Our Bears Wire staff is taking a crack at predicting what Chicago does with its first-round selection, which includes trading up for a QB.

The Chicago Bears have a first-round selection for the first time in three years, which gives Chicago a real chance to address a position of need with the 20th overall pick. While sitting in the middle of the pack isn’t the most ideal scenario, it’s better than going three years without a first-round pick.

But what puts even more pressure on general manager Ryan Pace is that he’s hit on just one of four first-round picks — linebacker Roquan Smith. The others — Kevin White, Leonard Floyd and Mitchell Trubisky — didn’t pan out.
