The RAYS -1.5 (+100) is a good bet against the Orioles as Akin has been serving up batting practice lately for all intents and purposes. Tampa Bay will score early and often and cover the run line in the series finale. We should see a result similar to the 9-3 beating the Rays put on the O’s Tuesday.
Over/Under (O/U)
The Over cashed in Tuesday’s lopsided affair and you can expect another rout in Wednesday’s matinee. The only concern here is that the teams just played an evening game, and the bats could be quiet for the road team. However, the home side should enjoy plenty of success against Akin and his 12.21 ERA across his past six appearances.
