Bellator 301 weigh-in results: Fighters on stacked main card hit marks in Chicago

Check out the results from the official Bellator 301 fighter weigh-ins in Chicago.

CHICAGO – MMA Junkie was on scene and reporting live from Thursday’s official Bellator 301 fighter weigh-ins, where all the main card fighters hit their marks.

In the main event, welterweight champion Yaroslav Amosov (27-0 MMA, 8-0 BMMA) takes on challenger Jason Jackson (16-4 MMA, 7-1 BMMA). The headliners were the first two to come to the scale and each weighed in under the title limit at 169.6 pounds.

In the co-feature, bantamweight champ Sergio Pettis (23-5 MMA, 5-0 BMMA) needed the towel, but was 135 pounds. Interim titleholder Patchy Mix (18-1 MMA, 7-1 BMMA) was over on his first attempt, but made 135 on his second try to make the title unification bout official.

Keri Melendez (5-0 MMA, 5-0 BMMA) missed the women’s flyweight limit on her first try at 127.2, but was given an additional hour to cut for her fight against Sabriye Sengul (3-3 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) on the prelims. And Islam Mamedov (22-3-1 MMA, 2-2 BMMA) was 0.4 pounds over for his 160-pound contract weight fight against Killys Mota (15-3 MMA, 4-2 BMMA), who was 160 on the button. Mamedov was given an additional hour to cut, as well, and was 159.4 on his second try.

The weigh-ins took place at the Bellator host hotel in Chicago. The nearby Wintrust Arena hosts Friday’s event, which has a main card with two title fights on Showtime following prelims on MMA Junkie.
