Chris Matthews, also known as Lethal Shooter, is one of the most sought-after shooting coaches in the world.

Chris Matthews, who you may know better as Lethal Shooter, is one of the most sought-after shooting coaches in the world.

Matthews, who is known for posting trick shots and tips about mastering the art of shooting to his nearly two million followers on Instagram, has helped countless professional basketball players perfect their jump shots. He was also recently responsible for helping Team USA’s 3×3 squad prepare for the Olympics.

Before he became a coach, he had a long career playing the sport. He was a high school standout at National Christian Academy in Maryland, where he played alongside Kevin Durant. He was then a D-I athlete at Washington State University and St. Bonaventure and later played international basketball in Canada, Russia and China.

In addition to his work training professional players, Matthews has also helped non-basketball stars like Drake and Michael B. Jordan improve their jumper as well.

These days, he also co-hosts the podcast Certified Buckets with Ashley Nicole Moss and Kristian Winfield on UNINTERRUPTED. The second season will premiere on Wednesday, September 22. You can stream it on all podcasting platforms or by clicking here.

Matthews recently caught up with For The Win over the phone. Please note this interview was minorly edited in its transcript for clarity.
