Something incredibly cool is brewing with the Denver Broncos

Check out the cool packaging for the Denver Broncos’ brew.

The Denver Broncos introduced the perfect game-day libation Sunday for those over 21.

Check out Broncos Country Hoppy Pale Ale:

The description:

Presented in a classic throwback can, this easy-drinking pale ale was brewed to celebrate the rich legacy of our home town hero Denver Broncos. We sourced all Colorado ingredients to craft a beer that showcases what it truly means to be in Broncos Country.

  • High Wire hops from the North Fork Valley impact a delicate citrus hop aroma
  • Locally sourced malts provide a light malty backbone that finished clean and dry

Broncos Country will be sold in 15-packs in stores and is also available for purchase on tap in bars and restaurants and at Empower Field at Mile High.

If you aren’t going to drink it, you might as well save the can and case. Talk about sweet-looking.

If it tastes half as good as it looks, then the Denver Broncos and their faithful have a winner to toast.

“As a Colorado-born & bred company of 30 years, Breckenridge Brewery feels a strong connection to Denver Broncos and their rich history, so we decided to pay homage to the iconic Broncos years with this vintage-inspired beer that has a classic Broncos look,” Todd Usry, President of Breckenridge Brewery, said.

Guinness is new official beer of Notre Dame football

Notre Dame football has a new official beer and it’s one that is truly a match made in heaven.

Peanut butter and jelly.

Macaroni and cheese.

Captain and Coke.

And now, Guinness beer and Notre Dame football.

Some things go together perfectly and Notre Dame’s new official beer does exactly that as earlier this week the pairing was announced.

From the official release on Wednesday:

While this may not be the launch moment we planned for, when a partnership nearly two centuries in the making comes together, it’s a reminder that history’s best teams are built over time. Guinness is proud to announce it is now a partner and Official Beer of Notre Dame Fighting Irish Alumni and Fans, a group that numbers well over 40 million across the U.S. Our seven-year partnership will unite two Irish institutions and bring to life new traditions, like raising a Guinness toast to honor the Irish faithful – whether you’re Irish by blood or in spirit.

The most famous NFL player to ever attend Notre Dame will serve as the ambassador as you may have seen this week, as Joe Montana gets that responsibility.

“As a former player and an alum, Notre Dame has always had a special place in my heart, and on a trip with my family to Ireland, I fell in love with Guinness. A perfect pint is lighter and more delicious than I ever imagined,” Montana said. “I also love that Guinness and Notre Dame have shared values – a respect for tradition, but also a relentless desire to win and a commitment to building an even better future.”

I didn’t know official beers were a thing for college football teams until this announcement was made and it’s about as obvious of sponsorship as you could ever put together. It’s just a shame Notre Dame’s trip to Ireland to play Navy was canceled and couldn’t end up being a part of things.

Eli Manning having a beer guy in every NFL stadium during his career is too good

“He had a guy in every f—ing stadium in the league to get him that beer.”

Eli Manning will likely suit up in a New York Giants uniform for the last time on Sunday when he will watch from the sideline as his team looks to play spoiler against the hated Philadelphia Eagles.

Manning has had quite a run during his 16 years as the leader of the Giants. He has two Super Bowls wins over Tom Brady, of course. He also became known for making weird faces during games that weren’t going well. And he also took a lot of heat over the years for throwing a lot of interceptions.

But you can’t deny that he did some great things during his time in New York.

Now we’re learning of another awesome thing he had going for him – apparently Eli had a beer guy in every NFL stadium that would hook him up with a 6-pack or a 12-pack after games so he could drink them in the back of the bus with other players and break down the game.

ESPN’s Ian O’Connor told that story in his great profile of Eli that came out today:

Eli Manning always drank beer on the team bus. It was a Broadway Joe kind of thing to do, and a fact that might run counter to an image Manning spent absolutely no time crafting. But win, lose or draw, Manning would find someone on the road to buy him a six-pack or 12-pack that he would carry to the back of the bus, on ice, and share with some veterans as they discussed the game on the ride to the airport.

Even then, Manning’s consistency stunned his New York Giants teammates. “It was unbelievable,” said Lawrence Tynes, the kicker who won two championships with the quarterback. “He had a guy in every f—ing stadium in the league to get him that beer.”

Now that is just too good. Well done, Eli.
