Auburn will be well-represented at Alabama-Mississippi all-star game

This season’s game at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile will be must-see entertainment for Auburn fans.

This year’s Alabama-Mississippi all-star game will be a must-see affair for Auburn fans.

The game, which will be played at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile on Dec. 14, features 10 commitments to Auburn’s 2025 recruiting class, as well as a myriad of targets.

Auburn’s five-star commits, EDGE Jared Smith and defensive lineman Malik Autry, headline the Tigers’ representation in the game. Smith is the No. 2 overall recruit from Alabama out of Thompson High School in Alabaster while Opelika High School’s Autry is behind him at No. 3.

Seven of Auburn’s top 10 commitments will compete with Team Alabama in the game. Joining Smith and Autry on Team Alabama are safety Anquon Fegans (Thompson HS), safety Eric Winters (Enterprise HS), linebacker JaKaleb Faulk (Highland Home HS), defensive lineman Jourdin Crawford (Parker HS), wide receiver Derick Smith (Southside Selma HS), defensive lineman Antonio Coleman (Saraland HS), and running back Alvin Henderson (Elba HS).

Auburn will have one representative on Team Mississippi, quarterback Deuce Knight (George County HS). Several targets will also compete in the game for Team Alabama, including cornerback Na’eem Offord (Parker HS), and EDGE Zion Grady (Enterprise HS), both pledges to Ohio State.

Auburn’s 2025 haul currently ranks No. 5 in the nation according to 247Sports and ranks No. 4 among SEC programs.

Sebastian Williams-Adams includes Auburn in top schools

Auburn is in the mix to land a top-10 forward from the 2025 recruiting cycle.

One of the top forwards from the 2025 recruiting cycle has trimmed his college list, and Auburn remains in the hunt.

[autotag]Sebastian Williams-Adams[/autotag], a four-star power forward from Houston, Texas, revealed his final four schools this week, including the Auburn Tigers. Oklahoma State, Purdue, and Vanderbilt join Auburn in Williams-Adams’ top-four. He plans to announce his decision in November according to On3’s Joe Tipton.

Williams-Adams has visited every school on his top four list, including Auburn. He visited the Plains in September, staying through the weekend of Auburn football’s game vs. California on Sept. 7. While there, Williams-Adams told Auburn Live’s Jeffrey Lee that he enjoyed spending time with Auburn’s players and chatting with assistant coach [autotag]Corey Williams[/autotag] about his future. Auburn’s pace of play stands out to Williams-Adams’ as well.

“The coaches were really welcoming. The coaches’ energy (was my favorite part),” Williams-Adams said of his visit to Auburn in September. “I felt like we were on a whirlwind pace, but they stay happy. They stay energized. It was a real fun (visit) being here.”

Predictions appear to be hazy for Williams-Adams now. Before the release of his top four, Kansas was the favorite to land him. However, since the Jayhawks were left off of his top schools, the door is now open for a new program to take control of his recruitment.

Williams-Adams is a four-star power forward by all major recruiting outlets and ranks as high as No. 10 at his position within the 2025 recruiting cycle. According to 247Sports, Auburn has yet to receive a commitment for its 2025 haul and looks for Williams-Adams to be one of the first to join the class.

Five-star QB Jared Curtis lines up Auburn visit

The recent de-commitment from Georgia is giving Auburn a shot to win over his recruitment.

Auburn has already secured its quarterback from the 2025 recruiting class in [autotag]Deuce Knight[/autotag] and has its sights set on a top prospect at the position for 2026.

[autotag]Jared Curtis[/autotag], a 2026 quarterback from Nashville, Tennessee, announced recently that he is reopening his recruitment after backing off his pledge to Georgia on Oct. 17. Auburn joins Georgia and Alabama as schools of interest for the five-star signal-caller.

According to a report by Hunter Shelton of On3, Curtis will visit Auburn for the Tigers’ next home game, Nov. 2 against No. 25 Vanderbilt. Curtis will look to give Georgia another shot to land him on Nov. 16 when he visits Athens for the Tennessee game and will check out Alabama on Nov. 30 for the Iron Bowl.

In the interview with Shelton, Curtis says that he is looking for stability in a program and a place that he can connect with coaches, teammates, and the community. Does Curtis have a timeline for announcing his next move?

“I’d say I’m going to hold off for a little bit. Just take it step by step, you know, finish my season I have going this year,” Curtis said. “Obviously I want to take a couple of officials, get up there, connect with the coaches, a couple times to each place, probably.”

Curtis is a 6-3, 225-pound quarterback from Nashville, Tennessee. He is considered a five-star quarterback by On3 and ESPN, and is a top-five quarterback from the 2026 class by all major outlets. Ohio State is the favorite to land him according to On3 despite a visit not being planned as of the timing of this post.

Four-star guard Kaden Magwood lists Auburn among top schools

Auburn is in the mix to land the No. 2 recruit from North Carolina for the 2025 cycle.

2025 four-star shooting guard [autotag]Kaden Magwood[/autotag] has narrowed his list down to three schools ahead of his commitment on November 11.

The 6-1 prospect recently told On3’s Joe Tipton that NC State, Ole Miss, and Auburn have made the final three ahead of next month’s announcement.

A consensus top-60 recruit in the nation, Magwood is the No. 2 ranked player from the state of North Carolina. While he lacks the size of a normal top recruit, Magwood’s quickness around the rim and mid-range game helped him average nearly 23 points per game on the 3SSB Circuit this summer. Between his scoring ability and slightly undersized nature, Magwood sees a lot of former Auburn star guard Sharife Cooper in himself. The coaching staff… said I’m a scoring point guard, so I feel like I could come in and be a Sharife Cooper-type of guard, or whoever they have had there.”

The Charlotte, North Carolina native took an official visit to the Plains a few weeks ago and received an offer shortly after. When speaking with On3, Magwood explained how Auburn’s atmosphere made him feel a part of something special.

“I was there for a football game, I mean, they lost that game, but the atmosphere was great,” Magwood said. “They were up at halftime, so there were a lot of people there and a great atmosphere. I really liked it.”

If Magwood were to commit to Auburn, he’d join 2025 commit [autotag]Simon Walker[/autotag] to create a solid 1-2 combo guard punch at the top of next season’s recruiting class.

We’ll see if Auburn’s early season success, or lack thereof, will have any impact on Magwood’s decision in November. [autotag]Bruce Pearl[/autotag] and his Tigers open up the 2024-25 campaign on November 6 against Vermont at Neville Arena.

Auburn flips 2025 WR Sam Turner from Georgia Tech

Turner joins the long list of flips that Hugh Freeze and his staff have executed during the 2025 recruiting cycle.

Flipping is a common theme on the Plains, and it happened again Thursday night.

[autotag]Sam Turner[/autotag], a three-star wide receiver from Southwest DeKalb High School (Georgia), announced Thursday that he would join Auburn’s 2025 commitment class. Turner spent the previous four months committed to Georgia Tech.

Turner has been on Auburn’s radar since the summer months. Auburn extended an offer to Turner on June 26, and Turner visited campus one month later for Big Cat Weekend. Smoke surrounding Turner’s potential flip to Auburn began to emerge in July when Auburn Live’s Cole Pinkston submitted an RPM prediction in favor of Auburn landing Turner.

During his Big Cat Weekend visit, Turner shared with On3 his thoughts on the atmosphere Auburn presents.

“It’s the people, the culture, and atmosphere,” Turner said. “The culture here is just different. You can sense it as soon as you walk in from the coaching staff, from the players, from the community, it’s different.”

Turner is the No. 71 wide receiver from the 2025 class according to On3 and ranks as high as No. 29 among Georgia recruits according to Rivals. Auburn’s 2025 haul ranks No. 3 nationally according to 247Sports and No. 4 in On3‘s rankings.

Feelin’ lucky: Auburn flips four-star QB Deuce Knight from Notre Dame

Auburn finally gets its quarterback for the 2025 cycle in Deuce Knight.

Auburn fans are excited on Wednesday night as four-star quarterback [autotag]Deuce Knight[/autotag] announces his commitment to [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] and the Auburn Tigers, flipping from Notre Dame.

Knight, who had been committed to Notre Dame for over a year, flipped his decision to Auburn after flirting with the Tigers by visiting Auburn for three of the Tigers’ first five games, most recently taking his official visit to Auburn on Sept. 28 for the Tigers SEC game vs. Oklahoma.

Following his announcement, Knight spoke with Jeffrey Lee of Auburn Live to share his reasoning for switching sides to Auburn. He says that the potential of being a program-changing player enticed his decision.

“Coach (Hugh) Freeze, he thinks we can both do some special things with the offense,” Knight said. “We are both Mississippi boys. He says to come over to Alabama and take over college football.”

Knight is a four-star rated quarterback from George County High School (Mississippi). He ranks as high as No. 2 nationally among 2025 quarterbacks and is the No. 2 overall recruit from the cycle from Mississippi according to On3, 247Sports, and ESPN. By adding Knight to their 2025 haul, Auburn football’s 2025 class now ranks No. 4 by On3’s standards and No. 3 in 247Sports recruiting rankings.

Four-star ATH Derrek Cooper enjoys ‘surreal’ visit to Auburn

Cooper, the No. 1 athlete from the 2026 class, is coached by former Auburn running back Shaun Shivers at Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Florida.

Auburn football is going through a rough patch, but Tiger fans still make Jordan-Hare Stadium a challenging venue. Evidence of that can be seen from the eyes of recruits on campus for visits last weekend.

[autotag]Derrek Cooper[/autotag], the No. 1 athlete from the 2026 class from Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Hollywood, Florida, was on campus last weekend alongside fellow Auburn commitment [autotag]Denairius Gray[/autotag] and former Auburn running back [autotag]Shaun Shivers[/autotag], who coaches both athletes.

Cooper raved about his visit to the Plains with On3’s Cole Pinkston, including the exciting environment during the Tigers’ game with Oklahoma.

