Alabama offers 2024 versatile ATH Kahnen Daniels

Alabama’s coaching staff is recruiting the state of Mississippi heavily in the 2024 recruiting cycle. The Tide recently offered Mississippi athlete Kahnen Daniels.

Mississippi is one state that the Alabama coaching staff has been prioritizing in the 2024 recruiting cycle. One star prospect from the state is 2024 athlete Kahnen Daniels, who recently received an offer from the Crimson Tide.

Daniels plays for West Point High School in West Point, Mississippi and is a very important player on the Green Wave offense. He is used primarily as a runner but throws on occasion. Daniels will likely be used as a halfback or slot wide receiver at the next level.

He has a great burst in an open field and runs with a lot of power. His skillset would likely fit in well in Tommy Rees’ offense at Alabama.

Alabama lands in top-10 for 2024 ATH Demello Jones

2024 athlete Demello Jones released his top-10 schools on Monday. He included the Tide in the mix.

The Crimson Tide is looking to add more high-profile commitments to the recruiting class of 2024. One prospect that the coaching staff is heavily pursuing is 2024 athlete Demello Jones.

Jones recently released his top-10 schools and listed Alabama as a finalist. He last visited Tuscaloosa in January for Junior Day.

He has played multiple positions for Swainsboro High School this past season, as he got snaps at wide receiver, quarterback, and cornerback. His impact helped lead his squad to a 13-1 record and a bid in the Class 1A state championship.

During his junior campaign, he had 122 carries for 1,279 yards and 20 touchdowns. Jones also hauled in 14 receptions for 382 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.

Jones told Rivals’ Ryan Wright that he was planning on visiting Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama soon.

2024 ATH Kylan Fox lists Alabama as a finalist in his recruitment

2024 prospect Kylan Fox listed Alabama in his top-15 on Sunday. He received an offer from the Tide in June.

One position that the Alabama coaching staff will likely place an emphasis on in the 2024 recruiting cycle is the tight end. With the recent hiring of Tommy Rees as offensive coordinator, it seems like the Tide might return to being a run-heavy offense. That was the case for Rees’ offenses at Notre Dame.

One prospect that could be implemented as both a run blocker and pass catcher is 2024 athlete Kylan Fox. He recently listed Alabama as a finalist in his recruitment on Sunday.

The product of Grayson High School has the frame to be a tight end in Alabama’s system at 6-foot-4, 208 pounds. Fox put his skillset on display during his junior year when he hauled in 25 receptions for 326 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

One of the more interesting things to note is the fact that Georgia did not make the top-15 for Fox, even though he took four trips to Athens. He has been to Tuscaloosa twice and will likely return at some point during his senior season.

Alabama named a finalist in 2024 ATH Jalewis Solomon’s recruitment

2024 athlete Jalewis Solomon listed Alabama in his top-11. He has taken multiple trips to Tuscaloosa up to this point.

Recently, 2024 athlete Jalewis Solomon listed Alabama as a finalist in his recruitment. The Tide was one of 11 schools to make the cut.

Solomon plays both cornerback and wide receiver for Schley County High School in Ellaville, Georgia. As a junior, Solomon hauled in 86 receptions for 1,210 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. At cornerback, he tallied 29 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and three interceptions.

His ability to play both sides of the ball at an elite level stands out on film. He has great size and versatility to play on either side of the ball at the college level.

Something interesting to note is that Alabama is also recruiting his brother, Zayden Walker. Walker is a recruit in the 2025 class. However, the two will likely look to pair up at the next level.

Alabama offers 2024 Georgia commit, in-state prospect Demarcus Riddick

Alabama extended an offer to 2024 in-state ATH Demarcus Riddick who is currently committed to Georgia.

Alabama might be ‘poking the bear’ by offering 2024 athlete and Georgia commit Demarcus Riddick. He has been committed to the Bulldogs since November of 2022.

What makes this recruitment so interesting is the fact that Riddick plays for Chilton County High School which is located just over an hour away from Tuscaloosa. That being said, he has practically grown up in Alabama’s backyard.

Riddick is rated as one of the best prospects in the state by all recruiting circuits. His ability to contribute in all three phases of the game separates him from most other recruits in the country. Last season, he tallied 109 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, and seven sacks. He also recorded three interceptions.

In the past, Riddick has made it clear that Georgia was the school for him. When speaking with On3’s Chad Simmons, Riddick had this to say following his commitment to Georgia:

“I always wanted to go to Georgia. I grew up a Georgia fan, so when I got the offer, I knew it was a school I loved. Once I got to know the coaches, took some visits there and knew I felt at home, it was really over.”

Based off of that, the Alabama coaching staff will have their work cut out for them in trying to flip the in-state target. However, Alabama’s next defensive coordinator hire could play a key role in his recruitment. If the Tide hire Georgia co-defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann, it could enhance their odds of flipping Riddick.

Alabama offers fast-rising, 2024 ATH JJ Harrell

The Alabama coaching staff will have to be able to out-recruit Lane Kiffin and Pete Golding for some of the state’s elite prospects. Recently, they offered 2024 ATH and Mississippi native JJ Harrell.

The original plan was for 2024 athlete JJ Harrell to announce his commitment on Jan. 30. However, he postponed his commitment date to a later time after receiving an offer from Alabama.

Harrell plays primarily wide receiver at North Panola High School. He is very versatile on the perimeter and flashes the ability to create separation effortlessly. It is also worth noting that he also plays basketball for his high school.

Prior to changing his commitment date, On3’s RPM heavily favored Ole Miss at 50.9% likelihood. It will be interesting to see if that shifts in the near future with the decision to re-open his recruitment.

Alabama offers 2025 ATH Josiah Abdullah from Peach state

Alabama’s coaching staff has hit the ground running in terms of recruiting future prospects, which includes 2025 ATH Josiah Abdullah

Alabama’s coaching staff has already begun to recruit prospects in future recruiting classes. Recently, the Tide offered 2025 athlete Josiah Abdullah. He is a fast riser on the recruiting circuit currently. He has received 26 offers up to this point.

Abdullah is listed at 5-foot-11, 170 pounds, according to 247Sports. In his freshman highlights, he flashes the ability to get open downfield and displays great top-end speed. He will likely play wide receiver at the next level. Alabama is expected to give him the option to play the position that he prefers.

Several other programs that have offered Abdullah are Arkansas, Florida State, Tennessee, Kentucky, Michigan, and Texas. At this time, Tennessee is the favorite to land Abdullah at 66.0%, according to On3’s RPM.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Abdullah’s recruiting profile as well as other Alabama football recruiting news.
