OT Blake Fisher Will Sign National Letter of Intent With Notre Dame

For some time now, offensive tackle recruit Blake Fisher has been a Notre Dame commit. However, he never has put pen to paper. That might have made some Irish fans nervous, especially when he entertained an offer from USC over the summer. Fortunately, any lingering doubts that he’s coming to South Bend will be put to rest Wednesday:

Fisher, who hails from Avon High School west of Indianapolis, is a four-star recruit in the class of 2021. Had a pandemic not been ongoing, he would have taken part in the All-American Bowl. Though that game won’t be taking place, he still earned the honor of having a recent piece put together:

Fisher was one of 11 offensive linemen to make Indiana’s Top 50 all-state team. He also won the Mr. Football award for the offensive line position. With accolades like that, there’s little question that whenever he gets his opportunity with the Irish, he will be a nightmare for opposing defensive linemen. Notre Dame definitely got a winner here.

Notre Dame Football: Blake Fisher “Can’t Wait” for Visit This Weekend

Fisher chose Notre Dame over the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Michigan and Wisconsin among plenty of other collegiate powerhouses that offered him a scholarship.

Tuesday it was announced by Rivals in their new top-100 rankings that five Notre Dame players were on the list, tied with only Ohio State for the most by any school in the nation.

The highest ranked player on that list for Notre Dame checked in at 18, offensive tackle Blake Fisher of Avon, Indiana.

Fisher let it be known on Twitter on Wednesday that he’ll be back on campus this weekend.

Rivals ranks Fisher as not only the 18th best player in next year’s recruiting class but the top overall player in Indiana next season and the fourth highest offensive tackle in the entire country.

Fisher chose Notre Dame over the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Michigan and Wisconsin among plenty of other collegiate powerhouses that offered him a scholarship.  As you can probably guess, Fisher looks like an alien compared to the other high-schoolers in his highlight tape, one that you can see right here:
