Baltimore Orioles at Houston Astros odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Tuesday’s Baltimore Orioles at Houston Astros odds and lines, with MLB picks and predictions.

The Baltimore Orioles (25-54) and Houston Astros (48-31) play the second game of a three-game set Tuesday with an 8:10 p.m. ET first pitch at Minute Maid Park. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook‘s lines around the Orioles vs. Astros odds with MLB picks and predictions.

RHP Travis Lakins is the projected starting pitcher for the Orioles. He is 1-4 with a 5.81 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, 8.2 K/9 and 4.8 BB/9 over 26 1/3 IP spanning 23 relief appearances.

The Orioles will have a “bullpen game” Tuesday, so the visitors will use the opener, and then rely on the ‘pen. Baltimore’s bullpen has posted an ERA of 4.95 with a 1.39 WHIP. The ERA ranks second-to-last in the American League.

RHP Jose Urquidy is the projected starting pitcher for the Astros. He is 6-3 with a 3.32 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, 7.8 K/9 and 1.5 BB/9 through 76 IP over 13 starts.

Urquidy twirled 7 scoreless innings with just 3 hits and 1 walk allowed in a win Wednesday in Baltimore for his second consecutive victory. He didn’t allow a home run in either of his last two starts.

Orioles at Astros odds, lines, picks and prediction

MLB odds courtesy of BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports for a full list. Odds last updated at 12:55 p.m. ET.

  • Money line: Orioles +275 (bet $100 to win $275) | Astros -350 (bet $350 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Orioles +2.5 (+100) | Astros -2.5 (-120)
  • Over/Under: 9.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Prediction

Astros 9, Orioles 3

Money line (ML)

The Astros (-350) are heavily favored for the second straight day. They were dropped 9-7 in the series opener, serving as a cautionary tale why you should never bet heavy, heavy favorites. Even when it looks like a sure-fire play, it’s not a guarantee.

AVOID.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

The ASTROS -2.5 (-120) never came close to covering the run line in the series opener, and they should be as angry as hornets looking for the bounce-back game Tuesday.

Over/Under (O/U)

The OVER 9.5 (-110) is the lean here, as the O’s bullpen will be expected to do some heavy lifting, and that’s never a good thing. Baltimore’s ‘pen is horrendous, and the Houston bats should score early and often.

Baltimore Orioles at Houston Astros odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Monday’s Baltimore Orioles at Houston Astros odds and lines, with MLB picks and predictions.

The Baltimore Orioles (24-54) and Houston Astros (48-30) play the first game of a three-game set Monday with an 8:10 p.m. ET first pitch at Minute Maid Park. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook‘s lines around the Orioles vs. Astros odds with MLB picks and predictions.

RHP Thomas Eshelman is the projected starting pitcher for the Orioles. He is 0-1 with a 7.27 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, 4.2 K/9 and 2.1 BB/9 in 8 2/3 IP over 2 starts.

Eshelman faced the Astros at Camden Yards Wednesday, and it wasn’t good. He coughed up six earned runs, eight hits and a walk in just four innings in a 13-0 loss.

RHP Zack Greinke is the projected starting pitcher for the Astros. He is 8-2 with a 3.56 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, 6.4 K/9 and 1.8 BB/9 in 98 2/3 IP over 16 starts.

Greinke was super against the O’s in Baltimore Tuesday allowing just one run, five hits and a walk in 7 1/3 innings to win his fourth straight decision in the past five starts.

  • Money line: Orioles +240 (bet $100 to win $240) | Astros -300 (bet $300 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Orioles +2.5 (-115) | Astros -2.5 (-105)
  • Over/Under: 9.5 (O: -105 | U: -115)

Prediction

Astros 8, Orioles 2

Money line (ML)

The Astros (-300) will cost you three times your potential return. No self-respecting bettor can lay that kind of cheese. Over the long term it’s a losing betting strategy, too.

AVOID.

FANTASY BASEBALL: Serious about winning your league? Sign up for BaseballHQ.com to dominate the competition. Subscribe now!

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

The ASTROS -2.5 (-105) are a much-better play laying the two-and-a-half runs. Houston tuned up Baltimore in a three-game sweep at Camden Yards last week outscoring the O’s 26-3. Playing the alternate winning margin line of ASTROS BY 4 RUNS OR MORE (+135) is also worth a roll of the dice.

