Ravens heavy favorites to win Super Bowl LIV

The Baltimore Ravens have been dominant this season and currently host the best odds to win Super Bowl LIV, according to BetMGM

The Baltimore Ravens finished the 2019 regular season on a high note, winning their 12th consecutive game by beating the Pittsburgh Steelers. But in spite of their 14-2 record, all 12 teams in the postseason effectively start over at 0-0 now and the Ravens will have to prove their superiority in the playoffs.

However, thanks to their record and level of dominance over nearly every playoff team currently in the playoffs, oddsmakers are pegging them as the favorites to win Super Bowl LIV and hoist the Lombardi trophy.

According to BetMGM, the Ravens are +235 favorites, which is by far the best odds given to the 12 teams in the playoffs right now. That means if you were to place a $500 bet, you’d take home $1,675 total if Baltimore were to win the Super Bowl.

The next best set of odds goes to the San Francisco 49ers, who are +400. Behind the Ravens in the AFC is the Kansas City Chiefs at +450.

Baltimore took home the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoff picture which will give them a first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the postseason. They’ll take on the lowest remaining seed from the wild-card round. A win there would put them in the AFC championship game with the winner going to Super Bowl LIV to take on the NFC’s best team.

With each win, the Ravens’ odds are likely going to get worse for bettors. So, if you’re interested in putting down some cash on Baltimore, now would be the time to do it.

NFL odds: Ravens biggest early favorites over Jets in Week 15

The Baltimore Ravens hold the biggest NFL odds spread in Week 15 when they take on the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football.

The Baltimore Ravens sit at 11-2 while the New York Jets are 5-8. Given the disparity in talent and how they’ve looked this season, it should be no surprise that oddsmakers are expecting the Ravens to win and by big. But as we enter Week 15 and Baltimore is set to host New York on Thursday night, it’s still a little shocking just how big of an odds favorite the Ravens are.

According to BetMGM, Baltimore is currently listed as 14.5-point favorites over the Jets. It’s the largest spread of the week by a whopping three points and one that’s sure to see plenty of betting action.

While it might seem like a lofty spread, oddsmakers didn’t get there with no evidence. Even counting in these last two close games, the Ravens have blown opponents out of the water since Week 7, outscoring them 246-96 over seven games (35.1-13.7 average).

Meanwhile, the Jets have won just five games this season and recently choked against the 1-11 Cincinnati Bengals and barely split their two games against the Miami Dolphins. New York has the second-worst offense and the 18th-ranked defense in points allowed.

By all history and current stats, this should be yet another blowout win for Baltimore. But as we’ve seen before, nothing in the NFL is guaranteed until it happens and overlooking an opponent before two games against division rivals would be on-brand for the Ravens. So take caution if you’re the betting type and looking at the huge spread.

Ravens vs. Bills: ATS pick, props and betting preview for Week 14

The Baltimore Ravens take on the Buffalo Bills in Week 14 of the NFL. Here are our ATS pick and other bets to take in this game.

The Baltimore Ravens enter Week 14 on an eight-game winning streak when they take on the Buffalo Bills. As has been the case for the Ravens a lot in recent weeks, it is another potential playoff preview with implications on what seeds teams could get.

Baltimore is 10-2 on the season, but for some people out there, the record is irrelevant. Some want to know one thing, and one thing only: are the Ravens covering the spread this week?

While not still legal yet in Maryland, sports betting is big in the NFL. Whether it’s fantasy football, betting the spread or the over/under on how many rushing yards for Lamar Jackson, a ton of money is being wagered on football.

So who to ask about your picks than the guys who follow the Ravens most? Each week, we’ll give an against the spread (ATS) pick, as well as some game props for the game. Continue on for the best bets of Week 14 against the Bills.

ATS Pick: Ravens -5.5

One would think it is hard to bet against Buffalo with Bills Mafia behind them, but all three games they did not cover were at home. Two of those games really stick out as they failed to go over the spread against the Bengals and Dolphins. The Bills are 8-3-1 ATS on the season.

Baltimore is 6-5-1 ATS after failing to cover the same spread against the 49ers. They had covered five straight games leading up to last week, which is no surprise considering how they have been blowing out teams recently.

The key in this game is the Ravens are also a covering machine on the road. Baltimore is 4-1 ATS on the road this season and 14-5 ATS away from home over the last three seasons. Buffalo is not the team to slow down this train if history is our example.

