here are 5 teams that could target Bengals DE Carl Lawson in free agency.
Indianapolis Colts, The Colts are normally pretty frugal with their money, hence still sitting third with a projected $78.5 million in cap space.
Houston Texans, The Texans might be about $6.6 million over the cap right now but the whole conversation is going to change if Deshaun Watson and J.J. Watt end up leaving town.
Cleveland Browns, Given the dire state of the offensive line in Cincinnati, lining up across from Lawson twice a year probably wouldn’t be ideal.
Jacksonville Jaguars, Jacksonville leads the NFL in cap space at nearly $80 million and will fuel the rebuild around Trevor Lawrence on his rookie contract.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers, The Super Bowl champions have a top-six cap number and could end up losing Shaq Barrett