Over/Under (O/U)

The OVER 9.5 (-105) is the lean here based on Houston’s performance last week against Baltimore pitching. Eshelman was smacked around by the Astros Wednesday, and there is no reason to believe he’ll keep them down here. Houston has the potential to roll up double digits all on their own.

Baltimore Orioles at Toronto Blue Jays odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Friday’s Baltimore Orioles at Toronto Blue Jays odds and lines, with MLB picks and predictions.

The Toronto Blue Jays (38-35) play the second game of their four-game set against the Baltimore Orioles (23-52) Friday at their temporary home of Sahlen Field in Buffalo, N.Y. First pitch is set for 7:07 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook‘s lines around the Orioles vs. Blue Jays odds with MLB picks and predictions.

Blue Jays RHP Alek Manoah (1-0, 4.18 ERA) makes the sixth start of his rookie season. He has a 1.14 WHIP, 10.3 K/9 and 3.4 BB/9 with 7 home runs surrendered over 23 2/3 innings.

  • Has been roughed up and failed to make it out of the fourth inning in two of his five outings, including Saturday against the Orioles
  • Manoah was suspended five games for hitting Orioles 3B Maikel Franco in that last outing but is appealing the ruling

Orioles RHP Matt Harvey (3-9, 7.80 ERA) makes his 16th start. He enters Friday with a 1.78 WHIP, 7.7 K/9 and 3.2 BB/9 through 62 1/3 innings.

  • Has given up just 10 home runs through 15 starts, but his rates of hard contact and fly balls are both above league average, and he has allowed an AL-high 54 earned runs
  • Faced the Blue Jays Sunday and allowed 4 ER over 4 1/3 IP; it was his longest outing in his last five games

MLB betting offers/promotions

BetMGM Sportsbook offers available in CO, IA, IN, MI, NJ, PA, TN, VA, WV and Washington D.C. New customer offers, terms and conditions apply.

Orioles at Blue Jays odds, lines, picks and prediction

MLB odds courtesy of BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports for a full list. Odds last updated at 9:35 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Orioles +190 (bet $100 to win $190) | Blue Jays -250 (bet $250 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Orioles +1.5 (+105) | Blue Jays -1.5 (-130)
  • Over/Under: 10.5 (O: -115 | U: -105)

Prediction

Blue Jays 8, Orioles 4

Money line (ML)

The Blue Jays picked up a fifth straight victory Thursday with a 9-0 domination of the O’s. They chased Orioles RHP Dean Kremer with 6 runs in the first inning and got 7 2/3 innings against the Baltimore bullpen.

Manoah struggled against the Orioles last weekend but still has a sizable advantage in the starting pitching matchup against Harvey. The Toronto bullpen is better rested and has been much improved of late with a 10th-ranked 4.13 xFIP over the last 14 days.

Still, we need to PASS at the steep -250 price point for the outright win. There’s better value to be had on the spread.

FANTASY BASEBALL: Serious about winning your league? Sign up for BaseballHQ.com to dominate the competition. Subscribe now!

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

The BLUE JAYS -1.5 (-130) should be backed to win by at least 2 runs. They’re second in MLB with a .776 team OPS against right-handed pitching, while the Orioles are 29th in the split with a rate of .654.

The Baltimore bullpen has also been worked for a total of 55 1/3 innings over the last 14 days and has a 4.35 xFIP over that time. Unless Harvey can turn back the clock, Toronto should win its fourth straight game against Baltimore by a multi-run margin.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 10.5 (-115) is a strong play while leaning into the vig for the most likely result as viewed by BetMGM.

The Jays will provide the bulk of the run support, but the O’s hit Manoah well a week ago and should get on the board after being held to a single run over their last three games.

Houston Astros at Baltimore Orioles odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Wednesday’s Houston Astros at Baltimore Orioles odds and lines, with MLB picks and predictions.

The Houston Astros (45-28) will go for the sweep of their three-game series against the Baltimore Orioles (23-50) Wednesday. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. ET from Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook‘s lines around the Astros vs. Orioles odds with MLB picks and predictions.

RHP Jose Urquidy is the projected starting pitcher for the Astros. He is 5-3 with a 3.65 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, 7.8 K/9 and 1.6 BB/9 in 69 IP over 12 starts.

Urquidy has won four of his last seven starts, allowing more than three runs in that span just once. He has 7 IP in each of his last two starts, allowing a total of 5 ER while picking up 13 K. He has never faced the Orioles in his career.