“Man, the experience was so surreal,” Cooper said in an interview with On3. “Every first down the crowd was just hyped, everything was so loud I could barely think. It was so loud, I loved the crowd tonight. It looked solid tonight. Oklahoma is a great team. It was a good game today.”

Cooper also tells On3 that Auburn is in the early stages of recruiting him, and says that Auburn coaches are recruiting him to play either safety or running back. When it comes to relationships, Cooper says that he wants to continue building one with head coach [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] and offensive coordinator [autotag]Derrick Nix[/autotag] as his recruitment continues.

Cooper is the No. 1 athlete from the 2026 cycle according to Rivals, ESPN, and On3’s Industry Rankings. He is also Florida’s No. 1 overall recruit from the cycle by Rivals’ standards.

Four-star QB Helaman Casuga sets commitment date, Auburn among choices

One of Auburn’s top 2026 targets will choose between Auburn and seven other programs next month.

One of Auburn’s top targets from the 2026 class is ready to announce his commitment.

[autotag]Helaman Casuga[/autotag], a four-star quarterback from Corner Canyon High School in Draper, Utah, tells Blair Angulo of 247Sports that he will announce his commitment on the official 247Sports YouTube channel on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 8:30 p.m. CT. Auburn is among the programs in the running to land Casuga along with Arizona, BYU, Nebraska, Texas A&M, USC, Utah, and Washington.

Ahead of his commitment announcement, Casuga highlighted why Auburn is a part of his top eight.

“My summer visit at Auburn was incredible,” Casuga said in an interview with 247Sports. “Coach Hugh Freeze welcomed my family and I with open arms and stays in touch with us weekly.”

Heluga’s 11th-grade season is off to a hot start as he has passed for 1,607 yards and 18 touchdowns through five games. Heluga passed for 6,475 yards and 60 touchdowns heading into the 2024 season with 374 rushing yards.

Texas A&M is the favorite according to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 97.0% forecast. However, he has not received a crystal ball prediction from 247Sports recruiting experts. Heluga would be a welcomed addition to Auburn’s 2026 class that ranks No. 2 and includes three of the nation’s top 125 recruits.

Will Casuga be Auburn’s second offensive commitment of the 2026 cycle?

Report: Four-star QB Deuce Knight expected to visit Auburn on Saturday

Will the third time be the charm for Auburn when it comes to Deuce Knight?

Auburn football hosts Arkansas for its SEC opener on Saturday, and a highly-targeted recruit could be in the stands to see the action.

According to a report from Jeffrey Lee of Auburn Live, four-star quarterback and Notre Dame pledge [autotag]Deuce Knight[/autotag] is expected to visit Auburn on Saturday for the Tigers’ SEC opener. If Knight does arrive for the visit, it will mark his third visit to the Plains in four weeks.

Prior to Knight’s visit to Auburn for the California game, Steve Wiltfong of On3 said that Knight has developed a strong relationship with director of recruiting Kenyatta Watson as well as head coach Hugh Freeze, which has led to a strong interest in Auburn.

Earlier this week, Wiltfong also said that there is a possibility that Knight could choose to take his official Auburn for the Oklahoma game at the end of September instead of going to South Bend for the Fighting Irish’s game vs. Louisville. Jeffrey Lee of Auburn Live says that Notre Dame could get that visit instead.

This weekend will be crucial for Auburn in its pursuit of Knight. If this weekend’s visit goes well, Knight could spurn the Irish next weekend, which will get Auburn one step closer to flipping the nation’s No. 6 quarterback for the 2025 class.

Auburn target Ousmane Kromah sets commitment date

Is Kromah a lock to become Auburn’s second running back commitment for the 2025 cycle?

One of Auburn’s top targets from the 2025 recruiting cycle is ready to announce his commitment.

[autotag]Ousmane Kromah[/autotag], a four-star running back from Leesburg, Georgia, tells On3’s Jeffrey Lee that he plans to announce his commitment on Saturday, Sept. 28, the same day that Auburn hosts Oklahoma at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Experts feel great about Auburn’s chances to land Kromah. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has Auburn beating out Georgia and Florida State with a 92.3% forecast while Auburn has two crystal ball predictions from recruiting analysts Tom Loy and Christian Clemente of 247Sports. It helps that Kromah has been a frequent visitor to the Plains since the 2024 season kicked off in August. So far, Kromah has been in attendance for Auburn’s wins over Alabama A&M and New Mexico.

“Why would I not want to come back?” Kromah said in a recent interview with On3. “It’s always a great atmosphere, always great energy, always good to be around (the people). They always make me feel welcome. It’s just great to be back in general. I just wanted to come back and be around the good people and just enjoy my time being down here.”

Ahead of Kromah’s commitment, Steve Wiltfong of On3 gives Auburn the advantage. However, its biggest challenger will be Kromah’s home-state school, Georgia. Expect a tight battle between [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] and Kirby Smart heading into Kromah’s commitment date.

Kromah is a top-10 running back from the 2025 cycle according to every major recruiting outlet. He ranks as high as No. 5 by both On3 and Rivals standards and is the No. 10 recruit from Georgia according to Rivals’ rankings.
