Rutgers may have lost on Saturday at then No. 19 Michigan but the Scarlet Knights seemed to have gained some respect in the 20-13 defeat. So much so that the ‘B1G Tailgate’ is coming to town this weekend.
SHI Stadium will be the host venue this Saturday for the Big Ten Network’s tailgate show. The live show, always animated and informative, features host Dave Revsine as well as Gerry DiNardo, Howard Griffith and Joshua Perry. Rutgers is now the fourth venue for the show this year.
For Week 1, the ‘B1G Tailgate’ was at Kinnick Stadium when Iowa hosted Indiana. It then made subsequent stops at Michigan State (vs. Youngstown State), Michigan (vs. Northern Illinois), and then last week at Penn State (vs. Villanova).
The home team has won all four of the aforementioned games this season.

It will be a tall task for Rutgers to continue that trend and make it five in a row for home teams featured on the ‘B1G Tailgate.’ Ohio State comes into the game No. 10 in the latest USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll and thoroughly dismantled Akron this past Saturday. The Scarlet Knights will face a total of six teams either ranked or receiving votes in the coming weeks.
Rutgers is now 3-1 following Saturday’s loss. Michigan moved up five spots to No. 14 in the latest USA TODAY poll with the win.