RHP Thomas Eshelman is the projected starting pitcher for the Orioles. He is 0-0 with a 1.93 ERA. This season he has just one appearance, a June 18 start against Toronto, where he allowed 1 ER on 3 H and 1 BB with 3 K across 4 2/3 IP.

In his career against the Astros, he has pitched just 2/3 of an inning and gave up one hit but no runs.

MLB betting offers/promotions

BetMGM Sportsbook offers available in CO, IA, IN, MI, NJ, PA, TN, VA, WV and Washington D.C. New customer offers, terms and conditions apply.

Astros at Orioles odds, lines, picks and prediction

MLB odds courtesy of BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports for a full list. Odds last updated at 10:25 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Astros -200 (bet $200 to win $100) | Orioles +165 (bet $100 to win $165)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Astros -1.5 (-125) | Orioles +1.5 (+105)
  • Over/Under: 9.5 (O: -115 | U: -105)

Prediction

Astros 7, Orioles 3

Money line (ML)

The bullpen will play a big role in this game for the Orioles with Eshelman getting the start, which doesn’t bode well for Baltimore. The Astros have won seven of Urquidy’s last eight starts and have averaged 7 runs per game in that span.

However, with the money line as chalky as it is, I would PASS and instead bet on the spread.

FANTASY BASEBALL: Serious about winning your league? Sign up for BaseballHQ.com to dominate the competition. Subscribe now!

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

The Astros have covered the spread in seven of their last eight games when Urquidy starts, a trend that I think will continue on Wednesday night. He should be good for at least six or seven innings against a weaker Orioles lineup.

I like the ASTROS -1.5 (-125) tonight on the road.

Over/Under (O/U)

The total surprisingly went Under on Tuesday night when the Astros beat the Orioles 3-1. It was a strong pitching night for both sides, but Houston should bounce back with a better performance at the plate. The last two times they scored three or fewer runs in a game they came back with 14 runs and 7 runs scored the following day.

Bet the OVER 9.5 (-115) and hope the Astros carry the bulk of the weight by tagging Eshelman for a bunch of runs.

Houston Astros at Baltimore Orioles odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Tuesday’s Houston Astros at Baltimore Orioles odds and lines, with MLB picks and predictions.

The Houston Astros (44-28) and Baltimore Orioles (23-49) will continue their three-game series on Tuesday night, with first pitch from Camden Yards coming at 7:05 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook‘s lines around the Astros vs. Orioles odds with MLB picks and predictions.

RHP Zack Greinke is the projected starting pitcher for the Astros. He is 7-2 with a 3.74 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, 6.5 K/9 and 1.9 BB/9 in 91 1/3 IP over 15 starts.

In his last six starts, Greinke has three outings of at least eight innings with only one earned run allowed.

However, in his last two starts, he only pitched 8 2/3 innings combined and allowed seven total runs with just six strikeouts. In his career against the Orioles, he is 2-2 with a 5.32 ERA in nine games (seven starts).

RHP Jorge Lopez is the projected starting pitcher for the Orioles. He is 2-8 with a 5.95 ERA, 1.49 WHIP, 9.0 K/9 and 3.7 BB/9 in 65 IP over 14 starts.

The Orioles have lost six of Lopez’s last seven starts, as he’s allowed at least three runs in five of those seven games.

He hasn’t pitched more than five innings in any of his last three outings and has just three starts this season of more than five innings. In his one career start against the Astros, Lopez allowed six runs in 2 1/3 innings.

Houston Astros at Baltimore Orioles odds, lines, picks and prediction

MLB odds courtesy of BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports for a full list. Odds last updated at 10:48 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Astros -200 (bet $200 to win $100) | Orioles +165 (bet $100 to win $165)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Astros -1.5 (-125) | Orioles +1.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 9.5 (O: +100 | U: -120)

Prediction

Astros 7, Orioles 4

Money line (ML)

The Astros have been on a tear lately, winning their last eight games. The Orioles are trending in the opposite direction, dropping nine of their last 10, including their last three. They were crushed by Houston on Monday night, 10-2, and I think the Astros will take Game 2, as well.

Houston isn’t a great value on the money line, but make a small wager on the ASTROS (-200) to win outright.

FANTASY BASEBALL: Serious about winning your league? Sign up for BaseballHQ.com to dominate the competition. Subscribe now!

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

This is where you’ll find more upside with Houston. Eight of their last nine wins have come by at least two runs, going 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games.

Baltimore is just 4-6 ATS in that same span, which makes this a very clear trend. I like the ASTROS -1.5 (-125) to cover the spread and win fairly easily on the road with Greinke taking the mound.

Over/Under (O/U)

The Over/Under is 9.5 runs tonight, and both of these teams have been hitting the Over pretty consistently. The total has gone Over in seven of Houston’s last eight, and in six of the Orioles’ last seven.

Bet the OVER 9.5 (+100) tonight, especially with Lopez on the mound for Baltimore.

Houston Astros at Baltimore Orioles odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Monday’s Houston Astros at Baltimore Orioles odds and lines, with MLB picks and predictions.

The Houston Astros (43-28) and Baltimore Orioles (23-48) open a three-game series Monday at 7:05 p.m. ET at Camden Yards. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook‘s lines around the Astros vs. Orioles odds with MLB picks and predictions.

RHP Jake Odorizzi is the projected starting pitcher for the Astros. He is 1-3 with a 5.68 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 9.2 K/9 and 2.8 BB/9 over 25 1/3 IP spanning seven games (six starts).

Odorizzi tossed 4 scoreless innings of bulk relief in his last outing, Tuesday against the Texas Rangers.

LHP Keegan Akin is the projected starter for the Orioles. He is 0-2 with a 5.76 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, 8.2 K/9 and 3.0 BB/9 in 29 2/3 IP over eight games (four starts).

Akin is making his fifth straight appearance as a starter. He coughed up 8 ER on 8 H and 3 BB in his last outing with 5 2/3 IP against the Cleveland Indians Wednesday.

Astros at Orioles odds, lines, picks and prediction

MLB odds courtesy of BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports for a full list. Odds last updated at 10:40 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Astros -160 (bet $160 to win $100) | Orioles +130 (bet $100 to win $130)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Astros -1.5 (-110) |  Orioles +1.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: 10.5 (O: -115 | U: -105)

Prediction

Astros 6, Orioles 4

Money line (ML)

The Astros head into this series on a seven-game win streak. The Houston offense has fueled the club going 16-4 over the last 20 games. Over that stretch, the Astros have averaged 6.65 runs per game on the strength of a .905 OPS.

Baltimore lost two of three games in a home series against the Toronto Blue Jays. Orioles pitching was tagged for 17 runs over the last two games of that series, and Baltimore now owns a 6.96 ERA since June 5.

The Houston offense leads the league with an .804 road OPS, but despite being plus-50 in run differential, the Astros are just 17-15 over 32 road tilts. The Astros are at their best against lefties and so are the Orioles. Tag the visitors with an advantage in the platoon category in Monday’s pitching matchup.

Both starting pitchers figure as better than what’s indicated by their surface ERAs. Odorizzi in particular has been hurt by a low 60.9% strand rate when runners are on base.

HOUSTON (-160) offers decent value.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

The run-line odds bring this game into pick ’em territory. On a warm, humid evening with a breeze out to right-center field, and with a projected run total of 10.5, peg the ASTROS -1.5 (-110) as having enough value to include in a mix with the above ML play.

Example: 3/4-unit ML, 1/4-unit run line on the conservative side; 1/4-unit ML, 3/4-unit run line on the aggressive side,

Over/Under (O/U)

PASS on a well-made total.

Baltimore Orioles at Cleveland Indians odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Tuesday’s Baltimore Orioles at Cleveland Indians odds and lines, with MLB picks and predictions.

The Baltimore Orioles (22-43) and Cleveland Indians (35-28) play the second of a four-game set Tuesday at 7:10 p.m. ET at Progressive Field. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook‘s lines around the Orioles vs. Indians odds with MLB picks and predictions.

RHP Matt Harvey is the projected starting pitcher for the Orioles. He is 3-7 with a 7.41 ERA, 1.68 WHIP, 7.7 K/9 and 3.0 BB/9 in 54 2/3 IP over 13 starts.

Harvey was hammered last time out for seven earned runs, eight hits and a walk across three innings. He has lost six straight decisions since May 1 across his past seven starts.

RHP Cal Quantrill is the projected starting pitcher for the Indians. He is 0-2 with a 3.21 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, 7.5 K/9 and 3.2 BB/9 in 33 2/3 IP over 2 starts and 18 relief appearances.