NFL odds: Ravens big early favorites over 49ers for Week 13

The Baltimore Ravens are 5.5-point favorites over the San Francisco 49ers, and even that looks like a safe bet with how well they’ve played.

Few expected the Baltimore Ravens to dominate the Los Angeles Rams like that. Baltimore was a 3.5-point favorite against Los Angeles for Week 12, only to spank them 45-6. With the San Francisco 49ers coming to town in Week 13, oddsmakers are giving the Ravens a bigger spread to work with.

According to BetMGM, the Ravens are 5.5-point favorites over the 49ers. Given how Baltimore has handled their business since Week 7, even that lofty spread over the best team in the NFC seems like a solid bet. Over the last five games, the Ravens have beaten their opponents 202-62 and are actually getting even better with each week.

The last game Baltimore had a smaller margin of victory than the 5.5-point spread currently offered this week was way back in Week 5, an overtime win against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Keep in mind the Ravens have since added several impact defensive players, including trading for cornerback Marcus Peters. They’ve also since blown out four playoff-caliber teams in their seven-game winning streak.

With the 49ers set to travel across the country three days after Thanksgiving, and with kickoff at 10 a.m. PT, everything appears to be in the Ravens’ favor here. So if you’re looking to place down some money on a game this week, Baltimore looks like a pretty safe bet to cover even a larger spread.

NFL odds: Ravens odds favorites over Rams for Week 12

The Baltimore Ravens are once again NFL odds favorites this week as they’re set to take on the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football

The Baltimore Ravens have been playing phenomenal football over the last few weeks. Dominating playoff-caliber teams, the Ravens are currently considered to be the best team in the league. In spite of getting another tough test in the Los Angeles Rams — Super Bowl LIII losers — oddsmakers are still backing Baltimore pretty hard in Week 12.

According to BetMGM, the Ravens are 3.5-point favorites over the Rams. Home teams are typically automatically given three points to compensate for the effect travel and the crowd can play on a game, meaning oddsmakers actually expect Baltimore to win by even more if played in a neutral stadium. That’s for good reason as well.

The Ravens hold the No. 1 offense under quarterback Lamar Jackson and their unique, pick-your-poison scheme. And since Week 7, when they traded for Rams cornerback Marcus Peters, Baltimore has had the No. 1 defense in DVOA. They’ve been scoring points, seemingly at will, on both sides of the football en route to big wins over some of the best teams in the league. The Ravens have won by at least six points in their last five games, with four having a margin of victory of at least 14 points.

While Los Angeles is a very talented team in their own right — holding the No. 13 offense and No. 10 defense entering Week 12 — they seem to just be another in the way of the Ravens’ great season.

NFL odds: Ravens early favorites over Texans in Week 11

After destroying the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 10, the Ravens open Week 11 as early favorites over the Houston Texans.

[jwplayer rzKgNnfu-ThvAeFxT]

The Baltimore Ravens have been on a roll, winning five straight games to improve to 7-2. They sit atop the AFC North standings and are the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoff picture. But they’ll enter the toughest stretch of their schedule, battling against three teams also vying for playoff contention. Yet, with the way they’ve been winning, NFL oddsmakers are feeling pretty confident about another Baltimore victory in Week 11.

According to BetMGM, the Ravens are 4.5-point favorites over the Houston Texans this week.

Baltimore is fresh off perhaps their best win of the season, scoring five touchdowns on offense and another two on defense in a 49-13 rout of the Cincinnati Bengals. After Baltimore dismantled the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks in their previous two games, it seems hard to bet against the surging Ravens right now.

While the Texans sit at 6-3 and feature the No. 4-ranked offense, they haven’t been dominant this season. Houston’s defense has allowed plenty of teams to hang in games, something that could be a real problem against a Baltimore offense that is putting up the second-most yards and the most points in the league. During their five-game winning streak, the Ravens have outscored opponents 165-89 with just one of those games having a margin of victory less than the current spread for Week 11.

The Ravens will also host this game, which carries quite a bit of weight as well. Since the start of the 2016 season, Baltimore is 20-8 at M&T Bank Stadium in spite of going 34-23 in total over that span.

It all equals Houston’s toughest game of the season and a prime bet on the Ravens.
