Aubrey Leach named director of player development for Lady Vols

Karen Weekly names former Lady Vol Aubrey Leach director of player development.

Tennessee softball head coach Karen Weekly announced the addition of Aubrey Leach to her staff Wednesday.

Leach, a former Lady Vol, will serve as the director of player development at Tennessee.

She has served as a volunteer assistant at Tennessee for the last three seasons, while pursuing a juris doctor. During Leach’s time as a graduate assistant, the Lady Vols three SEC championships, including two regular-season titles and a tournament championship. The Lady Vols also advanced to the Women’s College World Series in 2023.

Leach played for the Lady Vols from 2016-19 and finished her collegiate career as the program’s all-time leader in runs (253) and walks (162). She also ranked second in on-base percentage (.503).

In 2019, Leach signed a professional contract with Scrap Pitch Fast Pitch. She spent the last five years playing with Athletes Unlimited.

Kiki Milloy hits home run in World Cup

Kiki Milloy hits a two-run home run in win over Chinese Taipei.

Team USA defeated Chinese Taipei, 5-0, Tuesday in the World Baseball Softball Confederation World Cup.

The game took place in Dublin, Ireland.

Tennessee outfielder Kiki Milloy hit a two-run home run for Team USA in the contest. Her home run gave Team USA a 3-0 lead.

Milloy started the game in left field and was one of two players with ties to the Lady Vols in the contest.

Former Tennessee player Aubrey Leach also started for Team USA in right field. She recorded one hit in the contest.

Leach played for the Lady Vols from 2016-19. She is currently playing professionally in Athletes Unlimited.

Team USA next plays Wednesday against Botswana. First pitch is slated for 9 a.m. EDT.

Aubrey Leach returns to Tennessee.

A former Lady Vols softball player has returned to Tennessee as a graduate assistant coach.

Lady Vols’ head coach Karen Weekly announced she has added Aubrey Leach to her staff.

Leach will assist Weekly while she attends UT’s College of Law.

Leach played for the Lady Vols between 2016-19 and exited the program as its all-time leader in runs scored (253) and walks (162).

The two-time National Fast Pitch Coaches Association All-America standout also ranks second in on-base percentage (.503) in Lady Vols’ history. Leach was a second-team Al-America performer in 2018. She was a third-team selection during her senior season.

Following her senior season on Rocky Top, Leach played professionally for Scrap Yard Fast Pitch and Athletes United.