Quantrill has just two starts, but one of them came against the O’s in Baltimore. He was smashed for seven runs (five earned) and five hits while retiring just four batters in a loss June 6.

Orioles at Indians odds, lines, picks and prediction

MLB odds courtesy of BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports for a full list. Odds last updated at 7:10 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Orioles +135 (bet $100 to win $135) | Indians -160 (bet $160 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Orioles +1.5 (-145) | Indians -1.5 (+120)
  • Over/Under: 8.5 (O: -120 | U: +100)

Prediction

Indians 8, Orioles 4

Money line (ML)

INDIANS (-160) is the play here at home as they look to win for the second time in as many nights against the Orioles (+135). Cleveland sent Baltimore to its fifth straight loss, but the Indians are still just 2-2 against the Orioles this season.

Cleveland is the play there, though, as Harvey has been atrocious. He was crushed by his former team, the New York Mets, last time out, and the O’s are 1-6 across his past seven appearances.

FANTASY BASEBALL: Serious about winning your league? Sign up for BaseballHQ.com to dominate the competition. Subscribe now!

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

The INDIANS -1.5 (+120) are worth playing at home as they look to keep Harvey down. The Orioles +1.5 (-145) pitchers have coughed up five or more runs in five of the past six outings.

Over/Under (O/U)

The OVER 8.5 (-120) is the play as Quantrill was smashed by the Orioles in his most recent start, and we touched on Harvey and his struggles above. The Over is the best play on the board in this game.

Baltimore Orioles at Tampa Bay Rays odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Baltimore Orioles at Tampa Bay Rays odds and lines, with MLB picks and predictions.

The Baltimore Orioles (22-40) and Tampa Bay Rays (40-24) play the second of a three-game set at Tropicana Field with a 4:10 p.m. ET first pitch. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook‘s lines around the Orioles vs. Rays odds with MLB picks and predictions.

RHP Jorge Perez is the projected starting pitcher for the Orioles. He is 2-6 with a 5.30 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, 8.7 K/9 and 4.0 BB/9 over 56 IP through 12 starts.

Perez allowed three earned runs, four hits and three walks across five innings in a victory against the Indians on Sunday. It was his first outing in three tries without a quality start, but the O’s backed him and the bullpen with 18 runs.

LHP Rich Hill is the projected starting pitcher for the Rays. He is 5-2 with a 3.05 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, 9.2 K/9 and 2.9 BB/9 over 62 IP through 12 starts.

Hill has won each of his past two starts while tossing 10 scoreless innings. He has also won four of his previous five outings. The last time he faced the Orioles in Baltimore, he allowed one run in six innings in a win May 20.

Orioles at Rays odds, lines, picks and prediction

MLB odds courtesy of BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports for a full list. Odds last updated at 7:10 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Orioles +180 (bet $100 to win $180) | Rays -225 (bet $225 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Orioles +1.5 (-115) | Rays -1.5 (-105)
  • Over/Under: 7.5 (Over -110 | Under -110)

Prediction

Rays 6, Orioles 2

Money line (ML)

The Rays (-225) will cost you more than two times your potential return against the Orioles (+180). Betting MLB and being successful has a lot to do with pitching matchups, and this one is heavily skewed in favor of the home side.

AVOID, and look to the run line instead.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

The RAYS -1.5 (-105) are a much better play on the run line at near even money. Tampa doubled up the Orioles +1.5 (-115), covering the run line in the opener Friday.

The Rays also swept a three-game set at Camden Yards May 18-20, outscoring the O’s 32-14 while covering the run line in each of those outings, too. That includes a 10-1 win behind Hill on May 20.

Over/Under (O/U)

The OVER 7.5 (-110) is the lean here, but it’s only worth a small-unit play. Tampa should be able to roll up enough offense against Lopez, but Baltimore will struggle against the southpaw.

New York Yankees at Baltimore Orioles odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Friday’s New York Yankees at Baltimore Orioles odds and lines, with MLB picks and predictions.

The New York Yankees (20-17) and Baltimore Orioles (16-21) open a three-game series at Camden Yards Friday night at 7:05 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook‘s lines around the Yankees vs. Orioles odds with MLB picks and predictions.

RHP Corey Kluber is the projected starting pitcher for the Yankees. He is 2-2 with a 3.06 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, 8.9 K/9 and 4.3 BB/9 through 35 1/3 IP over 7 starts.

Kluber heads into this road start having yielded just 3 ER over his last 20 1/3 IP. In a small sample, current Baltimore batters own a .462 OPS against him.

RHP Dean Kremer is the projected starter for the Orioles. He is 0-3 with a 6.23 ERA, 1.54 WHIP, 8.7 K/9 and 3.1 BB/9 in 26 IP over 6 starts.

Kremer has twice been pounded by the Yankees this season with a combined 9 ER on 15 hits over 7 1/3 IP.

Yankees at Orioles odds, lines, picks and prediction

MLB odds courtesy of BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports for a full list. Odds last updated at 9:10 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Yankees -200 (bet $200 to win $100) | Orioles +165 (bet $100 to win $165)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Yankees -1.5 (-125) |  Orioles +1.5 (+105)
  • Over/Under: 9 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Prediction

Yankees 6, Orioles 5

Money line (ML)

Looking at Statcast batted-ball data, peg Kluber as being somewhat fortunate thus far and Kremer with a lean the other way, toward being a tad unlucky.

Still, the Yankees have an offense with a lot of growth potential. A .227 batting average on balls in play in inning lead-off situations has minimized the traffic in front of a collection of hitters that could average over 5 runs per game (current 3.9 RPG). New York also owns the better bullpen.

An acceptable price on the Orioles looks to be pushed too low by the juice  but peg the ORIOLES (+165) as a slight lean.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

ORIOLES +1.5 (+105) may be more palatable for bettors not finding enough value on the money line.

A likable Over takes a bit of steam out of that play as well.

Over/Under (O/U)

The top play for this series opener is the OVER 9 (-110). This is a play on both offenses, to an extent, and a serious fade of a Baltimore bullpen that owns an unsupportable 3.39 ERA on the season.

O’s relievers have benefited from a .247 BABIP and things have already started to swing against this bunch: Baltimore relievers own a 4.97 ERA this month.

Baltimore Orioles at Seattle Mariners odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Monday’s Baltimore Orioles at Seattle Mariners odds and lines, with MLB picks and predictions.

The Baltimore Orioles (13-15) and Seattle Mariners (16-13) play the opener of a three-game set Monday at T-Mobile Park with a 10:10 p.m. ET first pitch. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook‘s lines around the Orioles vs. Mariners odds with MLB picks and predictions.

RHP Dean Kremer is the projected starting pitcher for the Orioles. He is 0-2 with an 8.40 ERA, 2.00 WHIP, 10.8 K/9 and 3.6 BB/9 over 15 IP through 4 starts.

Kremer was hammered for 6 earned runs on 10 hits in just 4 1/3 innings in a loss against the New York Yankees last time out. He has served up 4 homers this season.

RHP Erik Swanson is the projected starting pitcher for the Mariners. He allowed no hits with just 1 walk and 1 strikeout in 2 innings out of the bullpen in his lone MLB appearance this season.

Swanson is expected to head up a bullpen game for the M’s. They’re in dire straits as they look to replace injured starters Marco Gonzalez, Nick Margevicius and James Paxton. RHP Robert Dugger also should eat some innings Monday.

Orioles at Mariners odds, lines, picks and prediction

MLB odds courtesy of BetMGM; access USA TODAY Sports for a full list. Odds last updated at 10:55 a.m. ET.

  • Money line: Orioles +115 (bet $100 to win $115) | Mariners -130 (bet $130 to win $100)
  • Against the spread/ATS: Orioles +1.5 (-175) | Mariners -1.5 (+145)
  • Over/Under: 8 (Over -115 | Under -105)

Prediction

Mariners 7, Orioles 6

Money line (ML)

The MARINERS (-130) are the play, even though they’re expected to have a bullpen game. Even so, Kremer has been super shaky and the Seattle offense should pile up plenty of runs against him.

FANTASY BASEBALL: Serious about winning your league? Sign up for BaseballHQ.com to dominate the competition. Subscribe now!

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

The Mariners -1.5 (+145) are a risky play with a series of unheralded pitchers expected to toe the slab.

Just play the money line and AVOID laying the run and a half.

Over/Under (O/U)

The OVER 8 (-115) is the best play on the board. Kremer has served up at least one home run in three of his four starts. The Orioles should be able to get to the Mariners, who will be using a series of pitchers in a bullpen game. This one should see plenty of offense.
